Recently I became a dad. It was one of the greatest joys of my life. I knew love before then....but i have to be honest, love is completely increased when you have a child. I thought i would ask what things you would do different...then your dad did for/to you?
For me, i have to say that i want very hard to treat my children equally and show them equal love and affection(if i have anymore children). My dad loved me, but oftentimes he seemed to treat me and my brother differently. He had higher standards for me it seemed and sometimes it made me very sad. He always told me he loved me, but he sometimes seemed like he was scolding me when he was just trying to help. I love my dad, and he is great to me....and he always was, but we always try to do things different than our parents did.

I have 2 boys and treat them different. You have to because one can handle more than the other and one is older.....I put more on my 10 yr old than my older son because I know he can handle it. We were not made the same....
The other thing is to go bakc in time and do what ever it took to keep me from getting so much hurt and metal so I can do more things like they deserve

Yeah. My problem was that i was the younger one...but my dad still expected more from me. Probably because i was well behaved. I thank God though that my parents brought me up knowing Jesus. That's the most important thing i hope to pass on to my children.
