That's typical here in DC and Southern Maryland. And it's getting worse too it seems. People who say these are normal contrails have their heads buried in the sand.

I've watch the skies go from sunshiny crystal blue skies with not a cloud to be seen anywhere to a strange and murky white mess and the sun is hidden in a matter of hours. That's pretty much a typical day for us. Rarely do we have clear skies in the afternoon anymore.
