Strong 6.2 Magnitude Earthquake rattles Eastern Japan No tsunami warning has been issued after a 6.2-magnitude earthquake jolted eastern Japan on Monday, the Japan Meteorological Agency says. The USGS says the earthquake was a magnitude 5.7 and reports it was followed by two smaller earthquakes. The earthquake shook buildings in Tokyo, but there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. There also were no reports of irregularities at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant in northeastern Japan. The quake was centered in Tochigi prefecture about 75 miles from Tokyo. Another one? Good grief! I wonder how much more Japan can take with it's seemingly never ending earthquakes they've been getting since the big one last year.
