Felix Imonti: Saudi war games test-run for “Army of Mohammad”
(TRUNEWS) Geopolitical analyst Felix Imonti said the multinational war-games Saudi Arabia just hosted under the name ‘Northern Thunder’, was the ‘Army of Mohammad’ he warned about back in November 2013.
Imonti’s statements were made during an interview with Rick Wiles of TRUNEWS on Thursday, when describing the tensions growing between nation states in the middle east.
Imonti believes the drill held in Northern Saudi Arabia, which he says involved roughly 320,000 soldiers, was an example of Prince Mohammad bin Salman “flexing his muscles.” Imonti also noted that the new Saudi defense minister is a known hot head, and that he doubted the force accumulation was for an invasion of Syria based on the fact that the war in Yemen had going terribly for the Saudi’s.
On the subject of the Russian pullout from Syria, Imonti stated that he believes that President Vladimir Putin withdrew because of the growing costs related to the military intervention, topping almost $500 million to date. Imonti said the Russians were simply pulling their aircraft because they didn’t need them for the conflict there anymore, noting that the war was now ground based and the Russians would be leaving their T-90 tanks and artillery for the Syrian army to use.
Imonti said the Russian’s effectively defeated ISIS with the systematic dismantling of their oil infrastructure, including their supply lines to Erdogan in Turkey. He noted that ISIS has been defeated in Syria, and will now be shifting to a strategy of guerrilla warfare against Assad’s forces in Syria.
Imonti stated he believes ISIS has begun dispersing their forces to Afghanistan and Libya in search of new income sources, and will likely make an attempt at destroying the Mosul Dam before they completely leave Iraq to ensure the region is left in chaos in their wake.
