Child killers are being released in California to prevent them from getting coronavirus in jail, even as quarantine breakers are being threatened with arrest for daring to violate the government’s quarantine orders.
You heard that right. California is freeing child killers but warning citizens that they might go to jail if they dare leave their homes during the quarantine.
Gov. Gavin Newsom commuted the sentences of 21 convicted felons on Friday, two of whom were convicted of killing children. Indeed, 14 of the 21 freed criminals were convicted of murder, NBC News reported.
The two child killers included Suzanne Johnson, 75, and Joann Parks, 64. Another killer, 50-year-old Rodney McNeal, was freed despite being convicted of stabbing his pregnant wife to death.

Newsom, who claimed he would probably have freed these dangerous criminals anyway, also noted that the coronavirus played a part in his actions because he “also considered the public health impact of each grant, as well as each inmate’s individual health status and the suitability of their post-release plans, including housing.”
Meanwhile, Newsom also warned the citizens of his state not to break his coronavirus quarantine orders or face legal action. Newsom did not immediately expect to order police to arrest anyone, but the fact is a legal penalty is part of the order and how is that to be enforced if arrest isn’t a possibility?
California is not alone in this head-spinning, authoritarian action. Philly Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw (that really IS her name) announced that she was putting an end to arresting criminals even as her coppers do have the authority to arrest people for breaking the coronavirus quarantine.
And police in New Jersey have already started arresting people for violating the ban on large gatherings.
Once again, we see liberals treating quarantine breakers as more dangerous than thieves, armed robbers, rapists, and murderers.
That’s a liberal for you.
