A barrage of rockets slammed into southern and central Israel Saturday morning, amidst which Ofir Liebstein, Head of the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council, was killed in an exchange of fire with terrorists.



Liebstein was killed when he went to defend the settlement during the terrorist attack. Deputy head of the council, Yossi Keren is currently filling his place.



Sirens were heard as far as Jerusalem multiple times beginning at 8:15 a.m. Further sirens were heard at 10:15.



At least one rocket directly hit a building in the Gederot Regional Council, killing a woman in her 60s, according to Magen David Adom.



"The Hamas [terrorist organization] has made a grave mistake this morning and launched a war against the State of Israel. IDF troops are fighting against the enemy at every location," said Defense Minister Yoav Gallant following a situation assessment. The State of Israel will win this war.”



The IDF declared that it was "ready for war" after widespread rocket fire was shot into Israeli territory from Gaza, and terrorists infiltrated Israeli territory through various entry points.


Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to the Israeli public on the recent attacks on Israel on Saturday morning.



"This is not an operation, this is a war," the prime minister said.



"First of all, I instructed to cleanse the settlements of the terrorists who had infiltrated them," he continued. "At the same time, I ordered an extensive reserve mobilization."



"The enemy will pay a price they have never known."

Pro-Iranian media have praised the widespread surprise attack on Israel as a “storm” or “flood” of rockets.



Hamas terror commander Mohammed Deif has called for more attacks and encouraged assaults against Israel to take place from within Israel, according to Al-Mayadeen, which is considered pro-Iran.



Al-Mayadeen as well as Iranian media such as Tasnim News have all detailed the widespread attack. This illustrates the widespread Iranian axis involvement in the wave of rocket fire and attacks on Saturday morning.



Al-Mayadeen said that Deif had announced the “Al Aqsa Storm” operation in response to “the occupation” and Israel’s policies in Jerusalem. He referenced claims that women had been assaulted in Jerusalem.



“In response to the occupation’s orgy in Al-Aqsa Mosque and the dragging of women in its courtyards” the Hamas terror leader said that 5,000 rockets had been fired at Israel, Al-Mayadeen claimed.

“The anger of Al-Aqsa and our nation is exploding today.” He claimed that the Al-Aqsa mosque had been “desecrated” and Israel had been “warned.”

Terrorists in Gaza launched a massive surprise attack on Israel on the morning of October 7. Sirens sounded throughout southern Israel and rocket fire could be seen as far as Jerusalem.



This is an unprecedented attack by Hamas and other terrorists in Gaza the likes of which has not been seen since the group came to power in the Strip. This is because it combines rocket fire and attacks along the border of Gaza.



The attack began after six in the morning with rocket fire. The IDF said that the “Hamas terrorist organization had begun a massive shooting of rockets from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory, and terrorists infiltrated into Israeli territory in a number of different locations.”



The IDF also said that “civilians in the southern and central areas are required to stay next to shelters, and in the area surrounding the Gaza Strip, inside shelters. The Chief of the General staff is currently conducting a situational assessment and approves plans for the continuation of the IDF activity.”



Israel has said that “the Hamas terrorist organization is the sovereign in the Gaza Strip and is responsible for this attack. It will face the consequences and responsibility for these events.”



The Minister of Defense approved the draft of reserve soldiers in accordance with the IDF’s requirements.

Israel is in a state of war

How did we get here? In the past conflicts with Gaza often went through stages, with a slow build up of tensions. For instance back in 2008 before Operation Cast Lead there was increasing rocket fire from Gaza.



In many operations it was Israel that dictated the tempo of the conflict, launching strikes in Gaza in 2012 or 2019, with Operations Pillar of Cloud and Black Belt. In 2014 the conflict also began with tensions in the West Bank after the kidnapping and murder of three Israelis. The ten day conflict in 2021 also began with tensions in Jerusalem.



The attacks this morning were unprecedented in their size and their extent. Hamas has tried infiltrations before, but the Gaza border fence and security have generally prevented those attempts.



