There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all argument, and which cannot fail to keep man in everlasting ignorance. That principle is condemnation before investigation. ~ Edmund Spenser
Well it seems to me like he really didn't do a lot of this research but rather just relied on Alexander Hislops bogus assertions about the Easter/ Ishtar thing, which I believe is not supported. Also, just because Easter happens to occur around the same time as the spring Equinox doesn't necessarily mean it's pagan. Sure there are some traditions which have been added to Easter that are thoroughly pagan, such as eggs and rabbits. I am not disputing that fact, however the Resurrection of our LORD and Savior is What Easter is about for me, and in actuality the word Easter is traceable etymologically through the German and Anglo Saxon languages. It means Resurrection.
The word Easter is only used in English and German, all other languages use the same word which is used for Passover, that alone is enough to debunk the claim that Easter comes from the word Ishtar for if it were associated with the name of a pagan goddess, then all languages would use it.
Passover and Easter are not the same. Passover is what was celebrated before the Lord Jesus resurrected. Now that He is Risen, we celebrate Easter. To celebrate Passover instead is like saying that His resurrection is meaningless.

He did say at the very end his church celebrates his Resurrection the the finished works of the cross. I think he was saying it should be easter now whether or not it was because it became paganized or already was, it shouldn't be passover. its finished. But my brain gets foggy don't laugh it will happen to you someday too.
