The REAL Reason for “Fast and Furious” in Spite of Holder’s Denial

Attorney General Eric Holder is lying. He knows it. Congress knows it. The world knows it. He probably figures that if he stone walls Congress long enough, they’ll drop it and move onto something else. If they do this, they should all be fired!
The reality is that this exercise in gun-running was simply the Obama Administration’s attempt to artificially create a situation in which they could say “See how easy it is to get guns illegally into Mexico?“ The response to this rhetorical question would be something akin to, “Now, do you people understand why we need tougher gun control laws?“ It completely backfired because of the death of one of our own, a Border Patrol agent who was killed with at least one of the rifles that walked in Mexico uncontrolled.
It was as if the Obama Administration with the full support and collusion of AG Holder and the ATF simply handed thousands of assault weapons to the drug cartels in Mexico. The truth is that the information regarding “Fast and Furious” was never supposed to get out.
Oh, some of it would have gotten out and then people would have jumped all over people like me for contriving so-called “conspiracy theories.” But that cannot be ignored any longer because people in Congress are waking up to the fact that this is exactly what this administration has done in the hopes of making it far more difficult for the average LAW-ABIDING citizen to purchase and own guns.
During this process, Holder has claimed that this exact same type of operation existed under Bush. Hard to believe since the Bush family are such avid hunters. However, let’s say that this WAS the case and the exact same type of gun-running situation occurred under Bush’s tenure as POTUS. If that was the case, then he should be arrested, tried, and convicted, no ifs, ands, or butts!
What the administration has done is illegal and now they are trying desperately to cover their tracks by stonewalling and lying about it to justify their pompous and arrogant acts of indecency and lawlessness. This particular president takes the cake. He has the worst group of individuals around him who seemingly can do nothing “right.” They even screw up a gun-running event that was designed purely to help them turn the screws on gun owners.
With respect to the chicanery that has transpired, Texas Congressman Ted Poe has stated:
“For the attorney general to come in here at this time and say, ‘Well, we weren’t really aware of all this stuff that was going on,’ is just not believable.
“…They obviously knew that this was going on — someone did and I think that he did. The idea that none of these people that worked for him misled or lied to Congress is not believable in itself.
“…And it’s interesting, the Justice Department now has taken a half-dozen of these people that are in the Justice Department and apparently were involved in Fast and Furious and moved them somewhere else. Somebody got promoted. Why are they moving those people around if all of a sudden they are saying they didn’t have anything to do with it?
“…Rather than blame the Justice Department for allowing people to get killed in Mexico and losing these guns — over 1,400 of these guns have not been accounted for — rather than assume responsibility and blame for that, they want to say ‘It’s the gun dealers’ fault. It’s not our fault, it’s the gun dealers.’ So, yes, this was a ruse to go after more gun control.” [1]
Holder has tried to convince people he knew nothing. He has tried to blame the Daily Caller. He has tried to place the blame on the American people (for paying taxes that allowed the ATF to do what they do), and now he has added blaming the gun dealers to the mix! This is in spite of the fact that a number of gun dealers did not want to go through with it, but were repeatedly told by ATF personnel that it was fine and they should let the guns walk. This means though the gun dealers had grave concerns about selling these guns through what they instinctively knew were straw purchases, they were told to do it.
Now, Holder wants to blame these gun dealers. The ATF is not known for treating citizens of the U.S. fairly. There are too many cases of them waltzing into some legitimate gun dealer’s store, handcuffing him in front of customers, ransacking the place, breaking or taking weapons at will, then simply leaving.
So while someone might argue that the gun dealers should have refused, I can only imagine what might have transpired had they done that. So they did what they were told to do and since gun dealers fall under the auspices of the ATF, the ATF is essentially their boss. They did what their boss wanted them to do and because of it, a U.S. citizen died. Can you imagine how the gun dealer who sold that gun must feel? Now we have Eric Holder trying every lie and redirect possible to avoid being expelled from his post.
Eric Holder needs to be impeached. He needs to be fired. In fact, so does President Obama. They both knew of the situation and they both knew why “Fast and Furious” was important to them. They are both anti-gunners. Though they have their own security forces and constant protection, they want to make it tougher for the average individual to be able to use deadly force when warranted. They want Americans to believe that if more laws are enacted against guns, America will be a safer place. Every study has shown that the statistics are against such a fantasy belief system, yet it permeates Washington.
There is only one reason why our Federal government would be interested in making it more difficult to buy guns, and eventually eradicating the right to own guns. The reason has to do with the fact that without guns, the Federal government can do exactly what they want to do to American citizens.
Obama is working with the U.N. to increase a security force in the United States. Congress has enacted a law that will make it possible to detain Americans without reason. This should tell us everything we need to know but there are still those freakin’ bleeding heart liberals who say that they are concerned about our health, well-being, and safety. They stand at their podiums with alligator tears running down their faces, as they say that if only one child’s life is saved, it’s worth it. They sniffle through speeches about how so and so was gunned down and obviously the only real solution is to outlaw all guns…sniff…sniff.
It does not work! Removing guns from law-abiding citizens does nothing to curb the violence of gangbangers and general criminals who are bent on destruction. They have no scruples and they couldn’t care less about you. They want what they want and if that means rape, they will rape. If it means murder, they will murder. It is a no-brainer to all except liberal, leftheads who come across as altruistic, but in reality are simply working with the Federal government to outlaw access to guns.
Lori Saldana – Assemblywoman from Los Angeles – felt the need to outlaw open carry in California. Open carry is just that. A gun in a non-concealed place that is not loaded. There are no bullets in the gun anywhere and ammo cannot be in close proximity. In other words, a person who opted to open carry presented no danger to anyone, unless of course he/she used their gun to heave it at someone.
Saldana believes that people in California should not live in fear. So instead of going after the criminal element, she decided that when people see a weapon, this will cause fear. Fear might lead to shock. Shock might lead to cardiac arrest. I have no clue what the woman was thinking but it doesn’t sound like she was thinking at all.
So open carry is now banned in California. Do you feel safer people of California? You should because that’s what Saldana said would be the result.
My question – and I’ve asked it before – is this: what about gangbangers? They normally carry at least one and more likely two weapons, fully loaded on their person. But wait! I can’t SEE their guns so I should not be afraid! No need to fear…Lori Saldana’s open carry ban is here!
Another legislative wunderkind decided that he wanted to make it very difficult for gangbangers to obtain ammo. What did he do? He decided to try to pass a law that would outlaw certain ammo from being bought on the Internet. Sure, take it out on the hard-working companies across the U.S. and the Californians would are trying to save a buck by purchasing ammo online.
What this imbecile did not consider (after the law was passed) that it would be shot down immediately because he never defined what ammo “gangbangers” use and since most ammo can be used in both long guns and handguns, it becomes asinine to try and sort through the mess. Last I heard – before we left Kommifornia for greener pastures – was that he was trying again, using different terminology.
Anti-gunners show no sign of giving up and thankfully, groups like the NRA show no sign of caving into them in defeat. But what the Obama Administration has done that resulted in the death of one U.S. Border Patrol agent and countless Americans and Mexicans south of the border is unconscionable. Someone needs to pay for this crime and it needs to happen quickly.
Congress needs to stop pussyfooting around and get to it. They need to declare war on Eric Holder. He needs to be impeached. He needs to actually step down and I firmly believe that if were white, he would already be out of the picture.
I’m hoping that more Congressman in DC will stand tall and do what needs to be done. I’m also hoping that those Congressman and women who opt to not do anything will be voted out of a job in the next election. It’s only fair and it needs to happen.
