Columbia U. Hosts ‘Palestinian Counteroffensive’ Event Despite Claiming It Was Canceled
ALANA MASTRANGELO 7 Dec 2023 Columbia University’s School of Social Work proceeded with its “teach in” on the so-called “significance” of the October 7 terror attacks against Israel by Hamas, despite claiming that the event had been canceled. “Another smoldering heap of a university,” reacted X/Twitter user and internet personality Aviva Klompas, sharing a video footage from the “teach in.” “Columbia University stated that a planned student event to celebrate the October 7 ‘Palestinian Counteroffensive’ would not be permitted to take place,” Klompas added. “Yet here they are calling murder, rape, torture and kidnapping ‘great feats’ inside the @columbiassw building.” “No doubt the university will set to work investigating the context,” she added. Additional video footage from the “teach in” showed a student calling out its participants. “People in this school, from this group, have referred to my people as Zionist dogs,” the student declared. “Dogs, as far as I’m concerned, are animals. So I think it’s a little bit hypocritical for you to talk about a leader of another country [Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu] while you are participating in that same form of dehumanization.” Watch Below: “To characterize the events of October 7th as a ‘counter offensive,’ where my people were killed and maimed and yes, raped, whether you like it or not, whether it fits it’s your narrative, to characterize that as anything else but terrorism and a massacre is unacceptable from people who are studying to be social workers,” she added. As Breitbart News reported, the Columbia School of Social Work planned to host a “teach in” on Wednesday on the so-called “significance” of the October 7 terror attacks against Israel by Hamas, which the school has labeled as the “Palestinian Counteroffensive.” But after it was reported that this so-called teach in would be taking place at the university, Columbia University claimed the event was canceled. “The students who organized the event did not seek approval for the fliers and text as required by CSSW [Columbia of School Social Work] processes,” the school said. “CSSW supports free speech but does not condone language that promotes violence in any manner, which is antithetical to our values,” the school added. “This event will not go forward at CSSW,” the university affirmed. The event, however, did go forward, as ample evidence shows. link

Republicans of House Committee on Education Open Investigation of Harvard, MIT and Penn After Hearing on Anti-Semitism
By Mike LaChance Dec. 8, 2023 9:00 pm The congressional hearings on anti-Semitism in higher education this week were a disaster for Harvard, MIT and Penn. The presidents of these schools showed the nation how insane our college campuses have become in recent years. Now Republicans of the Committee on Education are opening a formal investigation into these schools. There is nothing these schools would love more than for this public relations nightmare to end and fade into history but this investigation ensures that isn’t going to happen. The public is going to learn even more about what is happening at these schools. Inside Higher Ed reports: House Education Panel to Investigate Harvard, Penn, MIT The House Education and Workforce Committee said Thursday that it would formally investigate Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the University of Pennsylvania for their recent responses to campus antisemitism—and warned that other inquiries could follow. North Carolina representative Virginia Foxx, the Republican chair of the committee, said in a statement Thursday that the testimony of the three institutions’ presidents at a hearing on antisemitism earlier this week was “absolutely unacceptable.” “Committee members have deep concerns with their leadership and their failure to take steps to provide Jewish students the safe learning environment they are due under law,” Foxx said. The committee is planning to investigate the “learning environment” at the three universities, along with their policies and disciplinary procedures. The probe will include “substantial document requests” and subpoenas. More from Hot Air: The three presidents have since tried to offer apologies for their refusal to unequivocally say that calling for the elimination of Israel and Jews during antisemitic demonstrations on campus breaches what is acceptable speech. The word frequently used by the presidents was “context.” They claimed that threats to Jews on campus had to be seen “in context” and not immediately called out. It was shocking to hear how they were so adamant in allowing such behavior. They would not say that calling for genocide was against institutional policy, despite being given many opportunities by committee members to do so during the hearing. Most of the criticism has gone to Harvard President Claudine Gay and Penn President Liz Magill. Major donors have pulled back on their pledges of financial contributions. One or more of these college presidents could be out of a job before this is over. As they should be. Their testimony this week was shocking and disgusting. link

President of CAIR Nihad Awad – Who Is a Joe Biden ‘Partner’ on ‘Anti-Semitism’ – Cheers Slaughter of 1,300 Jews in Southern Israel on Oct. 7 (VIDEO)
By Jim Hoft Dec. 8, 2023 8:00 pm CAIR President Nihad Awad cheers slaughter of 1,300 Jews by Hamas on Oct. 7. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) defines itself as a Muslim civil rights organization and advocacy group. In 2008 the FBI ruled CAIR an unindicted co-conspirator in the terror-finance trial against the Holy Land Foundation and its former officials. In recent years CAIR has been a leading voice in censoring and banning conservative voices on social media. And recently the Biden regime listed CAIR as a partner in fighting “anti-Semitism.” Then today MEMRI org released video of CAIR’s Executive Director Nihad Awad cheering the the October 7th slaughter of 1,300 Jews in southern Israel by Hamas. Nihad Awad: “The people of Gaza only decided to break the siege, the walls of the concentration camp, on October 7. And yes, I was happy to see people breaking the siege and throwing down the shackles of their own land and walk free into their land, which they were not allowed to walk i.” Here is the video. This is the group Joe Biden picked to help fight anti-Semitism! The Biden regime on Friday silently erased CAIR from its partner role in fighting anti-Semitism. link

