Anchorage: Rare May Snow Could Rank in Top Five A snowstorm expected to hit Anchorage, Alaska, Friday night could put this May into the top-five snowiest of all time. "Rain will change to snow Friday night, piling up 1 to 3 inches of snow for Anchorage," Senior Meteorologist Dave Samuhel said.
