I have also made them with smaller ropes of dough around them.Put on greased baking panBrush lightly with the baking soda water:1 cup warm water 100-110°1 tbls of baking sodaLet Rise (I turned on the oven at 200° for 2 mins. Turned oven off & put them in the oven to rise 20 mins).Bake at 450° for 10 mins or until golden brownMelt 2 tbls butterBrush top of hot dogs after you take them out of the ovenSprinkle with coarse saltMakes 10I did not use the vital wheat gluten. I used bread flour.
