Please pray for my Svetlana. She scared the heck out of me - I found blood all over the dining room table the other day, and I couldn't figure out which cat it came from, until I saw she had some blood on her chin. She's OK, but having trouble eating, and last night was drooling a lot - no doubt she has a toothache or a broken tooth. (Her appetite is good - she went though about 6 pouches of Fancy Feast broth, although she can't chew the solid bits.)
I called the regular vet, and they said they couldn't see her until Wedneday. Seriously? Aside from the fact that I'm a good client, given all the animals I have, how would they like to have their dentist tell them they can't be seen for a few days when they have a toothache?
Anyway, I'm taking her to a different vet at 2 - this one has even better reviews than the usual one and they also do dogs, which the regular vet doesn't, so it'll be good to check them out.

She's good, Shalom - thanks for asking. She lost one of her canine teeth, which is why she was bleeding. The new vet said she's much oldher than I thought - she's in her teens - and she has very few teeth left. Svetlana has been eating about 8 pouches of cat food a day, which I put thruogh a blender so it's easier for her to eat. I had to go back to the vet because they called to say the lab made a mistake with her samples - they got sent to Las Vegas, and weren't kept refrigersted! Anyway, when I took her in on Monday afterternoon she weighed 6.04 pounds; on Friday afternoon she was up to 7.5 pounds! She's always been a big eater, so I'm having her thyroid tested, since she's always been so thin. She'll gobble down her food, start in on the other cats' food, then hit the dog's food...
