Pit bull puppy who faced being put down has wonderful reaction to being adopted
A video of Benny the dog's walk to freedom after he is adopted has gone viral after the shy eight-month-old pit bull was facing a life cut short

Until recently, Benny was facing the possibility of being put down.
The eight-month-old pit bull was being housed in a kennel at the Carson Animal Care Center, a high-kill shelter in Gardena, California.

But, after weeks in the shelter, Christmas came early for this shy puppy when he was adopted.
Now a video showing the moment his new owners come to take him home has gone viral.
In the clip, Benny is seen nervously padding his paws and looking unsure as he is approached.
Eventually, he begins to sense the emotion is one of hope as he begins to wag his tail and shuffle forwards.

When he finally breaks free of the kennel the pup can hardly contain his joy.
