Have any of you encountered any "Christians" who are huge fans (for lack of a better word) of false teachers, and get upset and/or angry when you say something detrimental against their pet heretics?
I have a friend who got upset because I criticized Joyce Meyers and Joel Osteen, and she wrote about it on my FB wall, asking, "So who DO you like?" Uh...how about anyone who sticks to the Bible 100% and doesn't make up their own false doctrines? (Sadly, there are very few of those left....)
How are you dealing with these people? (We're talking Christians - the die-hard Catholics are another story....)
John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

I replied with a long post, including a list of some of their heresies, and she didn't respond. She did, however, share one of those silly posts on her page, something about, "This is a special angel that God sent to grant you a blessing," or some such nonsense, and wrote "I receive that" under it.
I had thought she was a mature Christian, but I guess she's just another one who wants her ears tickled!

Wow, the blindness is astounding! I'm so sick and tired of these people who are defending the heretics - don't they read their Bibles? Worldview Weekend has had a lot of programs about false teachers lately, so there must be a lot of people who worship them. What astounds me is how anyone could see that these people take money from the poorest and most desperate, and think "god" is the one "blessing" them!
I posted a picture from Operation Christmas Child (Samaritan's Purse) on FB, with a comment. Someone jumped all over me; the picture and exchange follow:

ME Wow...kid living in a garbage dump. Yet "Christians" like Copeland, Hinn, Meyers, DuPlantis, Osteen are multi-millionaires, live in mansions, have private jets, fleets of cars..... Jesus must be proud of them....NOT.
· Christine K - Yeah because WOW God doesn't eed to be blessing people that give their lives to His ministry! SHAME ON GOD for blessing certain people and not others!! 3 hours ago · Like

ME - Oh really, Christine? WAKE UP!! Those people's "god" is the devil, and they get their money by preying on the poor, the elderly, the unemployed and the desperate. There are none so blind as those who will not see.... 3 hours ago · Like

ME - Hey Christine, how blessed are the REAL Christians, who are being persecuted, tortured, burned alive, crucified, and put to death because they're sold out to Jesus? Huh? Jesus didn't have a place to lay His head! Yet these wolves pervert the Gospel, spew heresies, speak of "blab it and grab it," and NEVER ONCE mention repentance. 2 hours ago · Edited · Like
ME - "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation." - Matt 23:14 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. ME - Oh yes, the favorite Scripture the heretics love to pull out so people will be tolerant of their sin (and stupidity), and always taken out of context. When you read it in context, it is referring to people who judge others for every little thing they do wrong, yet they refuse to see the planks in their own eye.
Regardng Matthew 7, it seems as if Jesus is negating what He said earlier in the chapter. In verses 15-23, He gives a clear warning to watch out for false prophets. In order to help us understand how to watch out for them, He tells us to look at the fruit in their lives. He points out that a bad tree cannot bear good fruit and vice versa. He even cautions us that not all who prophecy, cast out demons, and perform miracles will enter the kingdom of heaven. Wouldnt this be considered judging? No it is judging fruit, and that is entirely different.
Obviously, it takes a discerning heart to tell if someones fruit is good. As a new Christian, I was naïve enough to believe that if someone could talk the talk then they were a good, strong Christian. After walking with the Lord for over 35 years now, I know that is not always true.
For instance, the Pharisees and teachers of the law knew the Word very well. They followed it as closely as they possibly could. Yet Jesus said they were full of dead mens bones. (Matthew 23:27) Was Jesus judging them? No, He was judging their fruit, or the lack thereof.
In Acts 16:16-18, Paul and Silas were being followed by a slave girl who predicted the future. When Paul turned and commanded an evil spirit to come out of her, was he judging her? No, he was judging the fruit in her life. He was able to discern that while she did speak the truth about them, saying that they were servants of the Most High God, it was actually the spirit in her that was speaking, seeking attention for itself.
We find another example in Matthew 14:3-12 when John the Baptist spoke out and told Herod that it was wrong for him to have his brothers wife. Was John judging Herod when he spoke this? No, he was preaching the uncompromised truth of Gods Word. Obviously, it infuriated Herod because he had John arrested, and later consented to have him beheaded.
It is the same with us when we dare to stand firm on the Word;; we may also infuriate people. Unfortunately, there are many carnal Christians who want to be holy enough to make it to heaven, but they do not want to be holy enough where it causes a major disruption to their lifestyle. Speaking the uncompromised truth of Gods Word can bring conviction to those who do not want to be convicted. Their response is to lash out at us the messenger.
I find it interesting how in the last few days several people have jumped all over me for telling the truth and pointing out wolves in sheep's clothing - their "pet heretics." Well, I'm called to be a watchman, and I've done my job....if they refuse to hear the truth, their blood is on their own hands. I guess we're at the final separating of the sheep from the goats. 3 hours ago · Like

