I went to renew my license and the question on gender has as choices male, female, and other. I was gobsmacked; what on earth has this world come to?

Should of asked them what it other stood for aliens, half this and that. Are you expecting as in the days of noah?  |

I can understand the male/female part for ID purposes, but if someone doesn't know what the heck they are, why does the DMV need to know?
Maybe the question should be amended to:
I have (a) what are considered male parts (b) what are considered female parts. ;D
