Four American Citizens Killed in Terrorist Attack on Israel

As many as four American citizens are confirmed to have been killed during the terrorist attack in Israel over the weekend, which has claimed over 700 lives.



Confirmation of the dead Americans came on Sunday after U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the Biden administration had been “working overtime” to verify reports of missing and dead Americans in the midst of Hamas launching an unprecedented attack on Israel.



Four Americans have been killed in the attacks in Israel close to the Gaza border and the death toll is expected to rise, sources familiar with a Sunday briefing to key House committees told CNN.



“We have reports that several Americans were killed. We’re working overtime to verify that. At the same time, there are reports of missing Americans and there again, we’re working to verify those reports,” Blinken told CNN’s Dana Bash.



CNN later learned from key House committees that four Americans were killed.

Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer also told CNN on Sunday that Hamas has taken American hostages among the scores of Israeli hostages in their grasp.

The families of several kidnap and murder victims from the savage Hamas attack on Saturday have reported the terrorists using the cell phones and social media accounts of their victims to send them graphic photos and taunting text messages.

The woman referenced in the above incident, Mor Bayder, said Hamas uploaded a graphic photo of her grandmother’s corpse to her own Facebook account on Saturday morning. The photo was taken with her slain grandmother’s phone.



“A terrorist came home to her, killed her, took her phone, filmed the horror and published it on her Facebook wall. This is how we found out,” Bayder said.



“The purest thing in the world, the light of my life, my whole world, my grandmother, can’t make it real,” she mourned.



A woman named Tamar David received a taunting phone call from a Hamas terrorist on Saturday, informing her that her daughters Hodia and Tair, 25 and 27 years old respectively, had been kidnapped from a music festival and dragged back to Gaza as prisoners.

Friend of the family Tal Hezekiah took the phone from Tamar as she wailed in anguish, and said he could hear the terrorist laughing on the other end.



“Then the terrorist laughed and said to me in broken Hebrew: ‘Do you want to marry her?’ And hung up,” he told reporters.



Hezekiah said one of the sisters was able to call home during the savage assault on the Tribe of Nova music festival. He said one of them “may have been injured” during the attack.

“There was a video that was uploaded on social media and in one of the segments we saw for a few seconds Hodia when she was kidnapped and held in the Gaza Strip. They were taken in a Jeep or vehicle along with several other young people who were kidnapped at the party,” he said.



A woman who remained anonymous for her own safety told CNN she was talking to her children on the phone when they were abducted by Hamas terrorists.

“Since I was away, they were alone in the security room. They were with me on the phone, and by 8:00 in the morning, there was starting to be shooting in the streets, guns shooting,” she said.



“I started getting messages, texts, from other people saying that terrorists are walking around, trying to break into people’s houses,” she continued. Soon afterward, her children heard the door of their own house being smashed in.



“I can’t even imagine what they felt, and I wasn’t there to help,” she said tearfully. “I was on the phone, and I said to be quiet, to stay quiet, stay in the security room and lock the door – but the doors don’t really lock.”

The woman said she heard the door to the security room break a few minutes later.



“I heard the terrorists speaking in Arabic to my teenagers, and my youngest saying to them, ‘I’m too young to go.’ They’re 16 and 12, so it was very, very hard to hear,” she said.



“They took babies. They took two-year-olds. They took five-year-olds, mothers – just innocent citizens who did nothing wrong, that were just sleeping in their beds,” she sobbed.

51-year-old Mark Peretz leaped into his car and drove to the rescue of his 20-year-old daughter Maya when he learned the Tribe of Nova festival was under attack. Maya was able to make her way to safety, but Mark disappeared and has not been seen since. He was using his cell phone to share his location with friends and family. His cell phone has been “moving erratically across the countryside in ways that don’t make sense,” as the New York Post put it on Monday, leading his family to suspect the terrorists have captured him and/or his phone.



“We were just at hospitals looking for him, we were just at police stations looking for any answers, trying to track his phone, trying to do anything,” said Peretz’s daughter-in-law Jessica Cohen, who saluted his courage and called him “just the best person in the world."

Israel Imposes Complete Siege on Gaza, Cuts Off Electricity, Fuel, Food, and Water Ahead of Ground Operation (VIDEOS)

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced a “complete siege” on Gaza on Monday. The blockade includes a ban on the admission of food, water, electricity, and fuel. This move is seen as Israel’s retaliation against Hamas following their largest attack on the country in decades.



On Saturday, Israel officially declared a state of war as of 06:30 a.m. local time. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are grappling with an unprecedented level of aggression from Hamas, the militant group based in Gaza.



Approximately 3,000 rockets have been launched into Israeli territory, terrorists have infiltrated Israel’s borders, and civilians, including children and families, are under attack. The Israeli government has stated unequivocally that “Hamas will pay a heavy price for this inhumane attack against Israel.”



The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have initiated “Operation Swords of Iron”. This military operation aims to strike back at Hamas and protect Israeli citizens from further harm. The operation involves a coordinated effort between various branches of the IDF, including ground, air, and naval forces.


“We are setting up a complete siege of Gaza: No electricity, no food, no water, no gas. Everything is closed. We are fighting human animals. And we are acting accordingly,” Gallant said in a video statement.


The military blockade comes after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stark warning on Saturday to the Hamas terrorists and vowed to use “all the strength” of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to “destroy Hamas’s capabilities” following the terrorist attacks.



