Deep State Celebrates Tucker Carlson Departure from Fox with Anonymous Leaks
JORDAN DIXON-HAMILTON 25 Apr 2023 Senior ranking officials within President Joe Biden’s Department of Defense who spoke on condition of anonymity were reportedly filled with “delight and outright glee” at Tucker Carlson’s departure from Fox News, according to Politico. Carlson’s segments on Tucker Carlson Tonight frequently criticized the upper ranks of the U.S. military for being “woke.” “What if the woke brain virus began to infect the last remaining meritocracy in this country, the bedrock guarantee of our safety and our freedom? That’s the U.S. military. If that happened, it would be a legitimate disaster,” Carlson said in one program. As Politico reported: Carlson’s criticism of Biden-era personnel policies appealed to many of the rank-and-file, which has a large bloc of conservative members. But at the upper levels of the Defense Department, news of Carlson’s firing from Fox News on Monday was met with delight and outright glee in some corners. “We’re a better country without him bagging on our military every night in front of hundreds of thousands of people,” one senior Defense Department official told the outlet. “Good riddance,” a second official told Politico. Carlson was not surprised by the senior DOD officials, telling Politico, “Ha! I’m sure.” Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance (R) accused the officials who spoke with Politico of being cowards for “hiding behind anonymity.” “Every ‘senior Pentagon official’ who commented on this story while hiding behind anonymity is a coward,” Vance tweeted. “Call me old fashioned, but senior military officials should maintain neutrality about hot button political topics. And they certainly shouldn’t run to one media outlet to gossip—anonymously—about another.” Additional video at link

Tucker Carlson Had More Views Wednesday Than All Cable News Shows For The Entire Day Combined
David HawkinsApril 28, 2023 - 4:02 pm Tucker Carlson had more views on his first Twitter monologue on Wednesday than all cable news shows for the entire day combined. Combined. On Twitter Tucker had 72.7 million views. All of the cable news shows combined had 53.1 million views. The numbers don’t lie so the question turns to Rupert Murdoch’s mental state. Multiple media reports claim he is slipping and losing his touch. But while Rupert makes an uncharacteristic blunder, his competition is going after Tucker. Elon Musk, who is starting to pay creators at Twitter responded to the amazing sweep by Tucker with: “Wow.” Will Musk join Newsmax and OANN in the race to sign Tucker? The price will be high. OANN offered Tucker $25 million and Newsmax is reportedly offering Tucker the ability to run the entire network. TMZ is reporting that Newsmax is making a run at the former top-rated cable TV host. Newsmax wants Tucker to do a primetime show but also wants Tucker to program the entire network’s schedule. According to TMZ: “Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … the news channel is doing everything it can to sweeten the deal for Tucker to come on board — including floating the idea of letting him program the whole channel, not just his own show. “That would be a pretty enticing deal point … in addition to having his own primetime show, Tucker would have a say over what shows lead into and out of his show, which can be key in achieving bigger TV ratings.” OANN is on record with its offer to Tucker for $25 million per year. Fox News was paying him $20 million per year. But according to OANN host Dan Ball, Tucker snubbed the network. He said: “Mr. Herring did make a substantial offer, which would be several million more than Fox paid, to my chagrin cause I don’t make that, but anyway, it’s Tucker. “This isn’t about me. “So, the offer’s on the table. “We know Tucker’s in Florida vacationing with the family — wish him the best, hanging out. “But, yeah — if he’d like to entertain the offer, our founder and boss man would love to have a chat with him. “So, nothing’s in the works, nothing’s happening but the offer has been extended. “I don’t think he’s even responded. “It would be great if we could get Tucker! I might give him around $25 million,” OAN CEO and founder Robert Herring said earlier. “And he would be well worth that!” link

Megyn Kelly: ‘Tucker Carlson Hasn’t Actually Been Fired’ from Fox News