Hamas has also tried to use rioters as cover for threats. However, even though Hamas had instigated some riots over the last month, there was no evidence that this was a slow drumbeat towards a wider war.



In fact, overall, the Iranian-backed proxies such as Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah had been relatively quiet in their over threats and activity in recent days. This was a lull before the storm.



Today the storm has broken. While it remains to be seen how this attack will continue to unfold and what Israel’s overall response will be, it is clear that Hamas and terror groups in Gaza have sought to dictate the tempo of the conflict, attempting to wrest that decision from Israel.



In a sense this could be seen as an attempt by the terrorists to replay the Yom Kippur War, which included a surprise attack on Israel fifty years ago. Unlike the attack in 1973 the terrorists do not have warplanes or a conventional force and Israel is in a much stronger position.



However, Iran backs the terrorists in Gaza and it is possible that the attack could be a curtain raiser for other moves by Iran and its network of terrorist proxies in the region.

Hamas terror commander Mohammed Deif called for an all out attack on Israel on Saturday morning in a message that was posted on social media.



He called for widespread attacks to “sweep away the occupation.”



Deif claimed that “we have warned the enemy," before noting that Israel had attacked Muslims and “desecrated al-Aqsa.”



This was a reference to recent incidents in Jerusalem that have occurred during the High Holy Days. Deif called on Arabs and Muslims to carry out attacks on Israel in the West Bank and in Israel.



"Our righteous mujahideen, this is your day to make the enemy understand that his time is over. They attacked and desecrated Al-Aqsa, and we had previously warned them,” he said in the video.



He called for Palestinians to "organize their operations against the settlements and sweep away the occupier,” according to the video posted online at Al-Mayadeen and other sites.

Responding to the surprise attack Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that the nation is “at war” and the terrorists “will pay a price it has never known before.” Thus far, the attacks in Israel have reportedly left 300 people dead and nearly 1,600 wounded. Hamas claims it has captured Israel Defense Force soldiers and civilians during its assault on Israeli border towns outside Gaza. Israel’s military response–“Operation Sword of Iron”– has led to the deaths of 198 Palestinians and 1,610 people injured. The attack occurred on the Jewish holiday of Shemini Atzeret, the final day of the annual High Holy Day cycle.

“We bring good news to our (Palestinian) prisoners and our people that the al Qassam Brigades have dozens of captured (Israeli) officers and soldiers in their hands,” a spokesperson for the group writes in a Telegram post.



“They have been secured in safe places and resistance tunnels,” the spokesperson adds.



1:50 P.M. — An unspecified number of rockets fired by terrorists in Gaza have hit Tel Aviv, Israel’s Magen David Adom (MDA) rescue service announces.

In one of the videos, geolocated by CNN to the neighborhood of Shejaiya in Gaza, a barefoot woman is pulled from the trunk of a Jeep by a gunman and then forced into the backseat of the car. Her face is bleeding, and her wrists appear to be cable-tied behind her back. The jeep also appears to have an Israel Defense Forces license plate, suggesting it may have been stolen and brought into Gaza.



Another video, which appears to show Hamas militants taking multiple Israelis captive, was geolocated by CNN to Be’eri in southern Israel, which is a village close to Gaza.

11:45 A.M. — Florida Governor and 2024 Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis issues a statement condemning Hamas’s terror attack on Israel and criticizes President Joe Biden’s policy toward Iran, a key funder of the Palestinian terror organization.



“Israel is now under attack by Iranian-backed Hamas terrorists. Iran has helped fund this war against Israel and Joe Biden’s policies that have gone easy on Iran have helped fill their coffers.” Desantis wrote on social media. “We are going to stand with Israel as they root out Hamas and we need to stand up to Iran.”





The Biden administration is said to have recently greenlit an agreement with Iran to pay the terror-support regime $6 billion in exchange for five detained U.S. citizens.

The deal, according to the Associated Press (AP), entailed the Biden administration issuing a blanket waiver for international banks to transfer $6 billion in frozen Iranian money from South Korea to Qatar without U.S. sanctions. The money would then be held in Qatar’s central bank for Iran to use, reportedly for the purchase of humanitarian goods.