“We will destroy them and will forcefully avenge this dark day that they have forced on Israel and its citizens… All of the places which Hamas is deployed, hiding and operating in, that wicked city [Gaza], we will turn them into rubble,” Netanyahu said.



In a direct message to the residents of Gaza, the Prime Minister said, “Leave now because we will operate forcefully everywhere.” He revealed that the IDF is already “clearing the terrorists out of the last communities,” going “community by community, house by house,” to restore Israeli control.



“What Hamas will experience will be difficult and terrible … we are going to change the Middle East,” Netanyahu told officials from southern Israel on Sunday. “This is only the beginning … we are all with you and we will defeat them with force, enormous force.”

Biden Administration Sending Weapons to Israel After Dipping into Its Military Stockpile for Ukraine

The Biden administration is sending munitions to Israel months after it dipped into an Israel-based U.S. military stockpile to aid Ukraine.


Joe Biden told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a call Sunday that military assistance was on the way, with more to follow over the coming days. That assistance will include munitions, according to the Pentagon.



According to the New York Times, the Pentagon in January tapped into its “vast but little-known stockpile of American ammunition in Israel to help meet Ukraine’s dire need for artillery shells in the war with Russia.”



The stockpile was for the Pentagon to use in Middle East conflicts but also for Israel to access in “emergencies.”



Now, the Biden administration is rushing over more supplies to Israel as it embarks on a major military operation against Hamas terrorists that launched attacks across the country, killing more than 900, including at least nine Americans.

The purpose of the stockpile in Israel was for a very scenario that the country saw on Saturday after it was under siege from Hamas militants.



According to the Times, the origin of the stockpile was the 1973 Arab-Israeli War, when the U.S. airlifted weapons to resupply Israeli forces — which it is doing again now. The report said:



After the war, the United States established warehouses in Israel so that it could rely on them if it were again caught in a crisis. A strategic memorandum signed by the two countries in the 1980s paved the way for the “pre-positioning” of Pentagon assets in Israel, according to two former U.S. officials and a former senior Israeli military officer with direct knowledge of the agreement.

Israel was allowed to withdraw American munitions from the stockpile during its war with Hezbollah in the summer of 2006 and again during operations against Hamas in the Gaza Strip in 2014, according to a Congressional Research Service report released in February 2022.



The Times reported that Israel had been worried that the move could damage its relations with Russia. The report said 300,000 155-millimeter shells were to be shipped to Ukraine. It added that stockpiles in Israel and South Korea accounted for a “sizable” portion of the one million 155-millimeter shells the U.S. has sent or pledged to Ukraine.



Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin had made the request to then-Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz via an “encrypted phone conversation.” Gantz then brought the request to the Israeli cabinet, which deferred to the opinion of the “defense establishment,” which recommended accepting the plan to avoid tension with the United States. Then-Prime Minister Yair Lapid approved the request at the end of the discussion, according to the report.



According to a report in Politico on Sunday, the White House “may be considering” releasing some of the stockpile to Israel. A U.S. official said there is still enough left. The official claimed that military assistance to Israel would not impact its aid to Ukraine, as the countries use “different systems.”



“Israel has Iron Dome, whereas Ukraine has NASAMS, Patriot, Hawks,” the official told the outlet. “It’s a bit of a different category.”

Hamas warned that it would start executing hostages unless Israel stopped bombing Palestinian homes in Gaza without advance notice, amid an intense flurry of diplomatic activity to free the group of 100 Israeli and foreign captives which includes seniors and small children.



Hamas armed wing spokesman Abu Obaida said they have been acting in accordance with Islamic instructions by keeping the Israeli captives safe and sound, blaming the threat to kill them on Israeli actions.



The warning came as Israel prepared for a ground war in Gaza, Hamas continued to fire rockets at Israel, land battles between militants and the IDF continued in the South and violence broke out with Hezbollah and other terror groups along Israel’s northern border.



The war, which the IDF has dubbed Operation Swords of Iron began on Saturday morning after Hamas assaulted the Southern border communities, killing over 900 people starting on Saturday morning.



Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday night: “We are fighting for our home. We are in an existential war that we will win,” he said.



“We always knew who Hamas was, now the whole world knows, Hamas is ISIS – and we will defeat it just as the civilized world defeated ISIS. This bitter enemy wanted war – and he will get war,” he said.



Netanyahu said he has embarked on a series of steps such as restoring calm to the south, stopping infiltrations, striking at terror targets on Israel’s borders, seeking broad international support and reunifying the nation. He also called for a broad national emergency government.



Israel planned to continue to strike at Hamas targets, Netanyahu said, as he thanked global leaders for their support, particularly US President Joe Biden.

“We all want immediate results, but this will take time,” Netanyahu said, warning Hamas that it had been a mistake to attack Israel on Saturday morning.



“Difficult days are ahead,” he said, adding that “we are determined to win this war.”



“Hamas will understand that by attacking us, they have made a mistake of historic proportions. We will exact a price that will be remembered by them and Israel’s other enemies for decades to come.”



The United States has worked to prevent a multi-front war, with Biden scheduled to speak on the matter with key US allies.



Should those efforts fail, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has said his country will send the USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group to the Eastern Mediterranean, closer to Israel. The force includes the nuclear-powered carrier, a guided missile cruiser and four guided missile destroyers.



Austin also said the US had taken steps to augment its Air Force F-35, F-15, F-16, and A-10 fighter aircraft squadrons in the region.



Netanyahu said, “Our joint enemies .. understand very well the importance of this step.”