Shots Fired at Jewish Synagogue by Man Who Shouted 'Free Palestine'
By Jack Davis December 9, 2023 at 3:02pm The man arrested after a shotgun was fired outside of an Albany, New York, synagogue hours before the start of Hanukkah on Thursday is being held without bail. Mufid Fawaz Alkhader, 28, was called a “danger to the community” during his Friday arraignment in U.S. District Court, according to The New York Times. Alkhader, a resident of Schenectady, is a U.S. citizen who was born in Iraq, according to the Albany Times-Union. Alkhader shouted “Free Palestine” during the incident, in which two rounds from a shotgun were fired outside of Temple Israel, Albany police said. He later told officials with the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco & Explosives that “events in the Middle East have impacted him,” according to a criminal complaint. Albany Police Chief Eric Hawkins said shell casings were located on the stairway at the synagogue’s front entrance of the synagogue. Hawkins said the building was not damaged, according to Newsweek. Police are investigating the incident as a hate crime, Hawkins said Alkhader told police he was feeling victimized. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said the incident took place “with at least two dozen children, preschoolers, who were on the premises,” according to the Times of Israel. Alkhader is being charged, for now, under federal law with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person due to his admission of marijuana use, the Times-Union reported. The incident took place as anti-Semitic incidents are on the rise due to the Israel-Hamas war. “After this press conference, we’re going to be lighting Hanukkah candles — because we need light in darkness,” Temple Israel Rabbi Wendy Love Anderson said. Related: University of Pennsylvania President Resigns from Her Post as Pressure Grows A statement from the Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York called for vigilance and courage. “During this time of rising antisemitism throughout our country and the world we encourage our community to be especially vigilant and aware of potential threats,” the statement said. “At the same time, we can not succumb to fear and intimidation and we must remain proud of our Jewish heritage and traditions.” “In these challenging times, our unwavering spirit shines as a beacon of hope, proving that even in the darkest of moments, our light remains undimmed,” Temple Israel posted on its Facebook page. link

Pro-Palestinian Protesters Target Synagogues, Vandalize Church in Los Angeles
JOEL B. POLLAK 9 Dec 2023 LOS ANGELES, California — Pro-Palestinian protesters vandalized buildings near synagogues, as well as a nearby church, with anti-Israel graffiti on Friday night after demonstrating against President Joe Biden at a nearby fundraiser on Friday night. As Breitbart News reported, the protesters gathered outside a fundraiser near Beverly Hills, waving signs that included “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” — a call for Israel to be destroyed. U.S. President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden plan to attend six fundraising events and meetings between them in the Los Angeles area over the weekend. More than 17,487 Palestinians, including more than 6,600 children, are reported to have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza since the Palestinian group Hamas attacked Israel, killing approximately 1,200 on October 7. After a several day cease fire to exchange hostages and prisoners, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have resumed its bombing and ground fighting, now intensifying in southern Gaza after weeks of warning people to flee there to escape Israeli bombing in the north. Some of them attacked police. The Los Angeles Times reported: Police declared an “unlawful assembly” at about 5:45 p.m, but [Holmby Park] wasn’t abandoned for another hour, when protesters spilled onto adjacent streets — marching near entrances to the Los Angeles Country Club on Comstock Avenue near Wilshire Boulevard. While some officers said they were hit with eggs and water by demonstrators, there were no reported injuries or arrests as of 7:45 p.m. Some walls along Wilshire were tagged with graffiti, and protesters blocked and delayed traffic at various points along the thoroughfare. The Times did not report that the “walls” that were vandalized were opposite synagogues. Walls opposite Sinai Temple and Sephardic Temple Tifereth Israel were vandalized with anti-Israel slogans. A public bus shelter opposite Sinai Temple was also vandalized with the slogan “Free Gaza”; it had not been cleaned up as of Saturday afternoon. In addition, nearby Westwood United Methodist Church was vandalized. Westwood United Methodist Church, the day after being vandalized by a pro-Palestinian mob on December 8, 2023. He said he had sympathy for the Palestinians, but that the protest had gone too far. “They are crying for their brothers and sisters, as they should — but there’s a line.” L.A. Mayor Karen Bass had not reacted to the antisemitic protest and vandalism as of 3:00 Saturday afternoon. link

Anti-Semitism in New York: Jewish Man Attacked and Beaten Outside His Home on First Night of Hanukkah
By David Greyson Dec. 10, 2023 4:20 pm A Jewish man was attacked and beaten in front of his home in New York on the first night of Hanukkah. Joshua Merenfeld, 40, was attacked on Friday night while standing outside in front of his apartment building in Crown Heights in Brooklyn. The father of five was enjoying his night and minding his own business when an unknown attacker approached him. He called him a “Dirty Jew,” then hit him repeatedly and stomped on him after he fell to the ground. During the attack, he continued to say more anti-Semitic words and profanities. New York Post reported: Why a Veteran-Owned Freeze-Dried Beef Company Unabashedly Embraces an America First Worldview A Jewish father of five was beaten in front of his own home as his attacker spewed antisemitic vitriol in Brooklyn on Friday — just a day before another man was robbed of his $2,500 traditional Jewish headpiece in the borough as antisemitism continues to rise across New York City. Joshua Merenfeld, 40, was dressed in Jewish religious garb and enjoying the first night of Hanukkah when an unknown assailant attacked him and snarled, “Dirty Jew” in the victim’s front yard in Crown Heights. “It was a real beating,” Merenfeld told NBC 4, noting that he was pummeled repeatedly, knocked over and stomped on. “Definitely doesn’t feel good to have this happen in your own front yard.” As Merenfeld was lying on the ground severly injured, the attacker stole his phone and took off. He was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries and released. Watch: According to the NYPD, the suspect (wearing a mask), was on camera while seen entering Kingston Ave and Eastern Parkway subway station. At this time, he has not been apprehended. There has been a major rise in antisemitism around the globe and the U.S. New York Post reported in November that there was a 214% increase in hate crimes against Jews in October of this year compared to the previous October in New York City. link