admin April 28, 2023 - 12:48 pm Megyn Kelly has dropped a bombshell on her podcast show by claiming that Tucker Carlson wasn’t fired from Fox News after all. Inside sources at Fox News have leaked rumors that Carlson is still beholden to a contract, despite being dropped from the network on Monday. The contact would reportedly prevent him from undertaking any new media ventures until after the 2024 presidential election. Kelly, a former Fox News anchor who now hosts her own podcast on Sirius XM, reported on information allegedly coming out of the collapsing “conservative” media company. She says sources are indicating that Carlson has yet to reach terms of a complete exit from his contract. “I want to, I think, break some news for you,” Kelly began on her show. “Tucker Carlson hasn’t actually been fired. He’s still an employee of the Fox News Channel. “What happened was Suzanne Scott called him she’s the CEO on Monday morning and said he was not going to be allowed to do any more shows, and that he had been kicked out of his company email.” “And now they’re going to have to negotiate an exit. Some reporting to me, suggests that, she said it’s going to be an amicable parting. Right, isn’t it?” she continued. “I’m completely catching Tucker, off guard. But Tucker is not fired. “That’s my information, that he still needs to negotiate the exit. “And that right now he’s not free to launch a podcast or a digital show or negotiate with other employers at all. “Because he’s still under contract,” she suggested for a second time. WATCH: At this point for Carlson, the sky is the limit for the top cable news anchor. Carlson regularly drew over three million nightly viewers and crushed the competition at CNN and MSNBC. One America News Network (OANN) has already offered Carlson a $25 million-per-year deal, which is more that his $20M contract at Fox. However, as Slay News reported, Carlson has yet to even respond to the offer. Meanwhile, his own viral Twitter video likely proves he has enough name-brand recognition and following to strike out on his own. In truly epic fashion, Carlson released a video – the first public response offered since the shocking news of his Fox cancellation – which garnered tens of millions of views almost instantly. People want to hear what Tucker Carlson has to say. And by extension, they will no doubt pay for it. Carlson could branch out on his own and follow in the steps of Megyn Kelly, for example. He could also field offers from other conservative media outlets. However, the possibility of being constrained by a corporate media network would no doubt loom over him. Nevertheless, if Carlson is tied to his contract with Fox, the network would likely have an obligation to honor it, meaning he would still get his huge salary until it expires. Kelly had a lot more to say on her show as she addressed speculations about why Fox would let their top host go. She also addressed the troubles with filling his massive shoes. “It’ll be interesting to see what the ratings were for the APM hour last night, Brian Kilmeade hosted it. It’s a rotating cast for now,” Kelly noted on her podcast. “And we’ll see what they decide to do their stuff, Brian’s fault. I mean, here’s Brian, FYI, here. “Here he is, in a moment where he is kind of acknowledging what happened. I’ll just play the 14 seconds.” “Hi, everybody, and welcome to Fox News tonight. I am Brian Kilmeade,” the fill-in host can be heard saying. “As you probably have heard, Fox News and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. “I wish Tucker the best. I’m great friends with Tucker, and always will be.” link

REPORT: Newsmax Offers Tucker Carlson Colossal Deal
By Jim Hoft Apr. 29, 2023 11:00 am On Monday FOX News announced that they had parted ways with their top-rated prime-time host Tucker Carlson. This came as a shock to many of his devoted fans in the populist movement. By Monday evening Tucker Carlson already had at least one offer. One America News founder and CEO Robert Herring extended an invitation to Tucker Carlson to meet and negotiate a deal to become part of the OAN team. On Saturday TMZ reported that Newsmax is courting the top-rated cable news host. According to TMZ, Newsmax is even sweetening the deal and offering him control over the entire Newsmax lineup. Read: Why Central Banks Are Buying All The Gold They Can TMZ reported: Tucker Carlson is out at Fox News, and now another conservative news outlet, Newsmax, wants him to be more than just the face of the network, and it’s putting on a full-court press to land him. Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … the news channel is doing everything it can to sweeten the deal for Tucker to come on board — including floating the idea of letting him program the whole channel, not just his own show. That would be a pretty enticing deal point … in addition to having his own primetime show, Tucker would have a say over what shows lead into and out of his show, which can be key in achieving bigger TV ratings. link

