Hillary Clinton at Pro-Abortion Rally: “Fighting for Kids Will be the Mission of My Presidency”

Standing next to some of the top abortion activists in the country on Friday, Hillary Clinton claimed that she is a strong advocate for children and families.
Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards, EMILY’s List President Stephanie Schriock, and NARAL President Ilyse Hogue campaigned with the pro-abortion Democrat on Friday in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Breitbart reports.
Despite pushing a radical, pro-abortion platform, Clinton claimed that children have been a key focus of her career.
“I started my career all those years ago fighting for kids and families,” Clinton said. “That’s been the cause of my life. It will be the mission of my presidency. I will get up every single day in the White House saying, ‘What am I going to do to help every single person, and, especially, every child in this country have the chance to live up to his or her God-given potential?’”
In the same speech, Clinton also called the abortion activists at her side her “friends” and described them as “fearless and tireless advocates for women.”
“They organize, they get up everyday, trying to figure out what we’re going to do to make sure we protect further the rights of women and families in our country, and they have a lot of experience standing up to bullies,” she added.
But neither Clinton nor the pro-abortion groups have been advocates for the most vulnerable children of all – babies in the womb. Their work has resulted in the exact opposite – the destruction of millions of babies’ lives.
Planned Parenthood aborts more than 320,000 unborn babies each year, while NARAL constantly attacks pregnancy resource centers that offer women and families alternatives to abortion. The groups also fight against laws that require pregnant women to be fully informed of all their options before having an abortion and those that ban discriminatory abortions based on an unborn baby’s sex or a disability.
Clinton is with them on these issues. The three abortion advocacy groups are spending tens of millions of dollars to support her campaign for president. The Planned Parenthood abortion business just launched a $30 million get out the vote campaign for Hillary Clinton. The abortion company has supported the pro-abortion candidate at every turn this election. It is pulling out all the stops to ensure Clinton is elected so it can continue receiving half a billion dollars from the federal government in taxpayer funds.
Clinton not only promised to protect Planned Parenthood’s current taxpayer funding but also to potentially give it more through direct taxpayer funding of abortion. Clinton previously told abortion activists that she will work to help them achieve one of their top goals – repealing the Hyde Amendment and forcing taxpayers to fund abortions. If Clinton succeeds, the Guttmacher Institute estimates 33,000 more unborn babies will be killed in abortions every year with our tax dollars.
Dr. Grazie Pozo Christie, an advisory board member with The Catholic Association, told Breitbart that Americans should question why abortion activists are fighting so hard and spending so much to back Clinton.
“Today, she’s campaigning in Iowa with the most powerful players in the abortion lobby,” Christie said. “These organizations know that the way to advance a radical abortion agenda is by electing Hillary Clinton. But polling shows that the majority of Americans reject such an agenda and prefer restrictions on abortions and taxpayer funding for abortions.”
Taxpayer funding is not the only thing that concerns abortion activists. The next president could have the chance to nominate up to four U.S. Supreme Court justices and influence its decisions for years to come. Clinton promised to nominate justices who will uphold Roe v. Wade and abortion on demand up until birth. Republican candidate Donald Trump said he will appoint “pro-life justices” with a “conservative bent.”
