I'm a capitalist, but I agree with them in part: There's a line between profit and GREED. For example, manufacturing had been outsourced to other countries. Result: Higher profits for shareholders, higher salaries for corporate executives, higher unemployment in the US, and people in Third World countries who made the things we buy being treated like slaves.
It's not just people overseas who are being exploited. For example, the employees of places like Walmart and JCP are not being paid a living wage; they're encouraged to apply for food stamps and Medicaid! Yet several years ago an article in a management magazine gave the salary of the head of HR at Walmart as being over $8 MILLION! Sure, executives are being paid for their expertise, but why should the people at the bottom - the ones who contribute so much to what makes a company great - be exploited? For example, the local JCP cut back the hours of the older employees - the ones who made a few dollars more than minimum wage - in an effort to force them to quit. They were replaced with people - often those of a lesser caliber - who were willing to work for minimum wage.
How much money do the upper level executives need? Many are making far more than they can spend in lifetime!