The Real Reason Tucker Was Cut Is Far More Sinister Than Anybody Suspects: WJ Founder
By Michael Austin April 29, 2023 at 8:26am When it comes to conservative politics, there are few bigger players than Floyd Brown. From working in radio to advising various presidential campaigns and even founding Citizens United and this very outlet, The Western Journal, he’s done it all. So, when a man of Brown’s stature gives his opinion, its worth taking the time to heed his words. In light of that fact, according to Brown, Tucker Carlson’s recent ousting from Fox News is far more sinister than anyone realizes. Everyone and their brother has had a different theory on why Fox News chose to part ways with far and away the most culturally transformative figure to ever appear on the network. Some think it had to do with the recently settled Dominion lawsuit. Others say it was because of a recent lawsuit filed against Carlson by a former employee. According to Brown, however, the reason was something else entirely; in his view, it was an act of spiritual warfare. “There’s been a lot of speculation as to why he was let go and I don’t think anybody has the full story yet,” Brown said during a recent appearance on Newsmax. “The part I find most interesting is the speculation we saw in Vanity Fair that he may have been let go because he was contrasting the current political environment as a spiritual battle or a spiritual warfare.” The Vanity Fair report, published on Tuesday, reported that the ousting may have been prompted by a recent speech Carlson gave at the Heritage Foundation’s 50th Anniversary gala on April 21. son explained that American politics has devolved from a simple discussion over policy disagreements into an outright battle over the spiritual forces of good and evil, rightly arguing that the mutilation of children under the guise of “transgender rights” should be described as the latter. The now former-Fox Host even went as far as to urge his fellow citizens to pray, saying “I have concluded it might be worth taking just 10 minutes out of your busy schedule to say a prayer for the future.” “He had the gall to say the other side was evil, whether you look at transgenderism or he even had the — I couldn’t believe it — in his Heritage speech he called abortion child sacrifice,” Brown said. Now, the Vanity Fair report made a point to call out Carlson’s plea for prayer as the reason for his ousting, with one source noting that such talk “freaks” out Fox Corporation chair Rupert Murdoch. No one in particular, however, has focused on the fact that Carlson actually had the guts to call a spade a spade by calling abortion child sacrifice. We know that this world is fundamentally a spiritual battleground and that humanity is caught up in spiritual struggles. As it reads in Ephesians 6:12, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forcesof evil in the heavenly realms.” At a time when women are encouraged to cheer on the very murder of their unborn children, and young people are celebrated for mutilating their genitals, its hard not to see the Enemy at work in every corner of our society. Spiritual evil has infected the very roots of our culture and is twisting this nation’s people’s minds into believing that truly horrific and evil things are true and beautiful. When the Enemy has such an iron grip over the hearts of so many people, there’s no doubt he wants to ensure that no one here’s the truth. And, before his ousting from Fox, there was perhaps no more prominent truth teller in the country than Tucker Carlson himself. Thankfully, no matter what the evil spiritual forces in our world are up to, there is nothing they can do in the face of the amazing grace of Jesus Christ. And if I had to guess, Christ isn’t quite done using Tucker Carlson to spread goodness and truth to the souls of this nation. link

Fox News Host Makes Things Worse for Network with What He Said About Tucker Carlson's Ouster