Truck Billboards Calling For University President Claudine Gay to be Fired Circle Harvard
By David Greyson Dec. 10, 2023 10:01 pm Billboard trucks were sent to Harvard’s New England Campus on Sunday demanding the university’s president Claudine Gay be fired. The trucks displayed Claudine Gay’s photo along with the words “Fire Gay.” Claudine Gay came under fire for dismissing the calls for genocide against the Jews to be a violation of the school’s code of conduct in front of the House Education Committee earlier this month. Gay was among the university presidents grilled by Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., regarding the rise of antisemitism on college campuses and the vocal calls of “intifada” during pro-Palestinian demonstrations. Stefanik asked Gay, “You understand that the use of the term intifada in the context of the Israeli-Arab conflict is indeed a call for violent armed resistance against the State of Israel, including violence against civilians and the genocide of Jews… And there have been multiple marches at Harvard with students chanting quote ‘There is only one solution, intifada revolution’ and quote ‘Globalize the intifada.’ Is that correct?” Gay responded, “I’ve heard that thoughtless, reckless and hateful language on our campus, yes,” calling it “abhorrent” and “hateful speech.” When specifically pressed on whether calls for “intifada,” direct support for the genocide of Jewish people, violated Harvard’s code of conduct, Gay weakly replied that it “depends on the context.” One truck circled the campus while a second one is at the main gate of the school showing her conversation with Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York earlier this week. A plane will also fly over the campus over the coming week saying “HARVARD-STOP JEW HATRED.” Fox News Reported: Billboard trucks demanding Harvard’s President Claudine Gay be fired were deployed to the New England campus on Sunday, Fox News Digital learned, just days after her controversial remarks to Congress regarding whether calls for the genocide of Jews breaks the school’s code of conduct. “FIRE GAY,” the privately-funded trucks read, accompanied by photos of Gay while she appeared before Congress last Tuesday. One of the trucks is circling the campus, while the other is positioned at the school’s main gate and blaring Gay’s exchange with Republican New York Rep. Elise Stefanik on Tuesday. The private funder running the billboard box truck campaign will also deploy a plane over campus this week with a banner reading, “HARVARD — STOP JEW HATRED,” Fox News Digital learned. The same tactic was used to put pressure on University of Pennsylvania President Elizabeth Magill. Billboard trucks drove around University of Pennsylvania with the words “Fire Liz.” The pressure that was put on her led to her resignation on Saturday. link

“Give Me Your Earrings, Jew!” – Elderly Jewish Couple Attacked Outside CA Synagogue with Belt
By David Greyson Dec. 11, 2023 4:20 pm A man attacked an elderly Jewish couple walking to their Synagogue in Beverly Hills, California on Saturday. Raphy, 75, and his wife Rebecca, 70 were approached by a man who used a belt to attack Raphy. The attacker yelled, “Give me your earrings Jew,” according to Rebecca. The victims did not want their last names used for protection. Raphy was treated at the scene for lacerations, and his wife was not injured. NBC News reported: A Jewish couple have spoken out after being targeted in an antisemitic attack and attempted robbery on their way to their local synagogue in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, on Saturday, in which they said a man screamed: “Give me your earrings, Jew.” Raphy, 75, and Rebecca, 70, told NBC LA in a video interview on Sunday that the attack had left them shocked and shaken but more determined to practice their faith in the face of rising antisemitism across the U.S. The couple asked for their second names not to be reported for fear of reprisals. “At first, it was a shock. There was a huge hard knock on my forehead here,” Raphy said pointing to his head. “And all of a sudden I saw the guy hitting my husband with a belt and screaming, ‘Give me your earrings, Jew,'” Rebecca recalled. Even with Raphy being hit on the forehead with the belt, that did not stop him from pursuing his attacker. Both of them chased the man and shortly after a police officer saw what happened. The officer arrested the man, identified as Jarris Jay Silagi, 44. He was booked on alleged charges including, elder abuse, attempted robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon. California also has a hate crime enhancement which could increase jail time if found guilty. Raphy was angrier about being attacked for being Jewish than for the injury itself. As a committed member of his Synagogue, even though he was attacked, he still went to the meeting for a reading of the Torah. Watch: Anti-Semitism has greatly increased since the Hamas attacks on Israel in October. TGP reported on Sunday of a New York Jewish man who was beaten in front of his home the first night of Hanukkah. IT’S COME TO THIS: Anti-Israel Students Protest Jerry Seinfeld Comedy Show in Syracuse, New York
By Mike LaChance Dec. 12, 2023 9:00 pm The radical, anti-Israel left on college campuses is completely out of control and getting worse. This week, multiple left-wing groups from Syracuse University in New York actually protested outside of a stand-up comedy show by American comedy giant Jerry Seinfeld, who is Jewish but non-political. Seinfeld has publicly stated that he will no longer perform on college campuses because so many students are offended by everything and do not like or appreciate comedy. These students are proving that he was absolutely right. The Daily Orange, an independent news outlet that is run by Syracuse students reported: Hundreds march for Palestine downtown, protest Jerry Seinfeld show Hundreds of people gathered in downtown Syracuse to rally in support of Palestine, calling for a cease-fire and protesting Jerry Seinfeld’s stand-up show Friday evening. The local “Shut It Down For Palestine” demonstration — organized by the Syracuse chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, the Syracuse Collective for Palestinian Liberation, the Resilient Indigenous Action Collective and the Syracuse chapter of the Party for Socialism and Liberation — was the latest of several similar pro-Palestine demonstrations on college campuses and in cities across the country following the start of the Israel-Hamas war. The protesters marched from Clinton Square down S. Salina Street to the Landmark Theatre, where Seinfeld’s stand-up show was scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. Seinfeld was one of over 700 Hollywood celebrities to sign an open letter in support of Israel following Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack… As people entered Landmark Theater for Seinfeld’s show, protestors stood outside. Police placed themselves between the two groups, forming a pathway for those looking to get inside the building while protestors chanted that Seinfeld was “complicit in genocide.” If these students want to make people hate them and everything they represent, they’re doing a great job. These left-wing fascist students are going to keep doing this until there are real consequences for it. link

