Kim Jong Un observes latest missile test launch in North Korea
Despot Kim Jong-un personally supervised the test of a new ballistic missile controlled by a precision guidance system on Monday, and threatened president Donald Trump as he pledged to send “a bigger gift package to the Yankees”.
It differed from previous tests of the "Hwasong" rockets - North Korea's name for its Scud-class missiles - as it was equipped with an advanced automated pre-launch sequence that landed within seven metres of its target off the east coast, the KCNA agency claimed.
Pyongyang is using the test launch as a warning to the US, which has two carriers - USS Carl Vinson and USS Ronald Reagan - currently operating in the Korean peninsula as a demonstration of American might.