By Bryan Chai May 1, 2023 at 3:09pm However it is that you may feel about former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, you can’t deny that the man wasn’t willing to go against the establishment grain. There’s a reason even his most ardent critics have had to give him credit in the past. That brash sense of saying what’s right, even if it may not perfectly align with your best corporate or political interests, is something that Carlson brought with him to television every night. Of course, even Carlson would occasionally toe the company line here and there, but the man is still a far more independent voice than anything you’ll find throughout the rest of the establishment media landscape. That unique ability to break from the establishment is something the airwaves and Fox News are both sorely missing, as evinced by the latter’s crashing ratings. Yet, despite all of the tangible proof that Carlson’s departure has been bad for the network, Fox News reporter Howard Kurtz thinks that Carlson’s ouster will ultimately lead to a “worthwhile outcome.” Kurtz, speaking on Sunday’s edition of “MediaBuzz,” explained that the industry-shaking departures of Carlson and longtime CNN host Don Lemon could mean sterner “limits” meant to “rein in” on-air pundits. “Now, the big picture raised by the dismissals at Fox and CNN is whether we are entering a new era in which some limits are imposed on what even the most popular hosts can say,” Kurtz said. Translation: Carlson got his just desserts! Silence the dissenters! Kurtz continued: “Management at all the networks may be more likely to rein in their top talent and insist on fact checking, rather than risk embarrassing or lawsuits for the airing of false information. That, if it comes to pass, might just be a worthwhile outcome.” Translation: Better to say nothing than risk saying anything! Seriously, Kurtz’s shameless bootlicking is embarrassing here. First, quickly, lumping Lemon and Carlson together is absurd, and Kurtz immediately loses some credibility points there. The circumstances of the firings may be similar, but the context of the firings (not to mention that Lemon seems like a jerk and Carlson does not) needs to be pointed out if you’re going to put those two together. Second, what, exactly, is Kurtz advocating for here? “This has been the evening news brought to you by the RNC and Big Pharma”? The point of journalism is to be a thorn in the side of the governmental elites, to call out corruption and report on everything the feds don’t want you to know about. That concept has obviously been lost in recent years, rather badly, but to hear an establishment media talking head now say the quiet part out loud is genuinely jarring and a bad sign of the future of broadcast journalism. If Fox News is insistent on being lockstep with its establishment brethren, those cratering ratings may yet still find another depth to stoop to. link

Marjorie Taylor Greene Tells Fox News To ‘Do The Right Thing And Let Tucker Out of His Contract’
David Hawkins May 1, 2023 - 3:32 pm Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) put Fox News boss Rupert Murdoch on notice during a recent interview where she asked Fox News to release Tucker Carlson from his contract. Greene said: “There has been a huge backlash against Fox News. Pretty much everyone I know has canceled their Fox News app. They’ve taken it off their phone. They’ve canceled their Fox Nation subscription and they’ve said they’re walking away from Fox News. “And I don’t blame those Americans one single bit. Tucker Carlson on his show, Tucker Carlson Tonight and on his show on Fox Nation, has been covering the news stories that Americans desperately want to hear. “Because we don’t hear them largely from the left-biased mainstream media in this country. “And this is Tucker Carlson, he is someone that will come back around. “But Fox News needs to do the right thing and work with Tucker Carlson and not keep his mouth shut with duct tape. “They need to let him go and let him out of his contract. “So that he can do his show and go on to bigger and better things. “And we look forward to seeing him come back,” she said. Carlson hired LA-based entertainment lawyer Bryan Freedman to handle his exit negotiations with Fox News. He earns over $20 million a year. His contract runs through 2024. Fox News’ competitors have already made Tucker offers. Rupert Murdoch will not want Tucker beating him every night from Newsmax or on social media so it could get ugly. link

Rupert Murdoch Held Secret Talk with Zelensky before Firing Tucker Carlson