Woman hospitalized after far-right member of Polish parliament extinguishes Chanukah menorah
They encircle me with words of hate; they attack me without cause. PSALMS 109:3 (THE ISRAEL BIBLE) DECEMBER 13, 2023 Awoman was rushed to hospital today after a far-right member of Poland’s Parliament, Grzegorz Braun injured her while using a fire extinguisher to put out Chanukah candles in the government building in Warsaw. Braun, known for his history of promoting antisemitic conspiracy theories and who has previously been accused of assault against a Holocaust historian, approached the holiday lamp in the parliamentary halls and sprayed it with a fire extinguisher, disrupting the ceremony. “Those who take part in acts of satanic worship should be ashamed,” he said to reporters in the room before taking to the podium in the parliamentary chamber and claiming that Chanukah is “satanic.” His antisemitic vandalism was an attempt to restore “normality,” he claimed. The incident occurred during a busy day in Parliament, where Poland’s incoming Prime Minister Donald Tusk presented his proposed government. Debates were underway ahead of a vote of confidence, which Tusk was expected to win comfortably. Braun has claimed that the “American empire here is the political and military tool of Jewish blackmail against Poland.” The local Chabad emissary, Rabbi Sholom Ber Stambler, who led the ceremony, attended with his wife, Dina Stambler. After the menorah-lighting, some attendees began digging into doughnuts and latkes, and Stambler and other men had gathered to pray in a nearby room. The festivities were swiftly interrupted by “a woman rushing in crying and trying to explain to us what was happening,” Stambler told JNS. “It took a few minutes for us to figure out what Braun had done, and then the evacuation of the building started.” Two of Stambler’s children—a 7- and an 11-year-old—were in the room when Braun sprayed the extinguisher. “He leaned over them to reach the menorah,” Stambler said. “They got some of the spray in their eyes.” “A woman in her 40s, who had a bad reaction to the extinguisher, has been rushed to hospital because of the fumes,” the rabbi told JNS. “She had been telling him to stop before she lost consciousness. We are praying for her.” In the wake of the incident, Szymon Hołownia, Speaker of the Sejm—the lower house of Poland’s Parliament— swiftly announced Braun’s expulsion from proceedings and declared his intent to report the matter to prosecutors. Rabbi Sholom Ber Stambler leads a candle-lighting ceremony that a far-right member of Poland’s Parliament, Grzegorz Braun, later disrupted by extinguishing the flames and injuring a woman, on Dec. 12, 2023. Credit: Chabad of Poland. Hołownia also announced the maximum possible punishment for Braun, the loss of half of his parliamentary salary for three months and his entire parliamentary allowance for six months. The entire parliament leadership supported the decision, except the Confederation party representative, Krzysztof Bosak, who abstained from the vote. Hołownia, a leader of Tusk’s incoming ruling coalition, called Braun’s actions and words “scandalous.” Tusk denounced Braun’s behavior as a “disgrace” and “unacceptable.” Piotr Gliński, a deputy leader of the outgoing ruling Law and Justice party, also condemned Braun for “crossing a terrible line.” Remarking on the response to the incident, Stambler suggested that “Braun obviously had dark intentions, but a small amount of light can put out a large amount of darkness.” “I see that people are already reacting with a lot of tolerance and solidarity and are embarrassed that this guy is in their parliament—this is the most important thing,” he said. “I think the speaker [Hołownia] is out to assure us that such a thing will never happen again.” Pinchas Goldschmidt, president of the Conference of European Rabbis, said in a statement that “Braun’s violent behavior, taking a fire extinguisher to deface and put out the Chanukah lights lit in the Sejm, is a shocking disgrace.” Videos at link

Police Investigate Antisemitic Attacks as Menorahs Smashed in LondonOLIVER JJ LANE16 Dec 20237 3:28 Hanukkah in London saw a series of antisemitic incidents, including members of the Jewish community abused at lighting ceremonies and menorahs vandalised in London neighborhoods. The Community Security Trust (CST), a British charity that supports the safety and security of the Jewish community has reported a series of attacks on the Hannukah festival over the past week in London, expressing its regret at the upswing in antisemitism since the Hamas terror attack against Israel this year. A public menorah in Queen’s Park, North London was smashed overnight Wednesday into Thursday, with the arms of the candelabra snapped off and bulbs smashed. A sticker proclaiming ‘Free Palestine’ was left on the remains, reports the Jewish Chronicle. The attack was the second on that menorah, which had been previously targeted days earlier, having its bulbs smashed then as well. The CST said of the vandalism: “This is a disgraceful attack on a symbol of Jewish life in London. Chanukah is a time of celebration of Jewish culture and history, and we will not allow this to intimidate or frighten our community. We call on any local residents who may have seen who did this to contact the police or CST.” A similar attack against the symbol took place in nearby Islington Green on the same night where a menorah was pulled town and broken into pieces at the park. London newspaper the Evening Standard reports Councillor Kaya Comer-Schwartz said: “We are utterly appalled at the attack on the menorah lights at Islington Green today. “The festival of Hanukkah is a celebration of light and joy. This horrific antisemitic attack is completely unacceptable and doesn’t reflect the Islington we know and love. Hate crime has no place in Islington and we will work with the Metropolitan Police to find the culprit of this attack.” The BBC states no arrests have been made over either incident but that the police believes the damage in both cases was deliberate. In central London’s prime business and shopping district, antisemitic expressions were more direct, with an event lighting a menorah attacked. The Times reports a statement by the CST that a ceremony on Oxford Street saw lasers pointed in the face of members of the Jewish community attending the event, hostile behavior and “unfriendly comments”, and attempts to blow out the lights. As previously reported one London borough decided not to have a menorah at all this Hanukkah, stating they believed to do so could provoke tensions. While the council insisted they were not antisemitic themselves, they feared erecting the menorah could “risk further inflaming tensions within our communities” because of “escalating tensions from the conflict in the Middle East”. The local government authority said there had been an “increase in the number of hate crimes in Havering, both towards the Jewish and Muslim community”, and having a menorah would “not be without risk to the council, our partners, staff and local residents.” The council said they feared vandalism “or other action”. A letter to the council by the London Jewish Forum in response to the decision said rising antisemitism is was a bad excuse to cancel the seasonal display. The letter read: “no one should be heard to suggest that the response of the Jewish community should be to hide away… instead, at such a difficult time our local Jewish community needs to see leadership from its civic leaders.” link

