I don't know if it has any bearing on the events of Ezekiel 38, but it's fun to contemplate.
First the news story:
The North Korean News Agency reported on the ceremony held in honor of Kim Jong-un in the Russian town of Hassan, near the border between the countries, where the North Korean leader stopped on his way to a meeting with President Vladimir Putin and was received by the Minister of Natural Resources, Alexander Kozlov. After the ceremony, Kim's train continued, but the next destination was not announced.
According to the report, Kim noted that he was happy to visit Russia again after being there in 2019, and that he chose Russia for his first visit abroad since the corona crisis because of "our understanding of the strategic importance of North Korea-Russia relations."
OK, here's what I find interesting: The ancient name for Korea is Goguryeo. Coincidence?

Interesting find! Well, several prophecy teachers lately have been talking about the "Kings of the East" and how they fit into Bible prophecy. I guess it's possible that North Korea is involved - we'll have to wait and see!

OK, I did some more research.
Goguryeo (Koguryo) was a kingdom which ruled northern Korea during the Three Kingdoms period from the 1st century BC to 7th century AD.
The Book of Ezekiel was likely written between 593 and 565 B.C. during the Babylonian captivity of the Jews.
So, although I wouldn't 100% rule it out, North Korea most likely isn't the Gog of the Bible.