David Hawkins May 1, 2023 - 10:17 am Fox News Executive Chairman Rupert Murdoch held a secret call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky shortly before he made the shocking decision to fire star anchor Tucker Carlson, according to a new report. Carlson is the most outspoken critic of the war in American corporate media. The troubling report comes from veteran journalists at Semafor. The Ukrainian president also had a conversation with Lachlan Murdoch, Rupert’s heir apparent, on March 15. That conversation was already confirmed by Zelensky. According to Semafor, “Senior Ukrainian officials had made their objections to Carlson’s coverage known to Fox executives, but Zelensky did not raise it on the calls with the Murdochs, according to one person familiar with the details of the calls. “The Murdochs have not revealed which of Carlson’s many provocations triggered his firing, and there’s no particular suggestion that Zelensky — whom Carlson had called a ‘dictator’ — delivered the final blow. “But Carlson’s firing will immediately relieve pressure on key Capitol Hill Ukraine supporters whom Carlson had criticized on air — and sometimes pressed behind the scenes to change their positions on the war.” Liberal journalist Glenn Greenwald brought up an earlier report in The Week. Greenwald, a frequent guest on Carlson’s old show, said: “The Ukrainian Government issued an official blacklist of Americans, Brazilians, and others it accused of being Kremlin assets due to our opposition to the US proxy war – including Tulsi Gabbard, Tucker, Lula da Silva, Rand Paul, me, and John Mearsheimer.” In July 2022, The Week reported: Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation announced Monday that it had compiled a list of American citizens who have been “promoting Russian propaganda.” The center, which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky created in 2021, named Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii), journalist Glenn Greenwald, retired U.S. Army Colonel Douglas MacGregor, academic John Mearsheimer, and military historian Edward Luttwak. Gabbard and Greenwald have endorsed the theory — which Russia promotes and Ukraine denies — that there are dozens of U.S.-funded biolabs in Ukraine. In the early days of the invasion, MacGregor told Fox News that Zelensky was a “puppet” and was “putting huge numbers of his own population at unnecessary risk” by refusing to cave to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s demands. link

FOX News Continues to Hemorrhage Viewers Following Tucker’s Removal from Lineup
By Jim Hoft May. 2, 2023 7:15 pm FOX News continued to lose viewers on Monday, a week after they announced they were removing Tucker Carlson from their lineup. FOX News has absolutely FLATLINED after firing their top-rated host Tucker Carlson! By Wednesday of last week, FOX News had lost NEARLY HALF of their audience at Tucker’s 8 PM time slot. Tucker was averaging 3.2 million viewers a night. On Tuesday FOX News had only 1.7 million viewers at 8 PM. And by Friday FOX News audience sunk to 1.33 million viewers at 8 PM down from 3 million just one week ago. On Monday, one week after Tucker’s removal, FOX News saw 1.55 million viewers at the 8 PM slot. The audience is not coming back. Megyn Kelly Lands Knockout Blow On Fox News: “Not even Bud Lite lost this much of its customer base”
David Hawkins May 3, 2023 - 7:32 pm Ex-Fox News star warned Rupert Murdoch about the future of Fox News after the ratings tanked after he fired star host Tucker Carlson. Kelly thinks the decision to part ways is backfiring like Bud Light’s disastrous marketing stunt. Ex-CNN media critic Brian Stelter broke down the bad news for Rupert Murdoch and Fox News: “Tuesday’s ratings showcase the new normal for Fox without Tucker: 5pm: 2.72 million viewers. 6pm: 1.89 mil. 7pm: 2.04 mil. 8pm: 1.48 mil. 9pm: 1.91 mil. 10pm: 1.67 mil. Tucker averaged 3 mil at 8pm. So that hour has been cut in half. And the later hours have lost at least a quarter.” Megyn Kelly said: “Bloodbath. Not even Bud Lite (which is currently giving away its beer in an effort to get ppl to pls pls drink it) lost this much of its customer base.” How bad is it for Fox News? One week after the shocking removal of star anchor Tucker Carlson, Fox News lost the primetime ratings battle to MSNBC. MSNBC beat Fox News in total primetime viewers and with the advertiser-coveted 25-54 age demographic. Fox News brought in 1.598 million total viewers and 164,000 demo viewers Monday during primetime. But MSNBC had 1.693 million total viewers and 176,000 demo viewers. CNN was in third place with 481,000 total viewers and 109,000 demo viewers. The Rachel Maddow show led prime time with 2.2 million total viewers. The MSNBC show was the third highest-rated show for the day. Fox News’s The Five and Jesse Watters Tonight beat Maddow but both shows run earlier in the day. Primetime: CNN: 481,000 Fox News: 1.598 million MSNBC: 1.693 million Slay the latest News for free! Bongino: Tucker Carlson Story Takes Interesting Turn - 'Somebody's Going to Have to Explain What's Going On'
