New James Bond girl Gemma Arterton has revealed she was born with an extra finger on each hand.

The 22-year-old beauty, who plays Agent Fields in the upcoming James Bond film Quantum of Solace, had the digits removed not long after birth, the Daily Mail newspaper reports.
Arterton was born with the condition known as polydactyly, which affects one in every thousand children.
"It's my little oddity that I'm really proud of," Arterton told the Mail.
"People are really interested but repulsed at the same time."
The doctor that delivered her tied off the extra fingers, causing them to fall off and leave minor scars.
The actress said the condition ran in her family, with her father and grandfather having extra digits.

have been found at only a single site in Russia, though genetic evidence suggests they ranged
further afield.
Scientists estimate that Europeans owe more than half their variants of one class of gene to
interbreeding with Neanderthals and Denisovans, Nephilim. Asians may owe up to 80%, and
Papua New Guineans up to 95%.
