This is bittersweet - I can't help think about all the animals who didn't make it. I know they're with the Lord, but I hate to think of them being afraid or suffering for even a moment - they're innocent and without sin, and don't deserve that. The Irwin Family Has Saved More Than 90K Animals Amid Australian Wildfires
Rae Batchelor 6 Jan 2020 The wildfires in Australia that have been burning since September have caused immeasurable destruction and devastation to the country. Twenty-three people have lost their lives, many have lost or had to evacuate their homes, and wildlife is being forced to flee their habitats or get caught in the blaze. The Irwin family has always been incredibly passionate about conservation, and that's not changing now. Instagram | @bindisueirwin Bindi Irwin shared a shot of her in the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital, which was founded by her father, the late Steve Irwin, in 2002, with the caption, "With so many devastating fires within Australia, my heart breaks for the people and wildlife who have lost so much. " "I wanted to let you know that we are SAFE. There are no fires near us @australiazoo or our conservation properties." Instagram | @bindisueirwin "Our Wildlife Hospital is busier than ever though, having officially treated over 90,000 patients. My parents dedicated our Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital to my beautiful grandmother. We will continue to honour her by being Wildlife Warriors and saving as many lives as we can," Bindi wrote. link
