However, the article did not address how they would get to the other worlds to spread the gospel. The "Weekly World News" first broke the story in 2004 that the priests were going to Mars and beyond and that the Vatican University's Alfonse Academy contained a secret Unidentified Flying Objects section. Everyone, it seems, (and I don't mean conspiracy people) is jumping on the bandwagon of saying that the will not only welcome space aliens, but that we should have a plan in place to welcome them and integrate them into our society. But why, and why now? Readers of Scripture on this site know very well that God has a plan for the end times that will include copious supernatural phenomena, so it only makes sense that the Devil has his plan place as well, complete with false 'miracles, signs and wonders'.
The upcoming movie "Skyline" takes a swipe at bible-believing Christians who are looking for the promised Rapture of the church to occur.
"The teaser trailer for Skyline directed by Colin and Greg Stause looks like a big budget, CGI heavy alien invasion movie set in and above Los Angeles. The trailer starts with the warning by Stephen Hawking about not talking to the aliens. The trailer ends with a weird, horrible version of the Rapture, only with alien space ships and not the hand of God, and the destination not likely to be Heaven." source - Associated Content
So now we have the biblical doctrine of the Rapture, but instead of God's Rapture it is the Devil's rapture conducted at the hands of aliens. So much effort be expended to get people to 'believe in aliens'.