Facebook Hosts Ads Calling for Jewish People to Be Eliminated
Frank Bergman December 17, 2023 - 12:29 pm Meta’s Facebook and Instagram social media platforms have come under fire after it emerged that have been hosting ads that call for Israel and the Jewish people to be eliminated. According to a new report from The Telegraph, the ads use anti-Semitic slogans that call for the genocide of Jews. The social networks have run multiple adverts in the U.K. and Europe, some seen by hundreds of thousands of people, containing the phrase since the October 7th attacks. The adverts range from political statements to promotions for art, clothing, and jewelry seeking to capitalize on the phrase. Facebook, and Instagram’s parent company Meta said it did not ban the phrase outright but blocked adverts when the phrase was used in a way that violated its policies. The extended phrase, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” has been criticized by Israel’s supporters. It is widely regarded as an anti-Semitic phrase calling for the destruction of the Jewish people. The language has been banned by the online marketplace Etsy. Elon Musk has also said using it will lead to suspension from Twitter/X. Etsy banned the phrase last month, with an executive telling staff it had been co-opted by Hamas. Musk said the phrase “necessarily implies genocide” and is against X’s terms of service. One advert that ran on Meta’s platforms and was taken out by the Dutch political party Denk was seen more than 100,000 times, according to Meta’s online ad library. Others looking to sell goods to support Hamas received thousands of views. While several were removed, it was largely for not including disclaimers on who had paid for the ads, rather than their content. One advert from a Muslim clothing specialist that declared “the world is against the genocide in Palestine” was removed last week. The US House of Representatives recently censured a Democrat member partly over her use of the phrase “from the river to the sea.” Radical Democrat Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) repeatedly used the phrase which the House said was “widely recognized as a genocidal call to violence to destroy the state of Israel.” The UK government, meanwhile, has said the chant, used by pro-Hamas protesters, is “deeply offensive” to many. Mark Zuckerberg, Meta’s CEO, has been questioned over the company’s handling of anti-Semitic content. Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) wrote to Zuckerberg on Friday demanding more information on the company’s policies after reports that Instagram was restricting content and banning accounts with little warning. The company has also been warned by the EU to be “vigilant” about a rise in “hate speech” since the October 7 terror attacks and subsequent war in Gaza. link

Lincoln Memorial Steps Vandalized with Pro-Hamas Graffiti
Frank Bergman December 20, 2023 - 2:09 pm The steps leading up to the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. have been vandalized with red paint and pro-Hamas graffiti, authorities have revealed. The National Park Service is working to remove red paint and the words “Free Gaza” that appeared in multiple places around the area on Wednesday morning. “Vandalism was discovered in the area of Lincoln Memorial Circle and the Reflecting Pool,” the United States Park Police said in a statement. “National Park Service conservators have begun the process of removing the paint this morning, though it may take multiple treatments over several days to remove all of it,” Park Police added. “The steps on the west side of the Reflecting Pool are closed to visitors while the conservation work takes place.” Local news outlets captured images and videos showing workers washing and brushing away the red paint. It is not immediately clear who was behind the incident. According to Fox5 DC, anyone with information about it is urged to contact the United States Park Police. Numerous pro-Hamas protests have unfolded in Washington, D.C. since the terrorist group launched its surprise assault against Israel in October. Dozens of anti-Israel protesters were arrested on Tuesday after staging an illegal rally inside the Capitol Rotunda in Washington, D.C. The act was led by activist Linda Sarsour, according to reports. Last Monday, a protest calling for a “ceasefire” led to over 40 arrests at the Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill, Fox5 DC reported. The pro-Hamas protesters were illegally demonstrating inside the Congressional space, according to authorities. Just after 10 a.m., a Capitol spokesperson told Fox 5 that the demonstrators arrived, with one man even climbing a statue in the atrium, before being charged with resisting arrest. In November, police responded to the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee as pro-Hamas demonstrators grew violent. Leftist protesters, who were initially calling for an immediate “ceasefire,” eventually started demanding that Israel be eliminated. U.S. Capitol Police said about 150 people were “illegally and violently protesting” near the DNC headquarters building on Nov. 15. Police made arrests and USCP confirmed on X that six officers were injured during clashes with demonstrators. Authorities said that the officers suffered injuries ranging from minor cuts, pepper spray burns, or being punched by protesters who turned violent alongside peaceful protesters. One Democrat congressman who was in the building at the time later admitted that the leftist riot “scared me more” than Jan. 6. link

‘Christmas Is Cancelled’ Anti-Israel Activists Blockade London’s Busiest Shopping Street Ahead of ChristmasKURT ZINDULKA 23 Dec 2023 Anti-Israel activists shut down Christmas shopping on Oxford Street in London on Saturday and blockaded stores supposedly for supporting Israel’s war against Islamist Hamas terrorists in Gaza. Oxford Street, Britain’s most famous shopping street was blocked off by around 1,000 pro-Palestinian protesters on what is expected to be the busiest shopping day of the year, the day before Christmas Eve. Blocking off entrances to stores, activists were heard demanding that Christmas shoppers boycott “Israeli-linked” brands. According to GB News, leaflets given out by protesters said: “No Christmas as usual in a genocide. The UK is complicit. Don’t fund genocide in Palestine. Boycott Israel.” Storefronts for major brands including Omega, Italian leather goods company Furla, and the Spanish fashion brand Zara were all forced to close down during the protest. “Zara, Zara, you can’t hide, stop supporting genocide,” the activists reportedly chanted in apparent response to an advertising campaign earlier this month that drew controversy for supposedly using similar imagery from the war in Gaza, a charge the firm denied, stating that the ads were developed prior to the October 7th Hamas terror attacks on Israel. “While you’re shopping, bombs are dropping,” they reportedly chanted. The protest was organised by the radical feminist group Sisters Uncut, who proclaimed on social media: “NO BUSINESS AS USUAL AS PEOPLE ARE TRAPPED UNDER RUBBLE. CHRISTMAS IS CANCELLED.” According to The Telegraph, the genocidal refrain “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” was also heard at the demonstration. The phrase serves as a call to arms demanding the eradication of the state of Israel and its people from their ancestral homeland, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. The Metropolitan Police had a limited presence at the demonstration and did not make any arrests while shops were forced to close on Oxford Street, the Daily Mail reported. It is unclear if the police were made aware of the protest beforehand and if they were, why there was no effort made to keep the shopping street open. GB News political commentator Darren Grimes said in response to the latest anti-Israel protest: “Our capital city is under siege by these protests” “Shops are locking their doors on the most important piece of real estate all year,” Grimes added. Typically, December 23rd is one of the busiest days of shopping for Christmas in Britain, with UK shoppers spending nearly £1.6 million on the same day last year. link

