It's really all the little things that are the best part of life...snuggling with your pets, chatting with friends, enjoying a good meal. One of the things I've always loved to do is take my stale bread and crackers and feed the geese and ducks in a little pond that's near Walmart; I love it when they gather around me and each demands that I feed him next.
Well, that's one more little pleasure that's been stolen from us. There's now a big, ugly sign by the pond: Do not feed the geese and the ducks. Violators face a fine of $500.
What little joys have the rest of you had stolen from you?
I bet some grumpy killjoy government official saw you feeding those birds and noticed how much enjoyment you were getting from it and got jealous and then decided to nick that in the bud. Can't have anyone having any fun, joy or happiness, now can we.
Mine is similiar to yours. I enjoy feeding birds too. I have a bunch of bird feeders strung up all over my yard and I love watching the birds gathering at them. That is until the stupid squirrels and crows took over and eat up all the bird food and continue to chase my regular birds away.
Philippians 3:20-21 “But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.”

I have birds in my yard as well - two feeders, and I go through about 20 pounds of feed a week! At times there are 100 birds between them. on the porch roof, and on the electric line that goes from the house to the garage. I love watching them, but it's not the same as being surrounded by eager geese though. That pond is by an office complex, and I think a lot of people enjoyed sitting outside at lunchtime and sharing their food with the geese.
Isn't that just like Satan's helpers....trying to steal everyone's joy.
