There are a number of people I've been praying for for a long time; one in particular (a secular humanist, atheist cousin who was raised Catholic) often came to my mind. I've shared the Gospel with her, telling her my testimony (Her reaction was basically, "Thanks, but no thanks.") and sending her books like More Than a Carpenter and The Case For Christ. I never preached or lectured - just put the truth in front of her.
Lately I've felt as if I shouldn't bother praying for her anymore - don't know if it's the Holy Spirit, or Satan....I do know that the Holy Spirit never allowed me to pray for another particular person before, and would stop me before I'd even start. (I did send the person a tract anonymously though; he has no excuse.)
What would you do in my position? Would you just "Let go and let God," knowing that many prayers have been offered for this person already and that He heard them, or would you continue despite a strong feeling that it's a waste of time?

I think we continue to pray for them, but not to continue trying so hard to get them to believe the gospel once planted, the seed, its Gods will if it shall grow. Here is a good verse in Timothy: 1Ti 2:1 ¶ I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men; 1Ti 2:2 For kings, and [for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 1Ti 2:3 For this [is] good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 1Ti 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 1Ti 2:5 For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