Pro-Palestine Activists Disrupt Melbourne’s Carols by Candlelight Event While Kids Are Performing (VIDEO)
By Jim Hᴏft Dec. 24, 2023 12:00 pm Multiculturalism has led to a change in the way traditional Christmas celebrations are perceived and experienced within families. The festive spirit of Melbourne’s iconic Carols by Candlelight was briefly interrupted when a group of pro-Palestine/pro-Hamas demonstrators took to the stage during the live broadcast, raising their voices in protest against the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The event, which has run for 86 years, serves as a cherished prelude to Christmas day and raises funds for Vision Australia, supporting children with low or no vision. Around 8:15 pm on Christmas Eve, a sudden interruption occurred at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Activists carrying Palestinian flags took over the stage, creating a disturbance as they took control of the microphone to voice their message to the thousands of attendees, 9News reported. The children on stage were quickly guided off to safety following an unexpected interruption by Jew-haters and Hamas apologists carrying Palestinian flags. During the disruption at the event, an activist’s voice rang out, saying, “While you’re carolling, kids are dying in Gaza,” before being quickly silenced as her microphone was cut off. This prompted the event’s hosts, David Campbell and Sarah Abo, to immediately address the audience. “Everybody relax, settle down. Everyone’s allowed to have their – they’re allowed to have their moment, to have their time in the sun,” Campbell said. “But we did have kids here. So we want to make sure those kids are safe. They’re going to come back out in a second. It is a very hard time in this world. It’s a hard time, for us all to come together on a night like this too,” he added. The audience reacted to the activists’ intrusion with a mix of boos and unease. The security team acted swiftly to escort the protesters from the stage, which allowed the event to proceed as planned. WATCH: Following the incident at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, social media reactions were varied and intense. One comment read: “Socialists should be removed from the government and expelled from the country. Immigrants are starting to rule a country that is not their own? Immigrants will tell us what our country, our homeland should be like? They are the ones who are supposed to adapt to us and not us to them.” Another wrote, “This is the holiday you don’t mess with. I’m not religious, but messing with Christmas is a line that should not be crossed!… [My view of Christmas] consists of the ideas of appreciating and loving my family and friends. That’s it. The victors write the history, so we’ll just have to wait and see who’s becoming the content of the history books of tomorrow. Merry Christmas!” Another said, “And people thought they just hated Jews.” Another wrote, “All government sponsored. If they wanted it to stop, it would stop overnight.” “Yeah, let’s scare the kids performing on stage. What a bunch of morons,” another wrote. link

Pro-Palestinian Protest Disrupts Christmas in San Francisco: ‘No Xmas as Usual’
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA - DECEMBER 23: Pro-Palestinian demonstrators gather at Union Square for a ''Free Palestine'' rally to protest Israeli attacks on Gaza, day before Christmas in San Francisco, California, United States on December 23, 2023. (Photo by Tayfun Coskun/Anadolu via Getty Images)Tayfun Coskun/Anadolu via Getty JOEL B. POLLAK 24 Dec 2023 A group of pro-Palestinian demonstrators tried to disrupt Christmas weekend shopping in San Francisco’s Union Square on Saturday in the latest attack on the Christian holiday, seen by radical leftists as an example of bourgeois complacency. The San Francisco Chronicle reported: Hundreds of protesters gathered among holiday crowds in San Francisco’s central shopping district Saturday to call for an end to hostilities between Hamas and Israel, as well as for charges to be dropped against demonstrators who shut down the Bay Bridge last month. Chanting “free Palestine” and “cease-fire now” while holding yellow protest signs that read “No Xmas as usual in a genocide” and “DA Jenkins drop all charges on the Bay Bridge 78,” the protesters — many of them representing the Party for Socialism and Liberation — stood outside the former Westfield mall on Market Street as holiday shopping was underway with Christmas just two days away. By 1:30 p.m., protesters had blocked traffic on Market Street between Powell and Ellis streets. About 30 minutes later protesters marched down Market Street and confronted police, leading to the arrest of one demonstrator. It was not immediately clear why the protester was arrested. Later, protesters marched to Union Square and surrounded the Christmas tree and ice skating rink. The “Bay Bridge 78” refers to the 78 people who were arrested for blocking the San Francisco Bay Bridge last month during an anti-Israel protest. As Breitbart News later noted, that protest temporarily blocked a number of ambulances from delivering organs to waiting transplant patients. The Union Square protest is only the latest attempt by pro-Palestinian protesters to disrupt Christmas across the nation. Past efforts have included disrupting the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting in New York City, and forcing California’s state Christmas tree lighting to be moved indoors, to a “virtual” format. The San Francisco protest is also another blow to retail shopping in Union Square, which has been hit hard by crime and has seen a recent exodus of retailers. Update: The protesters removed ornaments from the Christmas tree in Union Square, causing it to shut off and possibly damaging it: link

'Christmas Is Canceled’: Pro-Palestinian Protesters Riot in New York, Block O’Hare in Chicago

