This is not normal for all the flights being cancelled and differing explanations being given. I would take this as a tell that something 9-1-1 is brewing and some people know.
Stay home or near home for the next week.

After a beautiful trip. Our flight was delayed three times, and then cancelled. All Florida airports are shut down, they just walked off the job. No flights out of Florida until at least Wednesday! 🤦🏽 The rental car line is 6 miles long and no cars to drive. But God will make a way!! If you have someone in Florida they are stuck!! I have travelled but I have never seen anything like this before. But Daddy and I will get home. See ya soon!!

Tons of comments on Facebook. Most stuck in Florida are being told no flights available until the 6th.

Interesting find, Midnight! I've done some further research into this, and came up with the following. Something is up - but what? "Excuses" given by the airlines include technical, picketing (?), and weather. Not mentioned by them, and I don't expect it would be, but it's plausible there's a shortage of pilots because of the vaxx, and possibly fuel shortages. Short of pilots, Alaska Airlines cancels dozens more weekend flights
April 2, 2022 at 9:14 am Updated April 3, 2022 at 12:39 pm Over 60 Alaska Airlines flights were canceled at Sea-Tac on Friday amid a pilot shortage. More cancellations occurred Saturday and still more are coming Sunday. (Ellen M. Banner / The Seattle Times) Over 60 Alaska Airlines flights were canceled at Sea-Tac on Friday amid a pilot shortage. More cancellations occurred Saturday and still more are... (Ellen M. Banner / The Seattle By Dominic Gates and Nina Shapiro Seattle Times staff reporters Alaska Airlines canceled 73 flights Sunday, an increase over its predictions from earlier, with more than 9,800 passengers affected as a pilot shortage continues to impact the air carrier’s business. The cancellations included 32 flights at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on Sunday. “Additional cancellations are possible,” the airline posted on its media website Sunday morning. The airline had previously canceled 92 flights on Saturday, with another 18 flights significantly delayed by what officials said was a mix of weather, mechanical and “other standard issues.” At Sea-Tac on Saturday, the airline canceled 27 departures and 32 arriving flights were canceled. On Friday, the airline canceled 68 flights at Sea-Tac and more than 120 overall, affecting at least 15,300 travelers. Every U.S. airline is facing the impacts of a national pilot shortage, brought on by reductions in staffing during the pandemic and a quicker than expected rebound in air travel this year. However, Alaska has been hit worse than most. With pilots now so in demand, they can choose where to work more easily. Alaska, currently in an increasingly bitter standoff with the union representing its pilots over a new contract, has lost dozens of pilots this year to other major U.S. carriers. Despite the ongoing problem, Alaska spokesperson Alexa Rudin said via email that the major travel disruption this weekend should ease in the next few days. “A significant portion of today’s cancels are clean up from the cancels yesterday that displaced aircraft and crews,” she wrote. “This situation will continue to improve as we resolve those impacts over the next couple days.” Constance von Muehlen, Alaska’s chief operating officer, said in a statement Saturday the airline is “doing everything we can” to support affected passengers. Odd. Seems like the world is preparing for war; maybe that has something to do with it? Or could it be connected with the recent 5G rollout?

Well, here's the excuse from Southwest, but what about all the others? Southwest Airlines Blames Technical Issues After More Than 2,000 Flights Canceled or Delayed This Weekend
By Cristina Laila Published April 3, 2022 at 5:00pm Southwest Airlines blamed technical issues after more than 2,000 flights were canceled or delayed this weekend. 470 flights were canceled and 1,438 were delayed on Saturday, according to reports. The airline claimed a “planned system outage” and severe thunderstorms affected flights nationwide. KPRC reported: A “planned system outage” early on Saturday affected Southwest Airlines flights nationwide, including some at Houston-area airports. In a statement, the airline said the outage was due to technical issues that rose following routine overnight maintenance, affecting flights that were scheduled to depart earlier Saturday morning. Passengers on social media have reported flight delays throughout the country, including at both Houston’s Bush and Hobby Airports. A spokesperson for Houston Airports told KPRC 2 that the airline’s systems went down at around 4 a.m. but went back online at around 6 a.m. It is unknown how many flights have been affected at both airports. Travelers affected by the cancelations and delays aired their grievances on social media. Continued at link
