Protesters demonstrated against the draft of ultra-Orthodox yeshiva students in Jerusalem on Sunday night, Israeli media reported.
Protesters attacked Construction and Housing Minister Yitzhak Goldknopf, surrounding his car and preventing him from driving back home, Israeli media noted.
Additionally, former health minister Ya'acov Litzman, who was also passing through the area, had rocks thrown at his car. Following the incident, he was quoted stating, "I'm find, I was saved by a miracle. The car left."
Police worked to quell demonstrators and prevent further rocks or objects thrown at him.
Police officer injured by protests
As a result, a police officer was lightly injured when a rock was thrown at her head, though media reports stated that she did not require medical treatment.
Demonstrators also reportedly burnt trash cans in violation of the law, and police officers worked to disperse the protesters.

Many members of the ultra-Orthodox sector protested last week's High Court decision that ruled that there is no legal basis that allows for yeshiva students not to be drafted into the IDF, meaning that yeshiva students must be drafted immediately.
