What are your favorite stores to shop at?

I'm thinking of clothing, specifically....I love pretty clothes! ;D
Years ago, when I made big bucks, I shopped at Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor, and Bloomie's. There was a saleslady at Saks who would drop everything and come running when she saw me, because she knew she'd get a nice big commission on me. I can't believe the amount of money I didn't think twice about spending for a single blouse or suit! It's one thing if you wear your clothes a lot, but most clothing items I own are worn only a few times.
I still love shopping, but out of necessity I've learned to be more careful of what I spend. I love places like TJ Maxx, Ross, Marshall's, and Beall's Outlet, especially if I just "feel like buying something." They're like a treasure hunt; sometimes you go in and see nothing of interest; other times you have a cartload of stuff. ;D If I need a specific something I'll try Kohl's.
As far as top designer names, I still like them - but won't pay those prices. I shop on eBay for things like that; one of my scores was a $450 pair of Ferragamo boots for $25 and change! ;D I have one seller who sells a lot of NWT Chico's, and one who has fabulous sweaters.
I despise stores like JC Penney; the clothing is poor quality, they have no respect for their employees, and I can't stand their pricing practices: they'll mark something at least twice what it's really worth, then take 40-50% off and say it's a big sale. Poor Mr. Penney would be spinning in his grave if he saw how the company that bears his name turned out - he was an honest Christian man who cared both for the people who worked for him and for his customers.
What about the rest of you? What store can't you do without?