POLLAK 25 Dec 2023 Pro-Palestinian protesters spent the weekend rioting, disrupting holiday travel, and targeting Christmas in general in an attempt to force Americans to listen to their concerns by causing them inconveniences, disturbing their holiday plans, and irritating them. In New York City on Monday, several hundred demonstrators carried a bloodied Nativity scene to Rockefeller Center. Some carried Islamic symbols. They chant ‘Christmas is canceled’ while carrying blood-red mock Nativity scene through New York City streets. The police arrest several protesters and use force while detaining. (Photo by Selcuk Acar/Anadolu via Getty Images) One man was heard on video evidently shouting “Jew!” at police. Update: Video emerged of pro-Palestinian activists vandalizing the Union Square Christmas market with anti-Israel graffiti, and even anti-police graffiti familiar from the Black Lives Matter movement: The New York Post reported: Hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters converged on Midtown Monday, lugging a blood-red mock Nativity scene and chanting “Christmas is canceled here.” “Long live the intifada,” the crowd of about 500 demonstrators yelled, using the Arabic word for “rebellion” or “uprising,” as they mobbed the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree where revelers were enjoying the holiday. At least six arrests — four for disorderly conduct, one for menacing and one for graffiti — were later reported near Grand Central Station and Union Square, as protesters and cops clashed, according to law enforcement sources. On Christmas Eve, a pro-Palestinian caravan of cars disrupted Christmas caroling in Washington Square Park, the Post reported. In Chicago on Christmas Eve, a group of pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel demonstrators targeted the homes of local lawmakers before briefly shutting down Interstate 90 — the key artery connecting Chicago to O’Hare International Airport — in both directions. Local Fox affiliate WFLD-32 reported: The caravan’s first stop was at Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky’s home in Evanston, according to the group’s Instagram page. Protesters then went to U.S. Senator Dick Durbin’s home in Chicago, shouting chants of “Long live Palestine!” … For the third stop, the caravan went toward O’Hare International Airport and disrupted traffic on I-190 and Manheim Road. Both sides of the roadway were temporarily shut down and traffic was at a standstill. The disruptions even reached suburban Memphis, Tennessee, where a pro-Palestinian crowd disrupted Christmas shopping. Pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel demonstrators have been targeting Christmas, and symbols of Christianity, for weeks — though some tried to argue that Christmas has “Palestinian” origins, since Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem, which is today administered by the Palestinian Authority. Jesus was a Jew and the name “Palestinian” was not in common use to describe the area until more than a century later. The Palestinian Arabs themselves did not adopt “Palestinian” as their identity until the latter half of the 20th century; prior to 1948, the term “Palestinian” typically referred to a Jewish resident of the British Mandate of Palestine. link

Pro-Palestinian Protesters Assail Homes of Biden Officials on Christmas DayBRADLEY JAYE 25 Dec 2023 Pro-Palestinian protesters converged on the homes of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan on Christmas Day. “Austin, we are at your gate, justice is our only fate,” the protesters chanted at the home of the defense secretary. “Austin, Austin, rise and shine, no sleep during genocide!” they chanted in another video. The October 7 terrorist attack by Hamas forces killed an estimated 1,200 people in Israel. The terrorist group continues to hold hostages inside Gaza where Hamas all but has free reign to operate. Nonetheless, protesters called for Israel to end military action against the terrorist organization. “The people are occupied, resistance is justified,” the protesters chanted at Sullivan’s New York home, continuing, “there is only one solution,” in reference to a ceasefire. Protesters were heard chanting, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” widely understood to be a call to genocide of the Jewish people. Radical pro-Palestinian demonstrations have developed a tactic this holiday season, targeting Christmas tree lightings across the country as well as other Christian and Jewish symbols and institutions. Pro-Palestinian demonstrators have held countless protests throughout the world, even holding multiple protests on U.S. Capitol grounds, including inside a House office building where dozens were arrested for illegally protesting. The House censured Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), a Palestinian-American with a long history of antisemitic remarks, partly for her suspected role in orchestrating that illegal protest. Austin has warned Israel against being too aggressive in responding to the unprovoked terror attacks of October 7 and has even gone so far as saying the war should lead to a two-state solution. link

DISGUSTING: Hundreds of Pro-Hamas Losers Shut Down Entrance to the WORLD TRADE CENTER While Shouting Sick Slogans Including “Allahu Akbar!” and “Mobilize the Intifada!” (VIDEO)
By Cullen Linebarger Dec. 28, 2023 7:30 pm Hundreds of pro-Hamas agitators shut down the entrance to the World Trade Center, the site of the 9/11 attacks after they gathered in Zuccotti Park for the “Flood NYC for Palestine” protest Thursday evening. This disgraceful event comes just one day after pro-Hamas agitators shut down roads to both Los Angeles International Airport and New York’s JFK Airport, as the Gateway Pundit reported. In one video, the terrorist sympathizers in masks are waving Palestine flags and chanting, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!” and “Free Palestine.” These phrases are calls to wipe Israel off the map. WATCH: Skyrocketing Food Prices Are Prompting Many Americans to Stock Up on Long-Term Storage Beef Other videos captured at the site show them holding signs such as “Genocide Joe Has Got To Go.” Yes, Biden is not anti-Israel enough for these brats’ liking. Police officers are seen guarding the entrance to prevent the protesters from entering. Recall the NYPD played a heroic role in the aftermath of the attacks, even at the cost of deleterious long-term health effects. What could be going through their minds as Americans openly celebrate the actions of radical Islamists? The news gets more disgusting, however. Some protesters were also heard shouting “Allahu Akbar” and “mobilize the intifada.” The former is what was likely heard as the planes crashed into the towers on 9/11/01. It’s hard to imagine that 22 years ago, we would see Americans celebrating an evil ideology (Islamism) that inspired the worst attack in our nation’s history. link

Police Bring Coffee to Anti-Israel Protesters ‘Blockading’ Toronto Jewish SuburbJOEL B. POLLAK 7 Jan 2024 Police in Toronto, Canada, were filmed Saturday bringing coffee to anti-Israel protesters who blocked a road in a predominantly Jewish residential neighborhood. The protest took place on the Avenue Road Bridge of Highway 401, closing a major access point to Armour Heights. Police shut down the junction. The supportive attitude of police shocked critics who noted that the demonstrators appeared to be trying to intimidate Canadian Jews on the Jewish Sabbath. It was also sharp contrast to the behavior of police during truckers’ protests two years ago, when protesters were arrested and their supporters’ bank accounts were often frozen. “They’re blockading a Jewish neighborhood, and it’s not the Hamas thugs that’ll stop you — it’s the cops,” noted Rebel News editor Ezra Levant. Toronto, like other cities in North America, has been hit by anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian protests that have shut down major local roads. On Saturday, for example, a group of protesters in Seattle, Washington, shut down Interstate 5 — a major coastal highway — in the center of the city. There, too, police decided against taking action. The Seattle Times reported: A blockade of cars and protesters standing on the freeway, joined by hundreds more people gathered on nearby overpasses, halted northbound lanes of I-5 between Interstate 90 and Mercer Street, causing a 6-mile backup. Organizers and attendees said they were protesting to draw attention to the increasingly dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza and to decry American support for Israel’s military campaign. Some held a banner that called on Washington Sen. Patty Murray, who chairs the Senate Appropriations Committee, to support a cease-fire. … As demonstrators blocked freeway traffic Saturday, Seattle police and the Washington State Patrol descended onto I-5, but they did not move in to physically disperse the group or make arrests. However, the Toronto protest specifically appears to have targeted the Jewish community — and saw a unique level of support for the demonstrators by members of law enforcement. A Jewish-owned grocery store in Toronto was set on fire last week in an apparent antisemitic attack. link