In addition, the Biden administration agreed to release five Iranian citizens held in the U.S.



According to the AP, Secretary of State Antony Blinken signed off on the deal late last week, but Congress was not notified of the deal until Monday, which was also 9/11, the 22nd anniversary of the U.S. suffering terrorist attacks by Islamic fundamentalists.



The deal appears to go against the U.S. policy of not paying countries to release American prisoners so as not to incentivize the behavior.



11:40 A.M. — Yahya Rahim Safavi, who serves as a top adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, lauds Hamas’s terror attack on Israel.



“We congratulate the Palestinian fighters,” Safavi says, according to Reuters. “We will stand by the Palestinian fighters until the liberation of Palestine and Jerusalem.”

In a separate statement, Iran’s foreign ministry is also lauding the attack.



“Today’s operation marked a new page in the field of resistance and armed operations against the occupiers,” spokesman Nasser Kanani says.



“The resistance has so far achieved brilliant victories during this operation, and this is a bright spot in the history of the Palestinian people’s struggle against the Zionists,” he adds.

11:29 A.M. — President Joe Biden issues a statement condemning Hamas’s terror attack on Israel.



“The United States unequivocally condemns this appalling assault against Israel by Hamas terrorists from Gaza, and I made clear to Prime Minister Netanyahu that we stand ready to offer all appropriate means of support to the Government and people of Israel,” Biden says.



“Israel has a right to defend itself and its people,” the president adds. “My Administration’s support for Israel’s security is rock solid and unwavering. My team and I are tracking this situation closely, and I will remain in close touch with Prime Minister Netanyahu.”



Biden has acted frostily towards Netanyahu since the Israeli prime minister returned to power in November. They two world leaders finally met on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York last month. During the sit-down, Biden offered a long-awaited White House visit by the year’s end.





11:25 A.M. — At least 985 people have been hospitalized in connection to Hamas’s terror attack on Israel, according to the Jewish state’s Health Ministry.

11:19 A.M. — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issues another statement outlining Israel’s key objectives in its fight against Hamas.



“Our first objective is to clear out the hostile forces that infiltrated our territory and restore the security and quiet to the communities that have been attacked,” Netanyahu says.



“The second objective, at the same time, is to exact an immense price from the enemy, within the Gaza Strip as well,” the prime minister continues.



“The third objective is to reinforce other fronts so that nobody should mistakenly join this war. We are at war. In war, one needs to be level-headed. I call on all citizens of Israel to unite in order to achieve our highest goal – victory in the war,” he added.





11:07 A.M. — An Israel Defense Forces spokesperson hopes all Hamas terrorists that infiltrated Israel will be neutralized within the next 24 hours.



“We are very much focused on saving forces, where there is ongoing fighting as we speak and handling these terrorists, hopefully by the end of the day there will be no more live terrorists inside Israel,” Richard Hecht tells CNN.



“We are fully deployed and focused on air coverage to see what is happening, we deployed forces to the infiltration points and again we are slowly securing the area and trying to take care of all these people that came in,” Hecht continues.



Hecht also notes that Israel stands ready to defend itself against possible attacks from Lebanon and Syria.



“We are ready in the north [in] case there is some Palestinian faction, in case they decide to come into it we will be ready, something we are looking at and we are ready for it,” he tells the news outlet.



11:02 A.M. — Maj. Gen. Ghassan Alian, who serves as Israeli military’s top liaison to the Palestinians, says Hamas has “opened the gates of hell” due to its deadly attack.

”I want to say one thing — Hamas has opened the gates of hell into the Gaza Strip. Hamas made the decision, and Hamas will bear the responsibility and pay for its deeds,” Alian says.



10:57 A.M. — President Joe Biden and Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke by phone on Saturday, according to CNN. The Israeli government released a statement revealing that Biden phoned Netanyahu and affirmed his support for the Jewish state in the face of the unprecedented terror attack.



