Anyone else think this will initiate "The Big One," seeing as every time the US does something bad to Israel, something bad happens to the US?
Obama Admin Makes Stunning Move to Literally Carve Up Israel, Muslims Celebrate
President Barack Obama has been no friend of Israel during his seven years in office. During his two terms, relations between the United States and Israel have deteriorated rapidly, and they continue to get worse by the day.
Beritbart reported that Obama’s latest slap in Israel’s face came when a U.S. State Department spokesmen stated that the Golan Heights do not belong to Israel.
This rebuke came after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stressed that the Golan Heights “will forever remain under Israeli sovereignty.” Netanyahu’s remarks were met with support from Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who has repeatedly stated that, if elected, he will stand “unapologetically” with Israel.
The State Department doesn’t share Cruz’s view of Israel and has repeatedly called for Israel to stop building settlements and give back the territory to Syria.
“The U.S. position on the issue is unchanged,” spokesman John Kirby stated. “This position was maintained by both Democratic and Republican administrations. Those territories are not part of Israel and the status of those territories should be determined through negotiations. The current situation in Syria does not allow this.”
President Bashar Assad of Syria is too busy trying to recapture parts of his country from rebels and terrorists to really be concerned about who is occupying the Golan Heights at the moment.
Cruz has emphasized his support for Israel throughout his campaign, taking positions such as advocating moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem and allowing Israel to continue building settlements.

“Given the presence of hostile terrorist organizations ranging from ISIS to Hezbollah on Israel’s northern border, it is foolhardy and dangerous for the international community to try to pressure Israel to abandon the Golan to the chaos engulfing Syria,” Cruz stated.
Other presidential candidates, like Donald Trump, have tried to take a more nuanced view regarding Israel. Trump has stated that he wants to try to remain neutral, a statement that has drawn considerable rebuke from the pro-Israeli portion of the population.
Regardless, both of these men would undoubtedly be much better allies with Israel than Barack Obama has ever been.