LA National Cemetery Defaced in Anti-Israel Protest, City-Wide Disruptions Follow
By: BNN Correspondents Published: January 7, 2024 at 9:37 pm EST | Updated: Jan 7, 2024 at 9:57 pm EST The tranquility of the Los Angeles National Cemetery, the eternal resting place for around 85,000 soldiers who served in World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and other conflicts, was shattered on a Sunday afternoon. A wave of protestors, carrying anti-Israel sentiments, descended upon the cemetery in Westwood, Los Angeles, defacing the entrance with spray-painted signs, an act that has drawn attention for its sheer audacity and disrespect. The Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles experienced a surge of activity as hundreds of protestors gathered, voicing their opposition to the Biden Administration’s cooperation with Israel amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East. The demonstration, while primarily targeting U.S. foreign policy, took a disturbing turn when some individuals chose to deface the Los Angeles National Cemetery. Targeting the Veterans Administration Cemetery As the protest escalated, the entrance to the Veterans Administration cemetery became a canvas for the protestors’ ire. Signs at the cemetery’s entrance were spray-painted, marring the solemn dignity of the site. The act of vandalism on this military cemetery, known for honoring U.S. military veterans, has drawn strong criticism, with many viewing it as an affront to those who served their country. The protest didn’t just disrupt the serenity of the cemetery. It also caused a significant disruption to traffic in the city. Wilshire Boulevard, a major thoroughfare in Los Angeles, was shut down as protestors took to the streets, effectively paralyzing the flow of vehicles. link

More Than 300 Pro-Palestinian Protesters Arrested for Blocking NYC Bridges, Holland TunnelOLIVIA RONDEAU 8 Jan 2024 A massive mob of anti-Israel protesters took over three New York City bridges and Manhattan’s Holland Tunnel, leading to more than 300 arrests Monday morning. The swarm of “Shut it Down for Palestine” demonstrators rallied through City Hall Park before descending upon the tunnel, as well as the Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and Manhattan Bridges. Footage obtained by BreakThrough News shows members of the group standing, sitting, and holding banners across the roadways. “You’re disrupting traffic, idiots!” one driver yelled as he was blocked in by the protesters at an intersection at the Williamsburg Bridge. “You can’t do that! It’s against the law,” he shouted, as another man recording the incident yelled, “Hit ’em all! Run ’em over!” The driver then got out of his vehicle, shoved three of the protesters, and warned them to stay away from his car as he screamed, “I have a daughter in Brooklyn! … I have to get home!” Eventually, the group of demonstrators backed off. A local ABC affiliate reported that the New Jersey-bound lanes of the Holland Tunnel were blocked off by the protesters, leading to Port Authority police arresting 120 protesters and reopening the tunnel just after 10:30 a.m. After the arrests began, the swarm chanted, “NYPD, KKK, IDF, they’re all the same!” comparing the New York City Police Department (NYPD) and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to the Ku Klux Klan (KKK). At least 40 demonstrators took over the Brooklyn Bridge around 10:00 a.m., according to the New York Post. Police descended upon the bridge, with some having to saw through the protesters’ chains. As police lined up cuffed demonstrators to be transported via bus, they chanted, “Out of Syria, out of Iraq, out of Palestine, don’t come back.” More footage obtained by BreakThrough News shows the NYPD carrying out mass arrests on the Manhattan Bridge as well. The Brooklyn Bridge reopened to traffic shortly before 11:00 a.m., while the Manhattan and Williamsburg Bridges reopened around 11:30 a.m., according to ABC7NY. In total, more than 330 people were arrested in connection to the demonstrations, and many will likely face misdemeanor charges with desk appearance tickets. link

Pro-Palestinian Agitators Flood State Capitol, Shutting Down Legislature's Opening Session
By Warner Todd Huston January 10, 2024 at 6:36pm A large group of pro-Palestinian protesters invaded the Colorado State Capitol and shut down the legislature on the first day of session Wednesday in what can only be called an act of insurrection. As the session kicked off, at around 10:40 a.m. a group of loud protesters waded into the capitol, causing lawmakers to throw up their hands over the disruption. The disruption caused an exasperated Sen. Julie Gonzales to cry that lawmakers “don’t have the time to waste.” “We don’t have time to fritter. We may not able to agree on everything, but we need to be able to have the conversations,” the senator added, according to The Gazette. Republican lawmakers reportedly began yelling back at the protesters before the session was halted to give officials time to clear the protesters over “safety concerns,” according to The Denver Post. After the House gallery was cleared, the anti-Israel protesters continued protesting inside the Capitol building, the paper reported. The 100 members of the Colorado General Assembly returned to the chamber after the disruption came to an end. The disruption barely made a blip on the national media’s radar, though, and many wondered why it was OK for pro-terror supporters to shut down the lawful business of a state legislature without being pegged as insurrectionists. Many of these commenters are correct, though. Nothing at all will be done with these protesters who invaded the halls of a legislature and shut down the people’s business. These protesters will be wholly ignored by Colorado authorities, of that you can be certain. Indeed, we have seen these pro-Hamas supporters shutting down all manner of events, from Christmas-tree lightings to parades and many other public ceremonies, all in an effort to push the Hamas agenda to commit genocide against Israel. And authorities have done practically nothing in nearly every case. In fact, in at least one case, Canadian police were sent on a coffee run for the protesters. In other cases, it was left to regular folks to respond to the shutdowns. But we all know why. It is because the anti-Israel protesters are the “right kind” of protesters. link