Securing the hostages

Securing the release of the hostages is seen as a first step toward restoring calm, after three days of war. Foreign Minister Eli Cohen confirmed that there were more than 100 hostages held in Gaza and the US has said that some of them are American citizens.



Coordinator for the Captives and Missing Brig.-Gen. (Ret.) Gal Hirsch, who was appointed to the task only on Sunday, said, “We are engaged in formulating a full assessment of the situation and are acting with full force to create an effective mechanism, an address for all families that are anxious for the fate of their loved ones.



“We are in the midst of a difficult war; the fighting is continuing and will continue,” Hirsch said.



“The storm is great and the heart is in great pain, very much so. Difficult missions are yet before us, and I am with you, in the campaign to bring the captives and the missing back home to Israel.”



A senior Israeli source rejected reports of hostage negotiations, despite stories of Egyptian, Qatari and Turkish efforts.



Qatari mediators have held urgent calls to try to negotiate freedom for Israeli women and children held in Gaza in exchange for the release of 36 Palestinian women and children from Israel’s prisons, a source briefed on the talks told Reuters.



Qatar’s foreign ministry confirmed to Reuters its involvement in mediation talks with Hamas and Israeli officials, including over a possible prisoner swap.



The ongoing negotiations, which Qatar has been conducting in coordination with the US since Saturday night, are “moving positively” said the source, who has been briefed on them.



“We are in constant contact with all sides at the moment. Our priorities are to end the bloodshed, release the prisoners and make sure the conflict is contained with no regional spillover,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed Al-Ansari told Reuters, without elaborating.



A Palestinian official, familiar with mediation efforts with Hamas and Israel in the past, told Reuters that Qatar and Egypt have been in contact with the group but the intensity of the fighting cast shadows over any potential breakthrough.



Egypt has been in close contact with Israel and Hamas to try to prevent further escalation in fighting between them and to ensure the protection of the Israeli hostages, two Egyptian security sources said.



Egypt had urged Israel to exercise restraint and Hamas to hold its captives in good condition to keep open the possibility of de-escalation soon, the Egyptian sources said, speaking on condition of anonymity.



Asked about Washington’s coordination with Qatar on a potential swap, the US State Department referenced a Saturday phone call between Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Qatar’s Prime Minister in which the two agreed to “remain closely coordinated.”



A senior Hamas official said the group is open to discussions over a possible truce with Israel, having “achieved its targets.”



Moussa Abu Marzouk told Al Jazeera in a phone interview that Hamas was open to “something of that sort” and “all political dialogs” when asked whether the Islamist group is willing to discuss a possible ceasefire.



Israel continued to receive global support for its war with Hamas, although some diplomats warned against a disproportionate response and frowned on a possible ground campaign.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres condemned “the abhorrent attacks by Hamas and others against Israeli towns and villages in the Gaza periphery.



“I recognize the legitimate grievances of the Palestinian people. But nothing can justify these acts of terror and the killing, maiming and abduction of civilians.



“I reiterate my call to immediately cease these attacks and release all hostages,” Guterres said.



Still, he said, he was alarmed by the high casualty count from Israeli strike against Hamas in Gaza. There are “alarmed by reports of over 500 Palestinians – including women and children – killed in Gaza and over 3,000 injured.



“While I recognize Israel’s legitimate security concerns, I also remind Israel that military operations must be conducted in strict accordance with international humanitarian law,” he said.



He also took issue with Israel’s announcement that it was cutting electricity, fuel and water to Gaza, as well as preventing goods from exiting and entering the Strip, including food.



“The humanitarian situation in Gaza was extremely dire before these hostilities; now it will only deteriorate exponentially,” he said

The United Nations Security Council on Monday failed to heed Israel’s call to condemn Hamas’s war crimes, after the terrorist group launched a war against Israel, killing more than 700 civilians and soldiers and taking some 100 others hostage.



“This is Israel’s 9/11,” Israeli Ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan told reporters, adding that “from now, nothing will be as it was.”



“Hamas’s war crimes must be unequivocally condemned,” he said.



The UN that was established after the Holocaust to enforce the “Never Again principle” has persistently failed to call out Hamas for its terrorist activity, he added.



Erdan spoke before the UNSC held a special meeting behind closed doors for consultations on the situation in Israel and as the IDF prepared for a ground campaign in the Gaza Strip. No statement was released after the meeting.



Such a statement was not a priority for Washington at the moment, US Deputy Ambassador to the UN Robert Wood told reporters after the meeting.



'What's important now is solidarity'

“What’s important now is [that] the international community shows its solidarity with Israel. We have Israel’s back fully,” he said. “The condemnation of Hamas needs to continue until they end this violent terrorist activity against the Israeli people.”



Wood said all attempts to draw a “false” equivalency between the Hamas assault on Israel and IDF actions to ensure security was “unacceptable.”



United Arab Emirates Ambassador to the UN Lana Nusseibeh said the council also discussed the applicability of international humanitarian law and the protection of civilians.



“The point about proportionate response was also discussed,” she told reporters. “But clearly, right now, the focus for Israel is its own security needs and the fact that it has hostages being held in the Gaza Strip that should be released.”



The UNSC gathered as mounting video and evidence was posted on social media, documenting the civilian cost of the attacks, including photographs of grandmothers and small children kidnapped by Hamas.



'Blatant documented war crimes'

“These are war crimes – blatant documented war crimes,” Erdan said.



