33 Firms Said To Be Operating in the South Tower of the World Trade Center Were Unknown to Dun & Bradstreet
While 79 Firms Said To Be Operating in the North Tower of the World Trade Center Were Unknown to Dun & Bradstreet.
Dun & Bradstreet published a "World Trade Center Business Listing," current "As of 9/11/01," which carried this heading:
The following is a list of those businesses that, according to Dun & Bradstreet's records, operated from an address at the World Trade Center. This information is representative of information in D&B's database as of September 11, 2001 and may be updated as additional facts become known. Please Note: In some instances there will be multiple records with the same name or a similar name. This may result from the existence of multiple business operations or divisions/affiliates within the World Trade Center. D&B requests that any reprinting, reproduction or redistribution of this information include the following notation: Source: Dun & Bradstreet - www.dnb.com
Dun & Bradstreet needn't have worried about getting credit for their summary. I am the first person to quote this record in almost a decade's time.
Perhaps that's because when collating the D&B WTC business records along with the first official listing of tenants put out by the Port Authority---released at the beginning of 2011 as the result of a FOIL request from members of the Let's Roll Forum---we find that 79 companies who were said to be occupying office suites in the North Tower on September 11th, 2001, and 34 companies said to be occupying office suites in the South Tower on September 11th, 2001,were entirely unknown business entities to the Dun & Bradstreet record keepers. And according to the published lease start dates, many of these companies had supposedly been occupants for several years prior to 9/11.
33 out of a total of 93 active, individual tenancies, or 35% of total.

An article in the online edition of The Guardian, "Grim roll call of the companies located in World Trade Centre," is informative and bears reposting here in full. It was "published on guardian.co.uk at 16.31 BST on Friday 14 September 2001. It was last modified at 16.31 GMT on Tuesday 20 November 2001. It was first published at 16.31 GMT on Tuesday 20 November 2001," and it was reported by Geoff Gibbs, Richard Adams, Nick Pandya, Simon Bowers, Tania Branigan and Sarah Hall.
In it, with hindsight, we can see much of the planned agenda at work in establishing what was a totally scripted victim/tenant narrative, with many fluid elements in the scenario immediately after the attack. I'll offer editorial comments within the text, in red italics. At this point in the aftermath, all the world-wide media had to go on was the original tenants list put out by CoStar Group, along with whatever news or information they could dig up. This article supposedly reports on the first-person contacts by their staff with spokespeople in the various affected companies. It doesn't aim to be comprehensive. For instance, they begin on the 104th floor of the South Tower, conveniently the 50,061 s.f. 106th floor tenancy of Atlantic Bank of New York, as reported by CNN News. The article begins below:

Sandler O'Neill and Partners investment banking firm said it knew of only 21 employees who were safe while 67 were still unaccounted for. Among the missing were Herman Sandler, a founding partner, and Chris Quackenbush, head of investment banking.