Sometimes arguing with them will get you nowhere fast. The door will be firmly shut in your face and then locked and the key thrown far away for good measure.
I should know as I had almost the very same conversation with my kids regarding Joyce Meyers. AND regarding Oprah Winfrey. Double
Popcorn had great advice...regarding some people (those who won't or don't want to listen to the truth) you should just give them some information to read (or listen to) and then leave it up to God to deal with their hearts (and minds and eyes and ears.)
Otherwise you'll just be preaching to the choir. AND you'll likely end up majorly stressed out with a huge headache to boot.

I had to stop pointing out the heretics when people weren't enquiring of their own will. If they aren't ready to hear it....then it just makes them mad and angry with you. I've had a few people enquire and still get mad...but most of the time if they ask my opinion...they usually are receptive. Sometimes it starts with a question the other way. I'll ask them "what do you think about ________? If they say something positive, i usually leave it. Sometimes they ask back and i'll give them an answer. The one that really makes me mad is rick warren. People fill their lives with empty religion because they think it is their "purpose".

I just had another person - one who is a friend IRL - unfriend and block me on FB because of negative things I posted about her pet pulpit pimps, Joel Osteen and Joyce Meyer. Funny thing about her is you'd have thought she'd know better - her elderly mother almost became homeless because she was ripped off by one of The Blasphemy Network crowd to the tune of over $50K! This friend had to sell almost all her own possessions and give up living in a house she loved so she could afford to rent a place where she could take her mother in to live with her.
I guess it just proves the saying, "There are none so blind as those who will not see."
What the update on your friend and her mom, Arlene?

I have no idea. She's not on FB - I don't know if she deleted her account, or if she's another one who blocked me because she doesn't want to hear the truth. Before she disappeared a few friends posted some good links for her to read and recommended some good teachers; I don't know if she read them, or if that offended her further.
I've reached a point where I'll tell someone the truth, but if they reject it, I just move on. We're down to the wire, and there's no time to waste on people who cling to their heresies and false doctrines, not when there are people who are looking for the truth. (That's essentially what I told a Catholic on FB yesterday.)
I wonder what Joyce Meyer and the other pulpit pimps are going to say to their followers after the rapture - maybe "Send me your seed offering of $666 and the lord will prosper you and make sure you have all the health and wealth you could ever want!"

You know, the more I see of so-called Christians, the more apparent it is that truth has fallen by the wayside.
There's a man named Carl Sanders, who for over 20 years has had a ministry in which he travels around the country, telling people about the Mark of the Beast, and how he worked on it until he got saved and realized what it is. I've met the man; in fact, I had him and his late wife to my home for dinner.
Several years ago it came out that the man is a fraud; he never worked for the companies he claimed to, and doesn't have the degrees he says he does. Supposedly he repented....
Well, on another End Times site - one from which I get updates on FB - they were all excited because apparently Carl is at it again - he's back to his "ministry," making speeches and claiming to be something he's not, and was going to be on their radio program.
I made the site aware that the man has admitted he lied, including sending documentation, and they got all over me! They said I should call him on their show and ask him the truth....like he's going to admit he's a phony after he "repented" and went back to lying!
They "sanitized" their FB - removing my posts and those who responded to the people who backed me, preferring to further a lie.
You know, we don't get nearly as many "likes" on the Harpazo FB page as they do, and this forum may not get as many readers as theirs, but on thing about The Harpazo Forum - we stand for the TRUTH, and if something is found out to be false, it will be removed.
It's sad that other "Christian" sites prefer sensationalism and generating big numbers to pleasing God.
