I've had users report that at least one ad is appearing that might be considered pornographic. I've contacted Proboards, and this was their response:
"Such ads are indeed not permitted. Instruct the users that get the ad to use our ad report tool by pressing CTRL + ALT + R on their keyboard, and this will bring up the ad-report page. This will allow them to report the ad to our ad team so we can get it removed from the rotation as soon as possible"
Should you get one of these ads, please follow these instructions to report it. Thanks.

Seriously am I the only one seeing this ad? It comes up almost every time I switch pages. I've already reported it several times, and yet they have not removed it. It's starting to really tick me off...

I checked on the support board; here's what they have to say: "I checked with our ad team this morning and they received a report about that particular ad, and have submitted the request to have it removed from the rotation. Thanks for the heads up on it  " I guess it takes a couple of days to catch up. I think the ads are tailored to your browsing history; after I look at Christoper & Banks or QVC or Wayfair, I get ads from them for days. I hate that - it's like everything you do is being watched. |

It isn't anything I would look at so unless someone else used my computer...(which could happen) then I don't know why this ad keeps showing up for me... It's disgusting.

Great, now there is a new pornographic ad showing... and they never did take down the last one... This is a Christian board, and it's really ticking me off...

I contacted ProBoards again, and here's their response: "Just wanted to give a sincere apology for the ads that have displayed on your forum. While we have contacted our advertising network late last week as was noted to you, we're going to be contacting them again today about this issue as those ads are not tolerable to our ad standards. With that noted, I've gone ahead and made your forum ad-free until I get confirmation that the ad has been removed from the rotation." They really do a great job at Proboards; say a prayer for Ricky there - he's helped us before. I saw that ad, and it's for weight loss products, but why the heck do they have to use sex and nudity to sell everything from cars to furniture? I'm so sick of it! |

Thanks POH, there is no excuse for that kind of content on a Christian board... they must be reviewing those ads before they go up... They were truly offensive.

That shouldn't be on ANY board. From what I gather, and outside company does the ad rotation, and they're supposed to adhere to ProBoard's community standards, which they're apparently not.