“As rockets rained down indiscriminately upon Israeli towns and cities, hundreds of Hamas terrorists infiltrated Israel and began a barbaric pogrom of unparalleled magnitude,” he said about the invasion that began around 6 a.m. on Saturday.



“Ruthless terrorists gunned down innocent Israeli civilians in the streets, murdering anything that moved,” Erdan said. They “broke into homes, gathered entire families into rooms and shot them point-blank as if they were stomping on insects.”



He held up photos of the dead to underscore his point and compared the killers to Nazis, adding that in some cases, the elderly victims were Holocaust survivors. “Grandparents and the elderly, among them Holocaust survivors who endured the Nazis, were violently dragged from their homes, this time by Hamas, and taken into Gaza,” Erdan told reporters.

Palestinian Authority envoy to the UN Riyad Mansour, in his conversation with reporters, focused on Palestinian suffering at Israel’s hands and urged the international community not to back an Israeli military campaign in Gaza.



“When Israel now tries to justify yet another assault... no one should say or do anything to encourage it down this path,” he said. “We know only too well that the messages about Israel’s right to defend itself will be interpreted by Israel as a license to kill, to pursue the very path that led us here.”



There have already been 370 Palestinian fatalities in the last day due to IDF bombings, including entire families killed in their sleep, Mansour said. “Why is nothing done when those killed are Palestinians?” he asked.



The international community has to ask itself what an Israeli campaign in Gaza is about, Mansour said. “If this is about vengeance, then many Palestinians will feel that they have much to avenge,” he said. “If this is about peace, then the way to it is not through further entrenching oppression and occupation.”



“You cannot say that nothing justifies killing Israelis and then provide justification for killing Palestinians,” he added. “We are not subhuman. We will never accept a rhetoric that denigrates our humanity and... our rights.”



Palestinian statehood is the only path to peace, Mansour said.



“Israel cannot wage a full-scale war on a nation, its people, its land, its holy sites and expect peace in exchange,” he said. “One needs to address the root causes of the conflict, and by doing so, we will be addressing its consequences.”



Erdan compares Hamas to ISIS, al-Qaeda

Erdan, in his remarks to reporters, compared Hamas to the international terrorist groups ISIS and al-Qaeda. “Hamas is a genocidal Islamist Jihadist terror organization,” he said. “It is no different than ISIS. It is no different than al-Qaeda. There is no reasoning with genocidal Jihadists,” whose charter calls for the annihilation of the Jewish states.



Erdan chastised the international community for failing to condemn Hamas in the past and accepting it as a representative for the Palestinian people.



Since Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005, “the world has tried to reason with these terrorists,” he said, adding that billions of dollars in international assistance to rehabilitate Gaza was diverted for terrorist activity. “Money is fungible,” he added. “It enters Gaza and goes straight to building terror tunnels, rocket launchpads, missile manufacturing sites, and other terror infrastructure.”



“Mark my words, Israel may be under attack today,” Erdan said. “But this is not only a war on Israel. This is a war on the free world. It is a war on civilization. Israel is at the forefront of the war on terror, and if we do not succeed, the whole world will pay the price,” he said.



“Israel will not accept any false, immoral comparisons between a savage terror group that targets innocents and the democratic State of Israel,” Erdan said.



Wood told reporters he expected all Security Council members to strongly condemn what has happened. “This was terrorism, plain and simple, and terrorism cannot be allowed to stand,” he said.

US President Joe Biden has pledged 'rock solid' support for Israel

President Joe Biden ordered US ships and warplanes to move closer to Israel in a show of support on Sunday, while sending fresh military aid after attacks by the Palestinian militant group Hamas.



The Pentagon said it was sending the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford and its accompanying warships to the eastern Mediterranean, while boosting fighter aircraft squadrons in the region.



US Central Command confirmed Sunday afternoon that ships and planes had begun moving to their new posts.



At least four American citizens are known to have been killed in the violence so far, according to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.



The White House has moved quickly to affirm US backing for Israel after Saturday’s surprise attack from the Gaza Strip, vowing “rock solid” support and warning other parties to stay out of the conflict.



Biden on Sunday spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and “conveyed that additional assistance for the Israeli Defense Forces is now on its way to Israel with more to follow over the coming days,” the White House said.



“The leaders also discussed ongoing efforts to ensure that no enemies of Israel believe they can or should seek advantage from the current situation,” it said in a statement.



The US president further “pledged his full support for the Government and people of Israel in the face of an unprecedented and appalling assault by Hamas terrorists.”



Hamas later accused the United States, a major supplier of arms to Israel, of “actual participation in the aggression against our people” by moving the aircraft carrier.



The Israeli-Palestinian conflict’s worst escalation in decades has claimed more than 700 lives on the Israeli side, according to the military, while Gaza officials reported at least 400 deaths in Israeli air strikes.



Netanyahu has steeled his shocked nation for what he called a long war ahead, with tens of thousands of Israeli forces already deployed to battle holdout Hamas forces and prepare a possible Gaza ground offensive.



‘Ironclad support’

The conflict has stoked fears of a wider conflagration. Lebanon’s Iran-backed Hezbollah movement said Sunday it had fired shells and missiles at Israeli positions.



With tensions rising, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said he was sending forces to “bolster regional deterrence efforts” after discussions with Biden.



As well as the USS Gerald R. Ford carrier, this deployment includes a guided missile cruiser and four guided missile destroyers, Austin said in a statement.



“The United States government will be rapidly providing the Israel Defense Forces with additional equipment and resources, including munitions,” added Austin, who also spoke with his Israeli counterpart on Sunday.



