On here a time ago we got into a discussion about the Holy Spirit staying on earth through the tribulation and I never believed it....
well for the bible tells me so (plus saw it talked about on Hal Lindsey) 2 Theso 2:6 -8 5Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? 6And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. 8And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.
The Holy Spirit is God, and therefore omnipresent. My view of this passage is that the Holy Spirit stops restraining the evil, not that He is completely gone. Else how could anyone become a believer in the trib?
There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all argument, and which cannot fail to keep man in everlasting ignorance. That principle is condemnation before investigation. ~ Edmund Spenser

They are 3 different people...God, Jesus and Holy Spirit they are the Holy trinity and when Jesus leaves the earth he tells us that He will leave the Holy Spirit for us....tons will become a believer just after millions across the world disappear at the same time...The Holy Spirit is the only thing holding back the evil at this time....once He leave at the Rapture then evil go get to work.....that does not mean God will not be here and just so you think before Jesus the Holy Spirit was not on earth and there were believers.... the spirit does not make you believe it just helps move Gods will and to give us comfort

Folks, we're mixing apples and oranges here. The Holy Spirit IS omnipresent. BUT, it will go back to the way it was in the old testament. In the old testament believers weren't "indwelt" with the holy spirit. They had experiences with the Holy Spirit, were filled with Him and His power, but were not indwelt the way we are. When the church is rapture...the ONLY people the Holy Spirit is promised to indwell will be gone. This is the end of the church age as the focus goes back to Israel(who is NOT the church)...and the old testament way is reinstituted until the 2nd coming. So for 7 years...Holy Spirit will very much be present...but not indwelling.

Appreciate your insight on this. In my youth I was taught once the rapture occured no one could be saved. Don't remember the verses/reasoning they used to promote the teaching. I wonder if they thought that because the HS was removed no one could be quickened by HS to be saved.
