My one dog Wilbur (poodle/terrior mix) likes to 'steal' my grandchildren's stuff animals from their rooms...he especially likes the beanie babies. He's so cute when he does this too...he'll 'sneak' in when he thinks no one is looking and he'll pick up it and then try to 'sneak' out with it. Then he'll 'hide' it by the back door or underneath the table and then when I let him out he'll 'sneak' the toy out. He's a trip! My backyard looks like a graveyard for beanie babies! Some he buries, some are just lying there with their innards spilt out all over the place. He's a character, lol! I get the biggest kick out of him. So what does your pets do that is weird or funny?

I caught Aolani - my only dog- piling up some of my bears in the living room...I put a stop to that in a hurry! (I love my bears almost as much as I do my breathing animals.) She has her own swimming pool, and loves to play in it - I've never seen such a happy dog! She's even taught herself to hold her breath while her head is in the water. ;D Whisper - an adult male kitty - adores kittens; whenever we get a newcomer, he immediately adopts it, and can be found snuggled up with the new baby, or cleaning it. Gideon pokes me in the eye to wake me up. The youngest, Jacob and Esau, try and steal Aolani's food whenever they can. She's a lab/pitbull mix, and these two kittens have her totally cowed! ;D Velcro is my bad girl - every morning I get up and go in the kitchen to find she's peed on a dish towel. Actually, that's a big improvement...she used to like to pee on small appliances.... Aolani also likes to look for "chocolate crunchies" in the litter boxes....

Wilbur will pee in the air conditioner/heat vent....
I put a stop to that quick! He now wears a doggy diaper in the house. ;D
My Welch Corgi has a peeing problem too but won't let me near him with that diaper.

What is it with animals and their staring at us when we're sleeping? My Corgi will do that...I'll wake up to find him literally 5 inches away from my face staring at me! Gives me a heart attack, lol!

Birds are funny too... We had a cocketiel named Sunny (we loved him dearly) who used to 'sleep' with my son...he also loved to take showers with him and when my son brushed his teeth Sunny would sit on his shoulder going, 'shss shss shss'... I guess trying to make a brushing your teeth sound, lol! My son also used to take him bike riding with him (bicycle, not motercycle) and I used to take him riding in the car with me. We would clip his wings so he wouldn't fly off anywhere. One day he did take off (my grandaughter left the front door open) and that was the last time we saw him. We were all heartbroken to say the least. To this day my son thinks Sunny is living in Florida where it's warm, lol! I really miss that bird.

Awww....you'll be seeing Sunny again before you know it! My Bootsie was quite the thief. She used to steal stuff and bring it home - gloves, small pieces of clothing (probably from neighbors' clotheslines) - whatever. She loved bread, and one day some neighbors were having a cookout and she stole a package of hot dog buns right from under their noses, and came home with it, jumping over fences carrying the package in her mouth. ;D

lol! That's funny! Bootsie was bringing her mommy home some presents, lol! My cat Honky (I named her after Elton John's song Honky Cat...I was 14 years old at the time, what can I say!) used to bring me presents too..only mine were often of the mouse variety. She was so thoughtful! She used to leave them RIGHT BY MY HEAD so when I woke up it would be the VERY FIRST THING I WOULD SEE.

Well, that trauma explains a lot! I also had a cat who loved beer & pickles...I ended up naming him Pickles. (I love pickles too....hate beer; never touch it.)

Oh I agree! I haven't been the same since! ;D
I've heard of animals liking beer but never heard of them liking pickles...when she ate them, did she make a face?

Ollie my Maine Coon has this funny thing he does to me every night... It was cute when he was a baby but not that he is over 20lbs, it's not so cute, and it kinda hurts.. lol
He straddles my leg when I'm under the covers, and bites my ankles. While doing that, he kicks his back feet as if he's trying to break the neck of some ferocious animal that he pretends he is attacking... It's hilarious though. He has to do that every night a few times and then he calms down and goes to sleep. ;D

Oh you are very welcome, Sis! Your Maine Coon sounds like he was just trying to save you from the 'thing' that lurks beneath the covers at night. 'Oh no! My human is being attacked under the blanket! Cat to the rescue! Heroic battle ensues... I don't know why she screams like that...' ;D

One of our cats, Simba, will break open my son's Battleship game and steal the little pegs. He chases it around the house. He'll literally knock the closed game off it's shelf to make it open up. Needless to say... my son doesn't play the game anymore... not enough pegs to play the game.

My cat Honky (who is no longer with us) was never interested in toys...she was more like Winston (as in the Winston videos POH posted in this forum recently. If you haven't seen them, check it out! Winston is adorable!). I guess she thought toys were for lesser cats, lol. Good seeing you! Tell Doug I said HELLO!

*SIGH* Can someone PLEASE tell me how to get Velcro to stop peeing on the dish towel that's always on the kitchen counter? Ewwww!!!! Perhaps she/he thinks that's her/his personal potty? Can you hang it up somewhere instead so she/he can't get to it? Have you seen the new show My Cat From Hell? There was this cat on one episode which mainly peed in its owner's bathroom sink. Come to find out the cat was really finicky and had to have a clean kitty litter box or else it would use the bathroom sink instead. Ew. Here's a video of Jackson (who I think is way cool, btw) from My Cat From Hell:

Well actually, the dish towels are a BIG improvement...she used to pee on small appliances! I do have a couple of cats who sometimes pee in the bathtub...at least I can just turn the shower on for a minute to "flush" it.... From time to time I've caught Gabriel using the toilet for its intended purpose, rather than as a drinking fountain as the others do.

Hahaha you sunk my Battleship!!! LOL POH, I would suggest using electric litter boxes, sounds like that kitty doesn't like using a pre-used box. I have used electrics for years and for the most part have been very happy with them... You do have to maintain them periodically but nothing like the hand scoop ones. Maybe once or twice a week I look at it, that's it. Unfortunately, Littermaid recently merged with another company and their product is out of stock everywhere I've looked. One of my Littermaids broke recently after about 2 or 3 years of use and when I went to replace it, I can't find one anywhere, not even online!!!