By Lorri Wickenhauser May 2, 2023 at 2:50pm A lot of people have a lot of questions about Tucker Carlson’s status at Fox News. One of the people at the head of that long line is conservative podcaster Dan Bongino, a former weekend Fox host who split from the network just days before the wildly popular “Tucker Carlson Tonight” show abruptly went dark. Bongino discussed the issue on “The Dan Bongino Show” Tuesday on Rumble. rumble.com/v2lmte6-an-interesting-turn-in-the-tucker-story-ep.-2002-05022023.htmlHe began by talking about the latest development in the story, in which far-left “watchdog” site Media Matters for America shared a video Monday that purported to show Carlson bad-mouthing his network, or rather, the network’s subscription-supported video streaming site, Fox Nation. Liberal news outlets seemed to treat the “leaked” video as a possible, or even likely reason that “Tucker Carlson Tonight” was taken off the air. But conservatives largely agreed Carlson had merely spoken the truth on the “behind the scenes” clip. Bongino said a big question in his mind is who leaked the video — and why. “So this video leaked yesterday, and everybody assumed it was leaked by Fox,” he said. “I’m not sure that’s the case. I don’t know who leaked this video.” “I don’t understand why they would leak that. … What would be their motive to leak it? Because Fox Nation did have issues, no doubt about it. We were on Fox Nation. … We had some issues there, too. “So, they weren’t catastrophic, but it doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense.” Whoever leaked the video, Bongino said, “It adds an interesting layer to the Tucker/Fox News story.” But the podcast host said he felt the broader issue is that “Someone’s going to have to explain, from Fox, what’s going on with the Tucker Carlson case. “It’s getting weird now. Is he out of a job there? Does he not have a job there? Everybody thinks he was fired. [But] Megyn Kelly reported that he’s not fired. “So he’s not fired? Why is he off the air? Was there a cause? Somebody’s going to have to explain what’s going on.” Bongino explained that he is familiar with the “entities” who run Fox. He’s also “very friendly” with Carlson, who Bongino described as “a unique, kind of unparalleled talent in the business.” “But,” he said again, “somebody’s going to have to explain what’s going on, because now it’s getting weird.” One of the strangest aspects of the story, Bongino said, is that Fox News is suffering horribly in the ratings as a result of its actions against Carlson. It’s not just a “lose-lose” situation, he said. “It’s a lose-really, really lose scenario — Like, everybody’s not only getting kneecapped, their legs are getting sawed off.” “The ratings situation last week was an absolute bloodbath,” he said. “It was an apocalyptic massacre.” He played a clip of former Fox host Megyn Kelly reviewing Fox’s Thursday-night ratings for Carlson’s time slot. “These numbers are basement, toilet numbers, however you want to look at it,” Kelly said in the clip. To say it’s not going well for Fox News at 8 p.m. “is the understatement of the year,” Kelly said. Bongino presented Kelly’s analysis as evidence that Fox needs to mend fences with Carlson. “This is why I think both parties are going to have to come to some kind of rapprochement sometime soon,” he said. “Because, it’s not benefitting Tucker or the movement, not having him on the air. We need his voice. That’s clear as day. “But it’s not benefitting Fox, either.” “So I’m not sure how this ends,” Bongino concluded the segment. But, he added, “It’s an important story.” link

Tucker Carlson Gets Standing Ovation In First Public Appearance Since Leaving Fox News
David Hawkins May 7, 2023 - 3:32 pm Ex-Fox News star Tucker Carlson got a standing ovation in his first public appearance at a charity event in Alabama. Carlson spoke to the folks at Rainbow Omega, a faith-based nonprofit that supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Tucker said: “I think I’m probably the first unemployed person ever invited to speak. It’s funny, I never give speeches because I’m working. And when I accepted this speech, I don’t know six months ago or something, I didn’t realize how much free time I would have. One never knows, does one? “I do love Alabama. But the second and maybe primary reason I wanted to come to this especially is because I, really in a sincere way, support what (Rainbow Omega does). Which is helping people, not in an abstract way but an actual way.” About Rainbow Omega: Rainbow Omega’s name means “hope in the end” and is derived from the Biblical references to the rainbow (which stands for hope) and Omega (the last letter of the Greek