The movement of US ships and planes and the aid to Israel “underscores the United States’ ironclad support for the Israel Defense Forces and the Israeli people.”



The United States on Sunday afternoon led calls for condemnation of the Hamas assault on Israel at the United Nations Security Council.



“I expect to hear from the other Council members very strong condemnation of these heinous acts of terrorism committed against the Israeli people and their government,” senior US diplomat Robert Wood told reporters.



‘World should be revolted’

A US National Security Council spokesperson had Sunday evening confirmed the deaths of a number of Americans, without giving any further details.



But in a statement after a Senate briefing with senior national security and State Department officials, the Majority leader Schumer said: “The Administration told us that they know of four thus far, but, sadly, we know the toll will rise.



Earlier Sunday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Americans may also have been taken hostage in the attacks.



He told ABC that “this is a massive terrorist attack that is gunning down Israeli civilians in their towns, in their homes, and as we’ve seen so graphically, literally dragging people across the border with Gaza.



“So, you can imagine the impact this is having throughout Israel. And the world should be revolted at what it has seen.”



State and local authorities throughout the United States — including in New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Houston — said there would be increased security presence at US synagogues in the coming days, though there was no specific threat,

A young Israeli couple was able to hide their ten-month-old twins before Hamas terrorists broke into their home and murdered them, the New York Post reported.



Itai and Hadar Berdichevsky, both 30, were attacked in their home in Kfar Gaza, a kibbutz in southern Israel located roughly three miles east of Gaza, the Post reported, citing the Israeli outlet Walla. The parents reportedly hid the infants in a bomb shelter before being murdered trying to fight off the terrorists.



“Israeli troops rescued the unharmed babies about 14 hours later and handed them to their grandmother,” according to the report.



Israeli Ambassador to Colombia Gali Dagan has hailed the parents as “heroes” who did “everything they could to save their children,” the Daily Mail reported.



“They hid their 10-month-old twin children in the shelter while terrorists infiltrated their home,” Dagan wrote on Twitter. “Itay and Hadar were brutally murdered after bravely fighting the terrorists.”



“The babies were left alone for more than 12 hours until they were rescued. Imagine the horror. Two terrified parents doing everything they can to save their children, who are now orphaned. Blessed be the memory of these heroes,” he continued.

The Palestinian terror group Hamas launched an attack early Saturday on Israel, which has thus far killed more than 900 people and wounded 2,500, according to reports. The attack occurred on the Jewish holiday of Shemini Atzeret, the last festival of the High Holy Day cycle.


More than 100 Israelis were also kidnapped to Gaza — including women, children, and the elderly, many of whom were abused during their abductions. In response to the attack, the Israeli Airforce has struck at least 1,000 terror targets in Gaza. Israel has also mobilized 300,000 reservists in the past 48 hours as its forces continue strikes against Hamas terror targets in Gaza.



The Palestinian terror attack against Israel has been referred to as the “worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.”



Joe Biden said the death toll of Americans in connection to Hamas’s terror attack on Israel has risen from nine to 11, while more Americans are being held hostage by Hamas.

Israel’s act of self defense in laying siege to Hamas terrorists and their supporters in the Gaza Strip was declared a “prohibited” act Tuesday by the U.N. human rights chief.



U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, issued a call for peace and understanding in the region from his office in Geneva, Switzerland, before admonishing any prospective retaliatory move by Israel against its Islamic attackers. He cautioned:

Hamas Terrorists Slaughter 40 Babies, Several Decapitated

Israeli military forces have found at least 40 babies who were brutally murdered by Hamas terrorists, according to reports.



The horrific scene was uncovered in a kibbutz in southern Israel after the military drove the terrorists out of the area.



Reporting from Kfar Aza, Israel-based i24 News correspondent Nicole Zedeck said it was “hard to even explain exactly the mass casualties that happened right here.”



Zedeck said she saw “baby cribs thrown to the side” and “strollers left behind.”



Some of the babies were reportedly found decapitated.



The young children were butchered after upward of 70 terrorists stormed the community on Saturday.



Survivors say the Islamic militants were slaughtering entire families and taking numerous hostages.



In a kibbutz, all babies in the community are typically housed together in one nursery.



The terrorists reportedly set homes on fire to force innocent people out of their safe rooms.



When they ran for safety, they were then gunned down by the Hamas terrorists.



Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Major General Itai Veruv issued a statement after finding the slaughtered babies, saying:



“It’s not a war, it’s not a battlefield. It’s a massacre.



“You see the babies, the mother, the father, in their bedrooms, in their protection rooms, and how the terrorists killed them.


“It’s something we used to imagine from our grandmothers, grandfathers in pogroms in Europe and other places.”

On the third day of war between Hamas and Israel, residents of northern Israel were rushing to evacuate towns near the Lebanese border and buying essentials in preparation for a possible escalation.



As in much of the country, an eerie silence prevailed throughout the north, broken only by the rain showers periodically breaking over the area.



Driving up from central Israel, there was relatively little traffic on what is usually one of Israel’s busiest highways, Highway 6. On both sides of the road, tanks and military bulldozers on carriers headed to the southern and northern border.



At what would usually be rush hours, shopping centers in Acre and Nahariya were largely closed. Those few who were there to grab essentials in preparation for the coming days and weeks shopped quietly, without the usual bustle.



In Acre, the only active business was the grocery store, where dozens of people could be seen stocking up on food and essentials.


