You’ll Never Forget the Moment He Sees the Sky For the Very First Time
The Humane Society of the United States rescued 111 chimpanzees from horrendous conditions in testing facilities and gave them–for the first time, or for the first time in a long time–their natural right to a peaceful habitat.
Rescuers brought the chimps to Chimp Haven, a vast stretch of northwest Louisiana land designated exclusively to rescued chimpanzees. This group of apes has nearly doubled the size of the sanctuary and is the largest number of chimps ever rescued at once.
In this video, apes gaze up to the sky for the first time in their lives. It is inspiring, beautiful, and something you’ll never forget.
Be thou comforted, little dog, Thou too in Resurrection shall have a little golden tail. ~ Martin Luther