alphabet). The vision of the founders was to provide a sheltered community for adults with developmental disabilities and to provide parents an answer to the question “What will happen to my child when I can no longer provide care in my home?” One of our parents put it best when she said, “Rainbow Omega is an answer to a prayer that I didn’t know how to pray.” Rainbow Omega, Inc was incorporated in 1991 and the first two group homes opened in 1995 to serve 16 residents. Since that time, our operations have grown exponentially. Today, we have 88 individuals and an operational budget of more than $10 million. Mission: To glorify God by ensuring that adults with developmental disabilities have a permanent and safe home where their abilities and potentials are respected and nurtured in a Christian environment. Vision: Rainbow Omega will be a non-institutional environment that instills both a family and a community atmosphere where residents experience quality standards of care while enabling them to grow spiritually and to have productive, joy-filled and independent lives. Values: We believe in the sanctity, dignity and worth of each person. We are committed to the well-being of our residents regardless of their disability. We respect and support the families of our residents. We diligently steward the generous gifts provided by our benefactors. We are guided by and uphold the highest principles in all we do. link

The Real Reason Why Tucker Carlson Was Fired Has Been Revealed: Report
By Jack Davis May 16, 2023 at 8:16am A new report claims that the settlement between Fox News and Dominion Voting Systems led to the Fox News decision to pull Tucker Carlson off the air. Dominion had sued Fox News over its coverage of claims about Dominion’s equipment that were advanced in the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election. On Tuesday, April 18, just as the jury trial of the lawsuit was expected to begin, a $787.5 million settlement was announced. Less than a week later, on Monday, April 24, as he was preparing for his show that night, Carlson was informed his show had been canceled. Due to the timing, initial speculation linked the two events. According to a report in Variety, dumping Carlson was an unwritten promise from Fox News to Dominion. Citing “multiple sources with knowledge of the conversation,” Variety reporter Tatiana Siegel wrote that Carlson learned the reason his show was canceled on April 26 during a conversation with a Fox News board member. The board member, who was not named, informed Carlson that booting him was a condition of the settlement but was not put down in writing as part of the official court documents. The Variety report claimed that Dominion told Fox that if it refused to get rid of Carlson, the settlement was off and Fox News could take its chances in a jury trial. The report indicated Fox News wanted to avoid going to trial to avoid what the report called “more embarrassing details about the operation of Fox News and fallout from its 2020 president election coverage.” As Carlson understood the situation, the report said, Dominion wanted to inflict long-term damage on Fox News, and hoped that by blacking out the network’s top-rated show, the network would lose viewers. “That condition was intended to hurt Fox, and Tucker is just collateral damage. Dominion wanted to punish Fox, and it’s working,” Siegel wrote, citing what she called “a source familiar with the matter.” Dominion and Fox Corp. dispute the report’s contention. “As the Fox principals who negotiated the settlement well know, Dominion made no demands about Tucker Carlson’s employment orally or in writing. Any claims otherwise are categorically false and a thinly veiled effort to further damage Dominion. Fox should take every effort to stop these lies immediately,” Dominion said in a statement. Axios has also reported that a member of Fox’s board told Carlson the Dominion settlement was the reason he went off the air. Siegel’s report speculated Fox could be further damaged if it fights Carlson’s plans to launch his own show on Twitter, as he has said he will. The report said quoted one of its sources saying Carlson would sue or “watch the network implode attempting to challenge free speech.” Carlson’s attorneys have already accused Fox of leaking unbroadcast footage with the aim of making Carlson look bad, which they say frees Carlson from any restraints from his contract with Fox. Even though Fox is still paying Carlson, they argue, Carlson is free to go out on his own. Siegel’s report speculated that if Fox goes to court against Carlson, there could be more text