'It feels exactly like the Yom Kippur War.'

While most shoppers preferred not to talk, an elderly man from Kiryat Shmona said he had come to Acre to stay with his daughter.



“It feels exactly like the Yom Kippur War,” the man said to The Jerusalem Post. “There’s nothing to feel.”



While driving around Nahariya, rows upon rows of tanks and armored vehicles with soldiers perched on top lined up in ready to head north when needed.



A day later, the situation in the North continues to heat up. At least 15 rockets were fired from Lebanon, prompting IDF artillery fire toward Hezbollah observation posts.



Later in the evening, an anti-tank missile targeted an IDF vehicle near Avivim. In response, an IDF helicopter fired at another Hezbollah observation post.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced a “complete siege” on Gaza on Monday. The blockade includes a ban on the admission of food, water, electricity, and fuel. This move is seen as Israel’s retaliation against Hamas following their largest attack on the country in decades.



On Saturday, Israel officially declared a state of war as of 06:30 a.m. local time. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are grappling with an unprecedented level of aggression from Hamas, the militant group based in Gaza.



Approximately 3,000 rockets have been launched into Israeli territory, terrorists have infiltrated Israel’s borders, and civilians, including children and families, are under attack. The Israeli government has stated unequivocally that “Hamas will pay a heavy price for this inhumane attack against Israel.”



The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have initiated “Operation Swords of Iron”. This military operation aims to strike back at Hamas and protect Israeli citizens from further harm. The operation involves a coordinated effort between various branches of the IDF, including ground, air, and naval forces.


“We are setting up a complete siege of Gaza: No electricity, no food, no water, no gas. Everything is closed. We are fighting human animals. And we are acting accordingly,” Gallant said in a video statement.

The military blockade comes after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stark warning on Saturday to the Hamas terrorists and vowed to use “all the strength” of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to “destroy Hamas’s capabilities” following the terrorist attacks.



“We will destroy them and will forcefully avenge this dark day that they have forced on Israel and its citizens… All of the places which Hamas is deployed, hiding and operating in, that wicked city [Gaza], we will turn them into rubble,” Netanyahu said.



In a direct message to the residents of Gaza, the Prime Minister said, “Leave now because we will operate forcefully everywhere.” He revealed that the IDF is already “clearing the terrorists out of the last communities,” going “community by community, house by house,” to restore Israeli control.



“What Hamas will experience will be difficult and terrible … we are going to change the Middle East,” Netanyahu told officials from southern Israel on Sunday. “This is only the beginning … we are all with you and we will defeat them with force, enormous force.”

According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, at least 91 children were among the more than 590 individuals killed by the Israeli air strike on Monday morning. It was said that the airstrikes also injured almost 2,900 people.

Hamas Issues Statement to Gaza Residents following Warning of Impending Israeli Invasion: Do Not Evacuate from Areas About to be Targeted by Airstrikes

Hamas understands that it must present itself as the victor and victim in their war against Israel. On Saturday Hamas and Islamic Jihad stormed across the border into Israel, murdered at least 900 innocents, raped women, beheaded babies, burned children, killed Israeli soldiers and cut off their heads.



The evil barbarians targeted a music concert where they murdered 260 young adults, raped young women and took dozens of captives back to Gaza.



In response, Israel announced they will invade Gaza and eradicate the Hamas demons.


This prompted Hamas and the Islamic Jihad to order Palestinians in Gaza to stay put.



They want more Palestinians to die to further their cause. They know the Western media will prop them up. They need to be portrayed as victims in the media.

Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), which are currently waging the terror campaign against Israel, are calling on the residents of the Gaza Strip to ignore messages sent to them by Israel instructing them to evacuate areas that are about to be targeted in Israeli military strikes.



Ahead of airstrikes against targets belonging to the terror groups, and out of a desire to minimize civilian casualties, the Israel Defense Force (IDF) has been sending warning messages to the residents of the Gaza Strip urging them to evacuate areas that are about to be targeted in strikes. In response to these messages, media outlets operated by Hamas and PIJ have been instructing residents of the Gaza Strip not to heed these warnings and not to share them or forward them to others.



Several accounts affiliated with the terror groups have been sharing posts describing the Israeli messages as psychological warfare and claiming that the messages are being sent “randomly.”



Below are several examples of these posts published by Hamas and the PIJ.



Hamas: The Israeli Warnings Are “Psychological Warfare”



On October 10, 2023, the spokesperson department of Hamas’s interior ministry wrote on the ministry’s Telegram channel: “An important note: We repeat our call on the residents to ignore the voice messages being sent randomly by the occupation to their phones demanding that they leave their homes. Their goal is to arouse panic and fear as part of a psychological warfare [campaign] accompanying the occupation’s aggression against us.”[1]


Similar messages were posted by the “Home Front” Telegram channel, which also belongs to Hamas’s interior ministry. One, on October 8, read: “An important note: The occupation has been randomly sending audio and recorded messages to the phones of Gaza residents demanding that they leave their homes. We call on civilians to ignore such messages, which are aimed at arousing panic and fear and in the framework of a psychological warfare [campaign] accompanying the occupation’s aggression against our people.”[2]

Many Victims of Hamas Attack Were Left-Leaning Activists Who Supported Palestinians: Report

A number of people who were killed or kidnapped during Saturday’s barbaric Hamas terror attacks in Israel were left-wing activists who tried to show solidarity with the Palestinian people, according to a report.



