Father received 2nd dose of Moderna Vaxx yesterday afternoon; now on 100% oxygen and in ICU
I'm 39 and my father is 69. He received his second dose of Moderna vaccine yesterday on the 31st of August.
He went about his day as normal and even spent time with his granddaughter who is 7 months old and even visited his dead 1st cousins widow before transpiring for the night at home.
I spoke to him last around 9:00pm central.
I was awoken the morning by my sister telling me dad had turned for the worse in a big way.
He woke his wife complaining he could not breathe and barely could walk. He began running a fever and she rushed him to the ER. There he was put in 100% oxygen to attempt to keep him off a ventilator: his O2 had dropped to 73%. They are waiting for an ICU bed to open as he has developed pneumonia.
That is all I know as of this moment. I do not know if he has coronavirus (Covid-19), whether or is vax related or not, or anything else. All I do know is he has a fever, has pneumonia, took his second dose yesterday of moderna, and is waiting for an ICU bed. He also is on 100% oxygen to keep him off a ventilator.
We believe it to be vax related. If we will ever know for certain we don't know.
My stepmom is the liaison here for me personally as the hospital will not allow but one person a day and once they leave they cannot come back. And no one else new can come. Lack of information is infuriating.