Regus Business Centres said five employees unaccounted for but trying to ascertain precisely how many clients were in the offices. Concerned toll could rise significantly
Regus, which provided companies with temporary, small-scale offices, or office services, was planned as a way to justify the disappearances of deep cover assets from a variety of backgrounds, in the same way that Alliance Business Center, operating in the North Tower allowed, as did the Risk Waters conference, held at Windows on the World Restaurant, which became a "catch-all" category for professional losses. Unfortunately for the planners, Regus didn't start operation in the South Tower until June of 2001, and so, wisely, its utilization was abandoned, other than the handful of staff said to have perished. Still, the early "concern" was "significantly" elevated.
Floors 92 ,99 and 100
AON Corporation, insurance agency. The vast majority of 1,100 staff in the WTC reported safe. Number of confirmed survivors said to be growing but company unable to say how many were British
Let us be clear that all the media reports say that AON occupied three full floor, and not the seven floors the Port Authority is wont to dissemble. Most of the significant, legitimate tenants in the trade center had their square footage doubled by the PA to account for some of the vast amount of empty space within the towers.
Floor 91
Washington Group said roughly 140 of 180 staff were safe
Roughly they say. Although the Washington Group did in fact have a listing with Dun & Bradstreet, this firm's name conspicuously disappeared from later news reports, subsumed within the Raytheon corporate family perhaps. In "fact" eleven Washington Group employees and contractors were said to have been killed in the South Tower, which is a far cry from 40. (See Victims of the World Trade Center attack, listed by employer, at www.albany.edu/mumford/wtc/employer.htm)
Interestingly, the only "Raytheon" deaths were four executives killed on the various 9/11 flights. Another firm said to have had offices on the 91rst floor was Gibbs & Hill, which according to a district attorney was entirely a bogus operation.
Floors 90, 94, 95, 96 and 97
Franklin Templeton Investments, owners of Fiduciary Trust Company International, said that between half and three-quarters of its 600 employees were accounted for. Fiduciary Trust was bought by Franklin Templeton in April this year, and the company specialised in investments for very wealthy individuals. The company's chairman, Charles Johnson, said: "Our greatest concern at this time is for the safety and wellbeing of our employees"
Their "great concern" left a pretty broad range of between 300 and 150 potentially dead employees (remember, this is Friday following the attacks.) The last-minute reorganization of companies is also a marked motif throughout the 9/11 conspiracy. Franklin Templeton Investments does not have a Dun & Bradstreet ID. (The final tally was 46 for Fidelity, and one for Franklin Templeton, or 47 total.)
Floors 88 and 89
The US brokerage firm of Keefe, Bruyette and Woods said 69 of its 172 employees were missing
Compare Keefe, Bruyette and Woods losses with the Corporation Service Company, one floor below. Maybe it wasn't in CSC's interest to die, so they didn't. K,B&W also had an 97,600s.f., lease for their 172 employees, or an outrageous 567s.f. per employee.
Floor 87
The Corporation Service Company, an international incorporation and document retrieval organisation, said it was "a miracle" that all 108 of its employees were safely evacuated from the south tower. "We have some real heroes in our company who escorted people down and out safely," said Scott Malfitano, a vice-president for CSC at the company's headquarters in Delaware. "It was an incredible story - everyone pulled together." The staff had made it to the 60th floor by the time the second plane hit
Floor 86 and 87
The tax enforcement arm of the New York state department of taxation and finance said 40 of its 222 employees were unaccounted for
What was this New York State office still doing in the World Trade Center? New York State at one time had 60 floors of offices in the south tower, but these offices were relocated in the late 1980's. See the November 29, 1987, New York Times, "New York State Offices; The Tainted Move From the World Trade Center," by Mark McCain, which said specifically that
"Next Friday, several agencies including the Department of Taxation and Finance will begin moving into eight 20,000-square-foot floors at 80 Maiden Lane, a 75-year-old office building in downtown Manhattan."
And that meant Friday, 1987! A completely fraudulent state office, and 40 faked deaths, or early retirement for government workers, to boot.
Floor 85
Law firm Harris Beach said it could account for all but five of its 113 employees
Floor 84
Maxcor Financial/Eurobrokers. Company says 60 out of 285 employees unaccounted for
All the early tenants lists place Eurobrokers on the 12th floor of the South Tower. How, and when, did this firm migrate up into the death zone? There has to be a few honest WTC workers out there who remember this small detail.
Floors 79 to 82
Fuji Bank says 50 of its 650 employees are still missing
Floors 47 to 54
Marsh and McLennan owned two insurance companies: Guy Carpenter, and Seabury & Smith. The parent company said it also owned another company, MMC Enterprise Risk, housed in the north tower. In total the company had 1,700 employees at the World Trade Centre, and had accounted for 1,100
I love the way the English business writers have worded this. A direct quote from Marsh explains this new corporate identity that no one had ever heard of before. FYI Marsh had no legitimate offices in the North Tower. And, of course, D&B have never heard of "MMC Enterprise Risk" either, even though the lease began in 1997!
Floor 48
Fireman's Fund Insurance Co said all 190 employees escaped safely
Floors 43-46 , 56, 59 -74

Floor 37
Siemens, the German engineering and technology group, had 73 employees. Some of the staff were Europeans, but most were from the US, according to Constantin Birnstiel at Siemens' head office in Munich. "One person is seriously injured in hospital, and all the other employees in the office at the time were saved before the tower collapsed," he said. Most of the staff were employed by Siemens' transport systems group Siemens is not a name that Dun & Bradstreet are familiar with in the WTC
Floor 33
Rohde & Liesenfeld, a transportation company, said 38 of 40 employees were accounted for
Floors 31 and 32

South tower
Floor 104
Sandler O'Neill and Partners investment banking firm said it knew of only 21 employees who were safe while 67 were still unaccounted for. Among the missing were Herman Sandler, a founding partner, and Chris Quackenbush, head of investment banking.
Floor 93
Investment bankers Morgan Stanley said evacuation started immediately the north tower was hit and the "vast majority" of its 3,500 employees got out of the tower and another WTC building safely. "We have some missing people we are looking for"
Floor 38 to 40
Law firm Thacher, Proffitt & Wood said nearly all its 300 staff managed to escape. "We've accounted for almost all of our staff," said Omar Williams, a partner at the firm. "We are down to about eight people that we have not been able to reach"
Floor 33
Rohde & Liesenfeld, a transportation company, said 38 of 40 employees were accounted for
Floors 31 and 32
Oppenheimer Funds, an investment operation, said: "We are thankful that all of the 598 Oppenheimer Funds employees in our World Trade Centre offices are safe. Only two minor injuries were reported"
Oppenheimer was on two floors, according to The Guardian, not the four floors the PA gives them.
Floors 28 to 30
New York stock exchange said its staff of around 300 people are safe
Floors 25 and 26
Computer services firm Sun Microsystems said all 346 employees assigned to the offices are accounted for and safe, but Phil Rosenzweig, a director within the group's software business, was one of those who died aboard the plane which crashed into the north tower
Floor 24
Groupe Coface, the French-owned export credit company, said all its 15 employees were unharmed. "We can confirm that the Coface and Unistrat teams are safe and well. In fact, all of our colleagues who were in the building at the moment of the terrorist strike were successfully evacuated, and we have been in contact with every one of them," a company spokesman said
Floor22
Leading New York architects firm Mancini Duffy had no casualties.
What became of Mancini Duffy? They disappeared from the Port Authority FOIL tenants list.