messages from its hosts that could embarrass the network. The report also suggested that some Fox anchors have directly or indirectly told Carlson they might follow him to Twitter when their Fox News contracts end. With neither Fox News nor Carlson going on the record about the reasons why Carlson was shipped into media limbo, multiple other theories have been advanced. A report in The New York Times claimed that some private musings from Carlson about violence and the divide shaping modern America were the key to his being fired by Fox News. According to a Vanity Fair report, Carlson himself has said he thinks his show was killed and he was fired because the Murdoch family plans to sell Fox News. The report cited sources it did not name. Fox News founder Rupert Murdoch has made his son, Lachlan, the CEO of Fox Corp., the parent of Fox News. Another Vanity Fair report by Gabriel Sherman claimed Rupert Murdoch wanted Carlson gone due to the former host’s public embrace of religious views that paralleled those Ann Lesley Smith, who was formerly engaged to Murdoch. link

Tucker Carlson Ready To Bring Down Fox News By Leaking ‘Damaging Secrets’ Amid Contract Stalemate
David Hawkins May 23, 2023 - 6:32 pm Tucker Carlson and his team have reached their limit with Fox News as exit negotiations have stalled and are ramping up a pressure campaign against the network to get Rupert Murdoch to release him from a noncompete clause. The Daily Beast broke the story and said if Fox News continues to play hardball, Tucker and his team are prepared to bring the pain because they know where the ‘bodies are buried.’ There has been a series of devastating leaks to hit Fox News recently and the Daily Beast claims Tucker’s team is behind them and they are promising more if Fox News does not come to their senses. “The hope is that Fox comes to their senses and realizes they can’t stop Tucker from speaking and doing his thing and if not that’s unfortunate and there would be some pain inflicted,” the report said. According to The Daily Beast: “A steady stream of leaks about Fox News over the past week, designed to embarrass the network or further undermine its standing with conservative viewers, have come after negotiations between Carlson’s lawyers and Fox have stalled out. “According to people familiar with the situation, Carlson and his team’s deep industrial knowledge of the network means they are sitting on a treasure trove of potentially damaging Fox secrets, including revelations about extramarital affairs and workplace misconduct. Mary Margaret Olohan, Senior Reporter for the Daily Signal, reported on some embarrassing leaked internal Fox News documents this week. That publication is reportedly close to Tucker. Olohan wrote on social media: “I obtained Fox’s policies on gender transition for employees. Fox employees are allowed to use bathrooms that align with their gender identity, permitted to dress in alignment with their preferred gender, and must also be addressed by their preferred name and pronouns. “Fox News devotes hours of programming to attacking ‘woke companies,’ but ironically Fox is as woke as the rest of them,” a former Fox News employee told me, emphasizing that Fox viewers would be “astonished to find out what the company is like.” “When Dylan Mulvaney was first gaining prominence, Tucker Carlson Tonight producers had to fight Fox to refer to Mulvany with male pronouns in the show’s chyrons, I’m told.” She spoke to other unhappy employees. “They want you to think it’s this place that supports traditionally conservative values,” a former producer for “Tucker Carlson Tonight” said. “But in reality, they’re pushing this nonsense behind the scenes.” According to her report at The Daily Signal: “A source who still works at Fox News told The Daily Signal that after Carlson’s show was canceled in April, producers for the new 8 p.m. “Fox News Tonight” program were told not to bash Mulvaney. “That directive came from high-level executives, the source said. Under the category “Gender Transition,” Fox’s employee handbook promises that the company is dedicated to “expanding and strengthening” efforts to “sustain a more inclusive work environment.” “The Fox employee handbook is posted on Workday, where employees can see company guidelines or policies, a former employee told The Daily Signal. “Employees who are transitioning their gender have the right to be open about their transition if they so choose, and to work in an environment free of harassment, discrimination, or retaliation, and without fear of consequences or transphobia for living openly,” the policy says.” link
