The coach was carrying the Tunisian president's personal guard through the capital Tunis when it was apparently blown up by a crazed jihadi on board.
Shocking pictures emerged showing the charred remains of the vehicle lying in the street still on fire as gleeful ISIS supporters claimed responsibility for the attack online.
Tunisian security officials said tonight that it appears an on board suicide bomber detonated a device just yards from the country's Interior Ministry.
Huge crowds built up as one of the city's busiest thoroughfares was closed by police

A spokesman for the Interior Ministry said the blast took place on the busy Mohamed V Avenue which would have been teaming with pedestrians and shoppers.
He added that the cause of the explosion is not yet clear, but it is feared that the attack may have been carried out by Islamist militants targeting president Beji Caid Essebsi.
ISIS supporters on Twitter initially claimed responsibility for the attack, speculating that an announcement through the terror group's official media outlet, the Al-Hayat Media Center, is imminent.

The north African country has been rocked by a series of terror attacks in recent weeks as jihadi fanatics linked to Islamic State (ISIS) wrestle for control in the region.
In March ISIS gunmen stormed the Bardo museum in Tunis slaughtering 22 tourists, mostly Europeans.
A few months later drug-fuelled fanatic Seifeddine Rezgui opened fire on a tourist beach at Sousse, killing 38 people including 30 Britons.
