Martha Stewart Channels Lady Gaga On Halloween Magazine Cover
Call it a sign of the times, but you know Lady Gaga means something big when even Martha Stewart wants her makeup done like the Mother Monster’s.
Stewart, the 70-year-old domestic diva and former model, is featured on the cover of Martha Stewart Halloween as Motha (sort of like Mothra, but chicer) in a platinum blonde bob and moth-like eyelashes that look like they’re about to fly off her face. There’s also a moth posing as an accessory on Stewart’s finger, which she is coyly using to support the weight of her billion-dollar chin.
The whole look recalls the sequined butterfly applique Gags sported in her teaser cover for the V Magazine Asia issue earlier this year. Gaga’s face-butterfly was inspired by the nation of Japan, but Stewart’s is just good old-fashioned fun with high-priced cosmetic implications. Inside the magazine, Stewart has a spread entitled B-Movie Blowout, in which she shows you how to have a pin-perfect Halloween party inspired by the sort-of bad monster movies of days gone by.
Take a look at both covers below, and tell us who you’d sooner dress up like for Halloween.
There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all argument, and which cannot fail to keep man in everlasting ignorance. That principle is condemnation before investigation. ~ Edmund Spenser
That really does not look like her! You are right, Shann0...this is so up VC's alley...
