Exclusive: Lord Monckton give GOP talking point for media's questions

Electorally, Mr. Obama – known to his staff as “black Jesus” – has three advantages. First is a rapidly growing population (whether legal or illegal) that, like him, does not possess Anglo pigmentation. No small fraction of the votes he gets are cast on racial grounds.
Secondly, he has an acquiescent Congress, in which his cowed Republican opponents do little to face him down because they are terrified of the vindictive and relentless campaigns of personal vilification the left now routinely direct at those whom they regard as their most effective enemies.
Thirdly, he has the fawning adulation of the Marxstream news media. He knows he can rely on them to bat for him without even being asked. These creatures are increasingly abandoning any pretense at impartiality. Instead, they fail to ask him any of the most obvious questions that true and independent journalists would ask.
For instance: “Mr. Obama, why is it that for many years your publishers circulated, with your knowledge, a bio including a prominent statement that you were born in Kenya, when you only began to say you were born in Hawaii shortly before you ran for president?”
But the Martini Marxists of the once-mainstream media are now going one better than failing to ask Mr Obama the question prosecutors will be asking him in due course. Instead, they are increasingly prone to ask carefully contrived questions of his opponents that are calculated to create an instant news story with a shameless pro-left bias whatever answer is given to the questions, and even if no answer at all is given.
The latest instance of this disreputable technique is the spate of questions now being directed at GOP members of Congress about whether there are any plans to impeach Mr. Obama.
There are plenty of grounds for impeachment. Mr. Obama lied about Benghazi. He lied about illegal aliens. He lied about Soetero”care.” He lied about the climate. He lied about his “birth certificate.” For it is the defining characteristic of today’s left that they neither know nor care about the notion of absolute truth. The Party Line is the only “truth” they proclaim.
So the scribblers of the left have been asking GOP congressmen bogus questions to which the answers are entirely unimportant. Falsely setting up artificial “news stories” intended to help Mr. Obama is the sole objective of these sham questions.
The media are reporting – on no evidence – that the GOP have immediate plans to impeach Mr. Obama. According to Rush Limbaugh, CNN carried a headline Monday that said: “GOP wants to impeach Obama.”
Truth is, the GOP has no immediate plans to impeach Mr. Obama, but he would very much like impeachment proceedings to be brought against him so that he can do what he does best – whine about how he and the “Democrats” are being discriminated against.
Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas, says Mr. Obama is opening the southern border to illegal immigrants in the hope that this will provoke the GOP into moving for his impeachment.
Rep. Stockman’s theory is that Obama is angling to get himself impeached before the mid-term elections because his spin-doctors believe that is the only chance the “Democrats” have to stave off a crushing defeat.
Chuck Todd, chief White House correspondent for NBC News, says the White House is praying for impeachment. He was not happy with House Majority Whip Steve Scalise for refusing to answer the question of whether or not there would be an impeachment motion.
Rep. Scalise said: “This might be the first White House in history that is trying to start narrative of impeaching its own president. … The White House wants to talk about impeachment. They want to go out and fundraise off of that.”
Dan Pfeiffer, a senior White House aide, like Mr. Todd, has been trying to help Mr. Obama’s fundraising by talking up the idea of an early GOP impeachment motion.
The “Democrat” Congressional Campaign Committee has already been fundraising using the supposed threat of imminent impeachment as a pretext. Nancy Pelosi – inevitably – has been trailing the idea, too.
Well, it won’t happen this side of the mid-terms, for the good and sufficient reason that the GOP has no majority in the Senate, and, with the chief justice of the Supreme Court presiding, would need a two-thirds majority to convict Mr. Obama of whatever crimes the House may accuse him of. The Constitution is quite plain on this point.
However, House Republicans are likely to face further questions about whether they would impeach Mr. Obama from prejudiced news media. They will need a clear line to take.
Since Speaker Boehner is asleep at the switch as usual, let me do his job for him. Every Republican in the House, if questioned about impeachment, should say there are plenty of grounds but that, since there is nothing like a two-thirds majority for conviction in the Senate, no motion for impeachment will be brought forward before the mid-terms.
The media will then ask whether House GOP representatives might move for impeachment after the mid-terms if the GOP obtained a two-thirds majority in the Senate.
The answer is simple: “We are delighted that the media think we may do well enough in the mid-terms to command a two-thirds majority in the Senate. But impeachment is a serious matter, and it should never be pursued for purely partisan advantage.”
Mr. Obama, the GOP should say, will only face a House motion for his trial by the Senate if it is sufficiently clear not only to the GOP but also to all but the blindest “Democrat” loyalists that he has committed treason, bribery or some other high crime or misdemeanor.
It will not, perhaps, be too long now before that evidence becomes available.