The statement reads: “US President Joe Biden called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and emphasized that the US stands by Israel and fully supports Israel’s right to defend itself. The Prime Minister thanked the US President for his unreserved support and made it clear that a prolonged and powerful campaign would be required in which Israel would win.”



10:46 A.M. — Israel Defense Forces spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari confirms that terror attacks are still ongoing in 22 locations. Hostage situations are unfolding in Kibbutz Be’eri and the city of Ofakim. Additionally, heavy gun fire between Israel troops and Hamas terrorists have led to multiple injuries, according to the Times of Israel via Channel 12.





10:44 A.M. —Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin says the U.S. will ensure that Israel has the tools to defend itself against Hamas.



“Over the coming days the department of defence will work to ensure that Israel has what it needs to defend itself and protect civilians from indiscriminate violence and terrorism,” Austin stated.



10:38 A.M. — Hamas has taken a number of Israelis as hostages to the Gaza Strip, a spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces confirms. The spokesperson, Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, also confirms that Israeli Defense Force soldiers have been killed in the terror attack.

“Sadly, American taxpayer dollars helped fund these attacks, which many reports are saying came from the Biden Administration,” Trump said.

The woman whose body was seen on video in the back of a truck earlier today driven by Palestinian terrorists to Gaza has been identified.



30-year-old Shani Louk was a German citizen visiting Israel. She was attending a music festival for peace held near the Gaza border fence when she was murdered today by Hamas terrorists..



Shani Houk’s body lay lifeless in the back of a truck after Hamas raided southern Israel on Saturday. Palestinians were filmed chanting “Allahu Akbar!” (God is good) as they drove down the streets of Gaza.

Earlier today, Hamas terrorists launched a major surprise attack on Israel. The Islamist group fired over 5,000 missiles inside Israel, crossed into southern Israel, captured innocent citizens and Israeli soldiers as prisoners, and launched numerous attacks across southern Israel.


This assault comes just weeks after Joe Biden sent $6 billion to Iran in September.



The last time the US gave stacks of money to Iran, during the Obama years, Iran launched a massive military build-up.



This time it took four weeks before Iran’s proxy army in Gaza launched a historic military assault on Israel on the Sabbath.



Shani Louk was reportedly attending a peace concert at the time in southern Israel.



Human Events pointed out that she has the same leg tattoo as the woman’s body in the truck.







Shani’s cousin spoke with the Washington Post.



Tom Weintraub Louk, 30, said her cousin Shani Louk was missing after militants overran an outdoor dance party near Kibbutz Urim on Saturday morning.



When family members heard news of the attacks from Gaza in the early hours of the morning, they tried to contact Shani, who is in her early twenties and holds German and Israeli citizenship.



“We knew she was in the party; she didn’t answer,” Louk said.



The revelers had been dancing in the area all night. Family members also desperately tried reach her Mexican boyfriend, but they couldn’t get through.



Later in the morning, in the slew of videos exchanged on social media, another cousin sent one that appeared to show Shani in the back of a pickup truck.



“She’s lying there on the jeep of Hamas with armed people,” said Louk, who hasn’t been able to bring herself to look at the video herself but said her cousin’s parents have. “We recognized her by the tattoos, and she has long dreadlocks,” she said. While her cousin appears lifeless, the family is still holding out for news, Louk said.



In the video the woman is facedown in the bed of the truck with four militants. One holds her hair while another raises a gun in the air and shouts “Allahu Akbar!” A crowd follows the truck cheering.

In a somber and urgent address to the nation, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stark warning to the Hamas terrorists and vowed to use “all the strength” of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to “destroy Hamas’s capabilities.” The Prime Minister’s announcement comes in the wake of a devastating attack by Hamas militants on Israeli territory earlier today, which resulted in the loss of innocent lives, including children and the elderly.



“This morning, on Shabbat and a holiday, Hamas invaded Israeli territory and murdered innocent citizens including children and the elderly. Hamas has started a brutal and evil war,” said Netanyahu.



“We will be victorious in this war despite an unbearable price. This is a very difficult day for all of us,” he continued.



