NY Times Sets Up Putin Peace Plan For Failure

The announcement by Secretary of State John Kerry and the Russian foreign minister, Sergey V. Lavrov, set the stage for one of the most challenging undertakings in the history of arms control.
Workers under the supervision of United Nations inspectors in 1996 destroyed growth media that could be used to produce biological weapons in Iraq.
NY Times: If History Is Any Measure, the Clock Is Ticking

Weapons experts and diplomats say that if President Bashar al-Assad is serious about giving up his arsenal, he will have to take dramatic action in the coming weeks.
REBUTTAL BY
The official line, as always defined by “the paper of record”, is now very clear – Syria and Russia cannot be trusted and we will be back to the brink of war within in a few months. Note the deliberately pessimistic language of the not one, but two, front page stories in today’s Times; “one of the most challenging undertakings in the history of arms control”, and “the clock is ticking”, and “if President Bashar al-Assad is serious about giving up his arsenal, he will have to take dramatic action in the coming weeks.”
The Putin Peace Plan is obviously being set up for public ridicule and ultimate failure. If President Al Assad were to literally melt down every weapon in Syria’s military arsenal, including hand guns, it still wouldn’t be good enough for The Times and the Globo-Zionist crime gang. They would then complain about the dangers of Syrian bows and arrows! This negative tone is a sure sign that the U.S. / Israel Axis of Evil will soon be accusing Russia and Syria of cheating. Obongo and his henchmen can then return to the world stage and whine about how hard they tried to “give diplomacy a chance.”
Putin’s strong diplomacy (backed by the threat of force), combined with overwhelming public opposition, forced Obongo to back down. But Evil never sleeps. It only changes its tactics. In a sense, the situation is perhaps more dangerous now than it was one week ago. The U.S. now understands that when it returns to the brink of war, it will have to bring a whole lot more firepower to the arena if they want to confront Russia, China, and Iran.
Meanwhile, on the political front, as the temporarily awakened American people return to their slumber, the Israel Lobby (AIPAC) will continue to bribe and blackmail all those wavering Congressmen it carries around in its hip pockets like so many nickels and dimes. Next time around, they too will have an excuse for supporting Obongo’s war.
This ain’t over folks. Not by a longshot.
