Well, my Aolani is still missing; I don't know if she's been killed, or if someone decided to keep her rather than try and find her owner...she does have on a collar and tags, and ran off dragging her leash. The local shelters have been notified, and have her picture. I'm still praying she's OK and comes home, and she's MY dog, so she's coming with me at the rapture no matter where she is. Today I went to look at a puppy that was advertised on Craigslist - there were two to choose from - a light one and a dark one - and the "rehoming fee" was reasonable at $40, as it was just to cover their shots (which I'm opposed to, but it was done already....) and deworming. I couldn't decide which one to take, and the woman who had rescued their mom said I could have a two-for-one-special..... ;D I'm too soft-hearted for my own good sometimes! At least they can play together and keep each other entertained. Lilli is the white one with the beige eye patch; she also has a round patch just above her tail. Lexie is the black one with the eyebrows. The little beige guy was already spoken for. Attachments:

POH,
Would you mind starting a thread on pets and the rapture? I would really like to hear what others have to say on the subject. Dr. David Reagan did a good teaching i heard once that convinvced me to be more open minded to the subject. I'd really like to hear the rationale about pets going in the rapture. I keep telling my wife that our dog Eli is going with me no matter what...and she has doubts and worries about him in the event the rapture happens.

I know my Jesus - and there's not a molecule of meanness in Him. Can you imagine getting married, and your spouse tells you you have to toss your pets into an alligator pit? Heck, you'd leave him in a heartbeat - that's not a very loving thing to do! In fact, I have a friend who was desperate to get married, and the first thing her new husband did was make her take her pets to the pound. I'd have gotten rid of HIM first - in fact, she finally did that, after putting up with several years of his selfishness. She won't divorce him, but they're living apart, she got two cats, and now she's happy. The Lord says He'll deny us no good thing, and WHATEVER we ask for, we shall receive. Wouldn't you do anything to make someone you love happy, even if it made them smile for just a minute? Would the Lord do any less? He loves us infinitely more than we love anyone else! Can you imagine him saying, "Sorry David, but I already died for you...you're pushing it when you ask me to rescue your pets." NO! (Romans 8:32 says as much.) In fact, I have no doubt that whatever we cherish and enjoy - things such as gifts from people we love, special mementos, etc. will be in our eternal homes. God doesn't take away anything that's good - He just perfects it and makes it better - no more decay, wearing out, theft, or whatever. Jack Van Impe did a good study on pets and the rapture; I'll have to look for it and post it when I do. There's also an excellent book called Cold Noses at the Pearly Gates that addresses the subject.

They're both adorable, POH...I know how you feel, I wouldn't be able to choose between the two and would end up taking both of them. I'm a softy too.
Let us know when you get them!

I've got theym - they came home with me Friday! They're so cute - I was doing some yard work, and they squeezed out through the picket fence that's on one portion of the yard. I scolded them with a loud, "NO!" and put them back inside the fence. A little while later I checked on them again, and they had gotten out again. Even before I reached them I said, "NO! Bad girls!" They hustled like crazy to get back through the fence and into the yard, but Lili is a porker and her fat little butt got stuck! ;D
I have more pics of them on FB.

So far, they're afraid of them. I'm pretty much keeping the puppies on the back porch until they're housebroken, so there's not much interaction.

I have doubts....but am pretty much leaning towards pets going too. I think specifically the "me and my house" rule kind of applies. Though i'm unsure how to equate that obviously to other things. Clearly, unsaved humans won't go....no matter how much we want them too. Pets on the other hand, are witnesses themselves to the nature of God, the love of God and they themselves recognize God's authority.

Remember, the animals are innocent and without sin.
Psalm 145 says, "The Lord is faithful to all His promises and loving towards all He has made."
Can you for one second imagine Him saying, "Gee little kitten/puppy, all you ever knew was hunger and abuse and misery...but I loved you!" NO!!!!!
Jack Van Impe has a great study on animals in the rapture and in Heaven, and there's also a terrific book called Cold Noses at the Pearly Gates.

Well, we're told to preach the Gospel to EVERY creature! ;D
When any of my babies misbehave, I tell them that if they're not good, they're going to be left behind, because Jesus doesn't want bad kitties and goggies in heaven. I had a cat named Radar about 20 years ago, and one day I said to him, "Radar, you know what? Jesus is coming SOON!" I can swear that cat grinned.
I also had a kitty named Buttercup who loved to praise Jesus.
Both of them decided they wanted to move in with other people; I sure miss them - it'll be good to see them again.
