I actually can't recall how I found this website, but I was drawn to it because I am a member of another Rapture forum, but they're collective behavior and beliefs have made me rather skittish and skeptical.
In any case...
I'm originally from Arizona, but now living in North Dakota (from one border to the other, so to speak). I'm married with two children (twins, a boy and girl, that recently turned 8 years old). I work as a cake decorator currently, although was a stay-at-home mom until the kiddos started school.
I was taken to church ever since I was small (a Southern Baptist church), and my mom tells me that she thinks I was saved when I was very young. While this is possible, and I certainly remember knowing about and believing in Jesus Christ as a youth and into high school, I fell away in high school. I met someone there who practiced a religion called Wicca, and I began doing the same. Eventually, I became a high priestess for a coven in my area, and then began incorporating more and more New Age ideals, doctrines and practices into my beliefs as time went on. I was pretty deep into the New Age by the time Christ pulled me out of that crevasse.
Suffice it to say, Jesus Christ (the matchless Creator and Savior, God Almighty, Son of God, Immanuel) found me, and I took the hand He had offered to me. That was about five or six years ago. I can explain how that all happened, but I'm reluctant to chatter about myself to begin with.
I'm happy to be in a place that is sober, discerning, and Scriptural, and loves God. Our God is an awesome God, indeed.
Much love to you all,
Miriam
