Almond Scones
3 cups flour 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 cup butter 1 Tbs. almond extract 1/2 cup half & half 1/4 cup sliced almonds
Mix all dry ingredients, then cut in butter to make coarse crumbs. Add almond extract and half & half. Form mixture into a round shape on a floured surface and roll to about 1 1/2" thickness.
Use a cutter to make 8-10 scones. Place on baking sheet, brush with milk, sprinkle with sugar and top with sliced almonds.
Bake for about 25 minutes at 350 until golden.