The New York Times spoke to a number of people on the ground who had friends or family near the Gaza Strip when hordes of militant fighters launched a surprise attack over the weekend.



Rocket barrages started around 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning. What followed was an unprecedented invasion by land, sea and air.



Thousands were killed, wounded or kidnapped.



It remains unclear how many women were raped by their killers to kidnappers as Hamas terrorists inside Israel went from house to house killing the unarmed and setting fires.



However, according to the Times, some of the people who would become casualties of what is now a war between Israel and Hamas were sympathetic to their neighbors.



One of them is a 74-year-old woman named Vivian Silver who is believed to have been kidnapped after she tried and failed to hide from the militants in a closet.



According to the report, Silver was a member of a number of political organizations and was “left of center.”



A Canadian by birth, Silver reportedly visited Gaza to show support for the people living there and had referred to Israel as “an apartheid state.”



Yonatan Zeigen, Silver’s son, told an Israeli newspaper he last heard from her about four hours after the attack began and as gunfire was getting closer to her home.



Meanwhile, one of her friends on Facebook commented that she would be as concerned for people in Gaza as she would be for herself.



The Times reported a comment on her page reads, “[Vivian is] probably worried sick about the Palestinian contacts in her phone… She probably thinks of the danger they will now face for being seen as collaborators with the enemy.”



The far-left newspaper referred to other missing or killed left-wing activists near Gaza as “peace-oriented Israelis.”



One woman named Rachel Gur has been searching for missing people in the wake of this weekend’s attacks.



Gur told the Times that many Israelis who live near Gaza share left-wing politics.



“These are kibbutzniks, the people who vote for the left, who support coexistence,” Gur said. “You’re talking about the old time secular leftists, who want peace, who are against annexation.”



Meanwhile, a man the Times described as an Israeli “peace activist,” named Hayim Katsman was confirmed dead after it was presumed he was kidnapped.



More than 900 Israelis had been counted dead as of Tuesday from the surprise terror attacks, The Times of Israel reported.



It has also been reported that Hamas terrorists murdered 40 infants, some of whom were found beheaded.

A young Israeli woman is being hailed as a hero after her early action helped to save an entire kibbutz from being brutally killed by Hamas terrorists.



Inbal Lieberman, the security coordinator of Kibbutz Nir Am since December 2022, is being credited with leading a group of residents to kill more than two dozen oncoming terrorists, as well as killing five herself, the New York Post reported.



Lieberman reportedly heard explosions early Saturday morning when Hamas launched its horrific terrorist attack on Israel, Walla reported. She quickly assessed that the sounds were different from “the usual rocket attacks on the kibbutz,” which is situated near Sderot, close to the Gaza Strip, according to the report.

Lieberman then rushed to open the armory, passed out guns to a 12-member security team, and planned their response to the imminent Hamas attack.



“She placed her squad of kibbutzniks in strategic positions across the settlement and set up ambushes that caught the gunmen off guard and turned the tables on them during their mission to inflict mass casualties,” the Post reported.



Lieberman killed five terrorists on her own, while her security team took out at least 20 more over a period of four hours. Together, they “turned Nir Am into an impenetrable fortress, while nearby kibbutzim suffered heavy losses,” the Post reported, citing Walla News.



In a comment to the news outlet Israel Hayom, Ilit Paz, the cultural coordinator at Nir Am, said Lieberman’s leadership was “amazing” and that her husband “was part of the standby unit that worked to prevent more casualties.”



“They heard the shots and made contact on their own with other members of the standby unit and with Inbal — and they understood that they were told to be on standby,” Paz said. “But Inbal made a decision not to wait and jumped operationally. In fact, the fact that they did it early prevented dozens of casualties.”



A social media post from ILTV Israel contended Lieberman “will receive the Israel Prize…[w]hen it’s all over,” which is state’s highest cultural honor.



“The story of her heroism is a story that will enter the Israeli myth for generations,” the post reads. “Inbal is the reason that there is one kibbutz in the entire surrounding area that remains unscathed. Kibbutz Nir Am.”



Hamas launched the terror attack on Israel early Saturday and has thus far killed more than 1,100 and injured more than 3,400 people, according to reports. The attack occurred on the Jewish holiday of Shemini Atzeret, the last festival of the High Holy Day cycle.



More than 100 Israelis were also kidnapped to Gaza — including women, children, and the elderly, many of whom were abused during their abductions. The Palestinian terror attack against Israel has been referred to as the “worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.”



In response to the attack, the Israeli Airforce has struck at least 1,000 terror targets in Gaza. Israel has also mobilized 300,000 reservists in the past 48 hours, as its forces continue strikes against Hamas terror targets in Gaza.



National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan confirmed during a White House press conference Tuesday that at least 20 Americans are unaccounted for in Israel. He also confirmed that the number of Americans killed has risen to 14.

Iran’s Khamenei Threatens Israel with ‘Greater Disaster’ if It Defends Itself from Terror

Speaking at a graduation ceremony for Iranian military cadets on Tuesday, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei described the brutal Hamas terrorist attack on Saturday as an “irreparable defeat” for Israel.



He blamed the Israelis for bringing rape and murder upon themselves.



“The cause of this destructive storm was the continuous brutality and ferocity of the fake usurper regime against the Palestinian nation,” Khamenei said, as reported by Iran’s Tasnim news agency.