The Prime Minister emphasized that the scale and brutality of the attack were “unprecedented in Israel,” and pledged to ensure that such an event “does not happen again.”


“Hamas wants to murder us all. This is an enemy that murders children and mothers in their homes, in their beds, an enemy that abducts the elderly, children, and young women, that slaughters and massacres our citizens, including children, who simply went out to enjoy the holiday,” Netanyahu said.



Netanyahu assured the Israeli public that the “entire government is behind this decision,” signaling a unified stance among Israel’s political leadership. He also indicated that the IDF would “immediately use all its strength to destroy Hamas’s capabilities.”



“We will destroy them and will forcefully avenge this dark day that they have forced on Israel and its citizens,” he declared.



Quoting the famous Hebrew poet Hayim Nahman Bialik, Netanyahu said, “‘Revenge for the blood of a little child has yet been devised by Satan.’ All of the places which Hamas is deployed, hiding and operating in, that wicked city, we will turn them into rubble.”



In a direct message to the residents of Gaza, the Prime Minister said, “Leave now because we will operate forcefully everywhere.” He revealed that the IDF is already “clearing the terrorists out of the last communities,” going “community by community, house by house,” to restore Israeli control.



“We are all praying for the well-being of the wounded and all those who are being held hostage,” he said, before issuing a final warning to Hamas: “You are responsible for their well-being. Israel will settle accounts with anyone who harms one hair on their heads.”

David Friedman: Jewish People Seeing Some of the Most Barbaric Acts Since the Holocaust

Former Trump administration U.S. ambassador to Israel David Friedman said on a preview of Fox News Channel’s “Life, Liberty & Levin” that Hamas’ terror attacks on Jewish people were “some of the most barbaric acts since the Holocaust.”



Friedman said, “We saw today some of the most brutal acts against Jewish people that we have seen since the Holocaust. This was very, very difficult to watch, painful to watch. I’m here in Jerusalem. I was in and out of shelters all day long. Jewish people murdered, civilians murdered, pulled out of their homes all through an expensive, highly sophisticated attack with lethal and advanced equipment. How did Hamas get all that stuff? They don’t earn any money it is a terrorist organization.”



He continued, “They get the money from Iran, which we are now appeasing and facilitating and taking off, lifting sanctions and emboldening them and making them even richer. So, we are giving Iran money to help Hamas. The Palestinian Authority gives a lot of money to Hamas. We didn’t give them any money in the Trump administration. They are getting it now because the Biden administration has reversed that.”



Friedman added, “Our government directly and indirectly providing funding to some of the worst actors on the planet. All of that many filters down trickles down into the hands of this vile terrorist organization, which uses it to buy the kinds of weaponry in the planning and training that enabled them to commit these barbaric acts today.”

Survivors of Music Festival Hamas Attack Recount ‘Horror Movie’ Massacre That Left Hundreds Dead

Survivors of an attack on a music festival in Southern Israel by Hamas terrorists claimed that it was like a “horror movie” as hundreds of dead bodies have been recovered and others are believed to have been taken hostage by Islamist Palestinians.



On Saturday, the Supernova music festival attended by approximately 3,000 people in the Negev desert near Kibbutz Re’im quickly turned from a joyous occasion marking the Jewish holiday of Sukkot into a “massacre” as Hamas terrorists raided the event from the nearby Gaza Strip. The attack came as Palestine waged a series of surprise attacks on Israel on Shemini Atzeret, the final day of the annual High Holy Day cycle.



Speaking to Israel’s Channel 12 broadcaster one survivor of the attack said that it was “four-five hours of a horror movie… We ran like crazy, it was just crazy.”



Although no official numbers on the number of dead, injured, or kidnapped have been released, an emergency medic named Yaniv who came to the scene of the atrocity told public broadcaster Kan News: “There are at least 200 bodies of Israelis in the area I was in.”



“It was a massacre,” Yaniv continued. “I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. It was a planned ambush. As people came out of the emergency exits, squads of terrorists were waiting for them there and just started picking them off.



“There were 3,000 people at the event, so they probably knew it. They had intelligence information.”



