Totally disgusting! And it takes a LOT more than 3,000 calories a day to maintain that broad a beam, as basal metabolism alone would burn off more calories a day on a butt that size; it takes about 10 calories per pound to maintain weight for a body at rest.

The world's largest hips have been officially measured, and plus-size model Mikel Ruffinelli earned the title from the World Record Academy with her staggering numbers. The world's largest hips measure a whopping eight feet in circumference. Here's a video of Ruffinelli and the world's largest hips in action.
Ruffinelli is a mother of four (those hips must've helped) and having the world's largest hips doesn't mean she has the world's easiest life. Ruffinelli told the Daily Mail she has trouble walking through doorways and taking showers because of her girth and has to drive a truck because a car just can't accommodate the world's largest hips. She has steel-reinforced furniture at home, and sleeps on a seven-foot-wide bed. When her and her husband Reggie Brooks manage to sleep at all, that is.
"My husband finds my shape sexy and we have an amazing time in bed -- there's no position we can't do," she told the newspaper. "He tells me I'm beautiful every day. Men don't fancy skinny girls, they like an hourglass figure."
The two have been married for 10 years, and the woman with the world's largest hips has no incentive to lose weight or change her shape since she feels happy and her hubby Reggie is obviously down for the pounds.
"I like to tell people all the time, 'I have a license to work with heavy equipment,'" said Brooks, describing their relationship to Barcroft TV. "She had a sweet disposition about her that really attracted me to her."
Ruffinelli keeps the world's largest hips on a modest 5-foot-4-inch frame, and has a 40-inch waist despite weighing more than 400 pounds. She weighed a relatively slim 140 pounds during her teenage years, but started putting on the weight after her first pregnancy when she was 22 years old.
"I put it down to my pregnancies," she said. "I don't see why else the weight would go to my hips, although, I do eat lots."
Ruffinelli admits it takes about 3,000 calories a day to maintain the world's largest hips, and lists English breakfasts, Mexican food and chips as her favorite foods. Despite her size, Ruffinelli said having the world's largest hips has caused her no health problems, and until they do she won't be slimming down anytime soon. Even the jeers of boorish passersby on the street don't dampen her spirit or her confidence, especially if Reggie is around.
"When men disrespect her on the street in front of me it doesn't go down well. I have to show them who's boss," said Brooks.
