Admittedly, we've had some of Begley's videos posted on the board in the past, but more and more often I found myself getting a check in my spirit over him. Not only is his shouting "ARE YOU SERIOUS?" distracting and unprofessional, but he doesn't check his sources, resulting in false information being presented as the truth, proudly displays a RCC crucifix, and had been getting more and more "out there." His videos are no longer permitted on this board, and if I had any doubts, these two videos confirm that I was right in banning him.
In them he claims that "the lord" revealed 13 prophecies to him of things that would happen in 2013. (Hmmm....sorta reminds me of "88 Reasons Why the Rapture Has to be in 1988"...but a bit less ambitious.) Well, first of all, these so-called prophecies are mostly so vague that they're meaningless. "More tornadoes?" "The economy will suffer and get worse?" Gee, what a surprise, especially since those things have been escalating for the past few years.
"There's a 50% chance that the covenant will be signed." Duh! 50% means it either will or it won't - no new revelation there!
He claims there will be "a great move of God - a great revival like in the days of Oral Roberts or Pensacola." Really? Oral Roberts was a false teacher who fleeced the sheep with his phony "seed faith" teaching. As for Pensacola - that was totally demonic.
As do many who subscribe to the lying signs and wonders and put great stock in dreams and visions they claim are from "god," Begley quotes Joel 2:28 as evidence that his prophecies are legit. This Scripture was fulfilled in part on Pentecost (Acts 2:17 repeats it almost word-for-word) but was intended - as I learned from a theology class taught by Jimmy DeYoung (who is a qualified Bible scholar, unlike Begley who has NO theological training whatsoever) for the Jews during the Tribulation.
The Canon is closed (Rev. 22); the modern day office of prophet means nothing more than a prophet one who teaches and shares the Word of God...there are NO new revelations.
Begley is, IMHO, in serious spiritual danger unless he repents; not only is he promoting false teachings and adding to God's revealed word, he's attributing things to the Holy Spirit that are not of Him. Yes, I am serious!
