(16 oz.) watermelon (or any other flavor) unsweetened Kool-Aid powder1 1/2 cups sugar1 1/4 cups softened butter2 eggs, beaten1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda3 cups flour1/2 cup sugar (for rolling)Mix the Kool-Aid and sugar; add the softened butter, and beat until fluffy.Add the eggs and mix well; mix in salt and baking soda. Add the flour in increments.Grease cookie sheets, or cover in parchment. Form dough into 1" balls, roll in 1/2 of sugar, and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 325 for 10-12 minutes, until they start to turn golden around the edges. (Do not overbake.) Cool on cookie sheet for no more than a minute, then move to wire rack to cool completely. Makes about 6 dozen cookies.NOTE: You can also roll out the dough and cut into desires shapes with a cookie cutter, then decorate.