“This regime cannot conceal its monstrous and devious face in the attack on Gaza and the massacre of Gazans through the act of lying or by playing the victim. By speaking nonsense, it cannot attribute the bravery of the Palestinian youth and their intelligent plans to non-Palestinians,” he said, attempting to portray the cowardly Hamas murder of innocent women and children as some sort of bold military action conducted by “Palestinian youth.”

“From the military and intelligence aspects, this defeat is irreparable. It is a devastating earthquake. It is unlikely that the usurping regime will be able to use the help of the West to repair the deep impacts that this incident has left on its ruling structures,” Khamenei claimed.



Whatever else the Hamas atrocity accomplished, it cannot be said to have inflicted much damage on the “ruling structures” of Israel, unless some of the babies believed to have been decapitated by Khamenei’s beloved “Palestinian youth” were destined to become members of the Israeli government when they grew up.

Khamenei praised the Hamas terrorists as “mujahideen,” or holy warriors, and railed against the “brutal measures” taken by Israel against the “oppressed Palestinian nation.” He denounced the Israeli government as the most “shameless and cruel enemy” Muslims have ever faced.



The ayatollah dismissed criticism that Hamas slaughtered hundreds of innocent people, claiming their “innocence” was merely a creation of the “Global Arrogance” and its media. He threatened the Israelis with even worse consequences if they retaliate against the terrorists he supports.

“The rulers and decision-makers of the Zionist regime and their supporters should know that these actions will bring a greater disaster upon them, and the Palestinian people, with a firmer determination, will slap their hideous faces harder in response to these crimes,” Khamenei fumed.



Perhaps mindful that his own regime might not get away scot-free this time, Khamenei hastened to claim that Tehran wholeheartedly approves of the slaughter in Israel, but played no role in planning or executing it.



“Of course, we praise the minds and efforts of the Palestinian youth and the resourceful and intelligent Palestinian designers and are proud of them,” he burbled while denouncing allegations of Iranian involvement as “nonsense.”


Khamenei told the Iranian cadets that all Muslims should be prepared to take up arms and fight alongside the Palestinians, comparing their struggle to Iran’s long and bloody war against Saddam Hussein’s Iraq in the 1980s.



“In that difficult test, the armed forces defended every inch of the country and the sovereignty of the holy and dear Islam, and thwarted the collective conspiracy of the arrogant of the East and the West in defending the aggressor Saddam,” he said.



Khamenei further accused the U.S. and its allies of creating the Islamic State, which he referred to as “Daesh,” in a “wicked plot to disrupt the stability of the region.”


“The ultimate goal of this conspiracy was Islamic Iran, but the armed forces of the Islamic Republic, along with the armed forces of several other countries, thwarted that sedition as well,” he claimed. (For those confused about what he meant, Iranian mythology falsely holds that Tehran’s intervention to prop up the regime of Bashar Assad in Syria led to the decisive defeat of ISIS).



Khamenei took his bluster to Twitter on Tuesday morning, only to have an amusing encounter with the Israelis, who let him know that his regime is very much on their minds as they set about neutralizing Hamas and its sponsors.

“The heads of the Zionist regime and their backers should know that the massacre and mass murder of the people of Gaza will cause a larger calamity to come upon them,” Khamenei wrote.



“It’s easy to be brave when you’re hiding behind a keyboard,” the State of Israel’s official Twitter account responded. “You and your Hamas friends will regret your barbaric actions very soon.”

Black Lives Matter Organization Shows Support for Hamas Amid Terror Attack on Israe

Black Lives Matter Grassroots organization showed support for the Palestinian militant group Hamas on Tuesday as the terrorist group launched the deadliest attack on Jewish people since the Holocaust.



Black Lives Matter Grassroots, which represents 26 local BLM chapters across the country, issued a lengthy statement “in solidarity with the Palestinian people.”



Hamas launched a terror attack on Israel from Gaza over the weekend on the Jewish holiday of Shemini Atzeret, the final day of the annual High Holy Day cycle. The attack has resulted in over 900 deaths and at least 2,500 wounded, according to the latest reports. At least 11 Americans were also killed during the violent terror attacks.


The statement references the violent attacks on Israel as an understandable “desperate act of self-defense.”

“As the world is faced with deep questions about self-determination, as well all desire and pray for a world of peace, we must stand unwaveringly on the side of the oppressed,” the statement read. “When a people have been subject to decades of apartheid and unimaginable violence, their resistance must not be condemned, but understood as a desperate act of self-defense.”


The statement continued:



Black Lives Matter Grassroots stands in solidarity with our Palestinian family who are currently resisting 57 years of settler colonialism and apartheid. As Black people continue the fight to end militarism and mass incarcerations in our own communities, let us understand the resistance in Palestine as an attempt to tear down the gates of the world’s biggest open air prison.



The organization also recognized what it claims are “clear parallels between Black and Palestinian people.”



The statement also seemed to call on the United States to stop funding Israel.



“For lasting peace to come, the entire apartheid system must be dismantled,” BLM Grassroots said. “The war on the Palestinian people must cease. We call on the United States government to immediately stop funding war and redirect the $4 billion in annual spending to repair the damage caused by U.S.-backed wars, military air strikes, coups, and destabilizing interventions against oppressed people around the world.”



The Chicago chapter of Black Lives Matter also showed support for the Palestinian cause, posting a photo that reads, “I stand with Palestine.” The photo also featured a paraglider with the Palestinian flag, which is notable because Hamas gunmen paraglided into a music festival in Israel and attacked the attendees.

Black Lives Matter activists have a lengthy history of supporting Palestinian causes during times when Hamas has waged violent attacks on Israel.
