POH was finally able to replace her 24 year old car with a newer one - a 2002. Just a few weeks after she got it, a woman in front of her stopped very suddenly, and POH rear-ended her. The woman's car - a Mercedes - has minor bumper damage, but the front of POH's car is smashed in. She doesn't have collision insurance as it's expensive and her only income is SSDI; also, it's not worth it on an older car, and her driving record is excellent, with no accidents. It would cost more to repair the car than it would to replace it, so she's trying to raise the money to get another used car.
Sadly, the woman whose car was hit is a scammer, who immediately started screaming that she had whiplash! POH tells me that when the told the woman that was ridiculous, the woman shouted, "I is a preacher lady, and I don't lie!!!!" Sad, isn't it? She was driving at under 20 MPH, felt only a minor jolt, and the airbag in neither car deployed.
Anyway, anything that you can give would be greatly appreciated. She puts a lot of love and time into this board, and - unlike other boards - we don't ask for donations to support our work. Even a few dollars here and there would add up; the goal is $2,000. If you can't afford to donate (and even if you can), prayer is appreciated.
I've chosen to set up a Paypal account rather than a GoFundMe account, because GoFundMe takes a much larger portion of donations than Paypal does. You don't need to have a Paypal account to send money; you can do so as a guest.

BTW, for those of you who love the "Here's Your Sign" thread, I'll be trying to update it for the next couple of days, as POH is - understandably - depressed and discouraged. I'll do the best I can, so be gentle!
