Mass Murder Merger: Petraeus Moves to CIA

The elite have once gain shuffled the deck. This time the consummate bureaucrat and insider Leon Panetta moves to the Defense Department and Gen. David Petraeus sets sail for the CIA.
But the move is more than a game of musical chairs. Petraeus will manage the next phase of the so-called war on terror.
As Jack D. Douglas notes for LewRockwell.com, Petraeus “has become the official head of the CIA to consolidate the Murder Black Ops of the CIA with those of the military forces. The Murder Drone Ops are being very rapidly expanded into a worldwide Murder and Invasion Special Ops Force.”
In addition to killing civilians designated al-Qaeda terrorists in Pakistan’s unruly tribal area, the Drone Ops are moving into Yemen and Somalia. The corporate media, reading their Pentagon scripts closely, have described this as Obama’s bold new anti-terror policy following the unsubstantiated but widely accepted (by the corporate media) assassination of the dialysis patient Osama bin Laden.
“The Obama administration’s increased focus on Somalia comes as the White House has unveiled a new strategy to battle al-Qaida in the post-Osama bin Laden era, and as some U.S. military and intelligence officials view al-Qaida affiliates in Yemen and Somalia as a greater threat to the United States than the group of operatives in Pakistan who have been barraged with hundreds of drone strikes directed by the CIA in recent years,” the Grand Master of establishment propaganda, the New York Times, reported last week.
Al-Qaeda in Yemen is allegedly run by American citizen and Pentagon dinner guest, Anwar Awlaki. He has successfully managed a number of remarkably incompetent patsies and drooling idiots who are portrayed as al-Qaeda’s ominous shock troops.
Yemen represents an important landmark in the evolving war on cave dwellers and other largely mythical enemies of the empire. In 2010, it was announced and subsequently ignored by the establishment media that the CIA would gain control over Special Forces. The public relations effort announcing the CIA’s operational control over elite special forces was rolled out in October.
The CIA has moved into the military operations arena and needs a Pentagon big shot like Petraeus to run the show. Covert military action will now compliment the rest of the CIA’s noxious palette – targeted assassinations, torture dungeons, snatch and grabs, and its well-documented (and lauded by the establishment media) drone attack campaign.
In addition, the terror agenda will increasingly be farmed out to corporations like Blackwater (now Xe Services) and DynCrop, both operating in Pakistan, as former Sec. Def. Gates (who was also a CIA director) admitted earlier this year.
Blackwater works with the Pentagon’s Joint Special Operations Command out of the Pakistani port city of Karachi, according to a report by Jeremy Scahill. Elite commandos are used in targeted assassinations of alleged Taliban and al-Qaeda types and conduct snatch-and-grab operations. A former senior executive at Blackwater confirmed a military intelligence source’s claim that the company is working in Pakistan for the CIA and JSOC, according to Scahill.
During the Bush regime, the JSOC acted as a “virtual stand-alone operation that acted outside the military chain of command,” Scahill writes.
Gates’ frank admission about the relationship with private contractors was generally ignored by a corporate media that wasted little time previously reporting on fictitious aluminum tubes and terrorist weather balloons in Iraq.
Obama was specifically selected in part to put a kinder and gentler public face on the planned escalation of remote joystick murder.
Upon assuming the throne, he wasted little time “authorizing” more attacks against the sovereign state of Pakistan. Obama ordered his first drone strike against Pakistan just 72 hours after being sworn in as chief teleprompter reader. Bush used drone strikes 45 times in his eight years as president. In Obama’s first year in office, drones were sent to kill 53 times.
As Petraeus’ Senate confirmation revealed, he is the darling of the political establishment, so much so his name is thrown around as a possible presidential candidate. In addition to expanding drone ops into Africa and beyond, he will manage the CIA’s paramilitary-intelligence missions that will rush in to fill the void left by the departure of some troops from Iraq and Afghanistan.
I say “some” troops because the U.S. has no intention of leaving Afghanistan and Iraq. Soon after Obama was elected with hysterical jubilation by a masterfully bamboozled public, Patraeus announced Obama’s strategy. “There’s no timeline, no ramp, nothing like that,” he told Fox News in late 2009. Bush era retread Gates characterized the process as a transition, not a departure.
“U.S. military leaders are working to replace some of the exiting American conventional forces from Afghanistan with a ‘mini-surge’ of U.S. Special Forces, a measure to soothe commanders’ fears that the withdrawal of troops might put at risk military gains,” Stars and Stripes reported earlier this month. “Defense analysts have said of late that the reduction of conventional troops likely will place a heavier burden on clandestine units, such as SEALs, and Army Rangers and Green Berets.”

The worldwide Murder and Invasion Special Ops Force will be tucked away, out of the sight of the American people and congressional oversight, and run by Gen. David Petraeus, who excelled at counterinsurgency.
Moving so-called anti-terror ops into the darkness afforded by the CIA is not mistake. Congress has complained for decades about the refusal of the agency to allow oversight of its operations by the American people. Its budget is secret and augmented by a global narcotics trade.
“We also have to work, though, sort of the dark side, if you will,” Dick Cheney said a few days after the false flag attacks of September 11, 2001. “We’ve got to spend time in the shadows in the intelligence world. A lot of what needs to be done here will have to be done quietly, without any discussion, using sources and methods that are available to our intelligence agencies, if we’re going to be successful. That’s the world these folks operate in, and so it’s going to be vital for us to use any means at our disposal, basically, to achieve our objective.”
Petraeus will office manage that dark transformation.