According to the volunteer group ZAKA, which assists in handling the dead in the wake of terror attacks and natural disasters, at least 250 bodies have been recovered from the site of the music festival so far, the Times of Israel reports.

Speaking to the BBC, an attendee of the festival, Gili Yoskovich recalled how she hid under a tree as terrorist gunmen mowed down the people, saying: “They were going tree by tree and shooting. I saw people were dying all around. I was very quiet. I didn’t cry, I didn’t do anything.”



“But I was on the one hand breathing, saying: ‘OK, I’m going to die. It’s OK, just breathe, just close your eyes,’ because it was shooting everywhere, it was very very close to me. Then I heard the terrorists open a big van…and get more weapons from this car. They were in the area for three hours. No-one was there, no-one.



“They were very close to me and my leg was shaking. I tried and did my best, I moved a little bit and when they were in this side I heard them talking Arabic.



“I was just thinking about my kids, my friend, about everything and I was saying it’s not the time to die for me, not yet. Then I started to hear some Hebrew from one side, [but] Arabic from three sides. I realised that there were some soldiers, maybe five or six.



“I decided to go to these soldiers. Meanwhile, there were still terrorists around, so I was going with my hands up so that they will know that its me and I’m not a terrorist. Then someone was putting me in a car.



“I was the first one to get out of the field. It took others two or three more hours to get out [and] all the way people were dying – all the way on the road, young people, [as] it’s a festival for young people.”



“The most crazy thing is how come we were there for such a long time and no one was there. No army, no police. Nothing.”

One of those still missing from the festival is British man Jake Marlowe, 26, who was serving as a security guard for the event. The UK Home Office told the BBC that it is “in contact with – and assisting – the families of several individuals” who are believed to have been kidnapped by Hamas but would not comment on specific cases.



Another attendee of the festival, German citizen Shani Louk was filmed lying lifelessly in the back of a pickup truck at the feet of several Hamas terrorists, who shouted “Allah hu Akbar” as they spit on her half-naked body. It is still unclear whether Louk is alive or dead. Her mother, Ricarda, issued a desperate plea on Saturday begging for any information about the fate of her daughter.



The parents of American-Israeli Hersh Golberg-Polin have also issued calls for information about their son who went to the festival to celebrate his birthday. His parents told the Jerusalem Post that they have not heard from him since receiving two text messages on Saturday morning, reading: “I love you” and “I’m sorry.”



Footage believed to have been taken during the attack on the festival saw 25-year-old Noa Argamani desperately pleading for help as she was dragged away by Hamas terrorists. Her father, Ya’akov said that he was heartbroken after watching the video, and said that he is praying that she is safely returned home.



“I asked to see and then I saw that it was definitely her. She was so scared, so frightened. I always protected her, and at this very moment I couldn’t,” he cried. “I pray that everyone will return.”

Hundreds of Pro-Palestinian protesters marched through New York City on Sunday following the slaughter of 700 Jews by Hamas inside Israel on Saturday.



The protesters supported Hamas following the brutal slaughter of 700 Jews including 260 young adults at a concert.

The Democratic Socialists of America (the party of Ilhan Omar, Cori Bush, Rashida Talib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal Bowman) gathered in New York on Sunday to hold a Pro-Palestinian “All Out for Palestine” rally.



Hamas reportedly launched over 5,000 missiles into southern and central Israel. Reports reveal 700 Israelis are dead over 2,150 are wounded and 100 more taken hostage.


The death toll is expected to rise after Hamas fired thousands more rockets and sent dozens more militants into Israeli towns.



Terrorists reportedly opened fire on hundreds of Israelis attending a nature party, also described as a peace party, in the desert near the border. Dozens of women have been reported missing and it is feared they may have been kidnapped and forced into Gaza.



Margaret Flavin reported on the rally earlier.



At one point the pro-Hamas protesters chanted, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” This is an old chant describing the Palestinian goal of slaughtering all of the Jews in Israel.



They were chanting this the day after Hamas murdered 700 Jews in the largest mass murder of civilian Jews since the Holocaust.
