Preacher Pimping is not just something that takes place in so-called “Urban Ministries†from the pulpits of Pastors featured on the Word Network. Unfortunately, the hustling for tithes transcends all racial lines. Yes, there exist White Pimp Preachers and we have featured many of them on our website, but every now and then there comes along a Special White Pimp that requires Special Attention.

Pastor Ed Young Jr. may have taken the Doctrine of Pimping for Tithes were no other Pimp Preacher has ever gone before; “If you don’t pay tithes don’t come to church.†In a video of a sermon dated October 10,2010 Ed Young Jr. makes a very fiery plea to his congregation to pay tithes or walk out of the church. Even those who would normally defend the exploitive practice of paying tithes had to admit that he may have gone too far.
Pastor Young has been very active in trying to remove this video and other videos of his sermons from the internet because they provided insight to the level of pimping in the name of Jesus that normally takes place at Fellowship Church in Dallas TX. Thanks to several very determined members of the Church Folk Revolution, mass video distribution of this most recent tongue lashing of his congregation is now in full circulation.
The new age of social media is now making it more and more difficult for preachers the likes of Ed Young to promote their scams and lottery gospel without getting exposed on sites like Facebook and YouTube.
In a video that is extremely difficult to watch, Ed Young Jr. goes on a rant about how every condition facing the Body of Christ is connected to members who opted out of tithing. Everything from crack addiction to divorce was somehow blamed on members that failed to pay tithes. Pastor Young even went as far as to say that you could become a millionaire if you paid tithes, not all of the members, but some could achieve that level of wealth.
Now we know why Young appointed his attorney to the top level position in his ministry, it will take an on staff attorney to come behind him to conduct damage control. From 2004 – 2010 Pastor Young was very successful in drawing the national media to his front door, but now there appears to be an all-out blitz to remove any and all content associated with Ed Young Jr., go figure!
As Young makes every attempt to conceal the false doctrine that he uses to suck hard earned cash out of the pockets of his congregation, there still remains two questions that we would like for him to address.
1. If you feel that the messages you preach is rooted in the true Word of God then why are you employing your legal team to take down certain videos of your sermons?
2. What is the curse that your members will get cursed with if they fail to pay tithes to you and your Luxury Jet?
It is because of Pastors like Ed Young Jr. that we continue to operate this website regardless of the cost involved or the time required, somebody has to speak out against this evil form of preaching.
We can only pray that the members in his congregation come to the realization that supporting Young’s lavish life style has nothing to with the ministry of Jesus Christ.
With everything that you have learned about Christ do you honestly think that he would want you to take your money and buy jet fuel for Ed Young versus helping a single mother in your community with her cost of continued education?
As much as I want to blame Ed Young, I have to also blame the members of this congregation for allowing themselves to get pimped. It is true that even on the street corners a whore can end the relationship with her pimp at any time because there is a separation point required for the prostitute to generate more cash. The membership at Fellowship has the same opportunity to break from the mind control of Ed Young Jr. and make a break for it – RUN!
The good news is even he admitted that only 20% of his congregation pays for the entire ministry, and to that acknowledgement we claim a victory in the name of Jesus! Now we have to pray that the 80% will select the next upcoming Sunday and get out into their communities and do some real work for Christ instead of supporting Pastor Ed Young Jr. and his Tithe Addiction.
