I love this movie! I got a chance to watch it the other day (I haven't seen it in years) what a treat! It's one of those movies that you lol a LOT and just generally makes you happy! Crossing Delancey 1988 PG 97 minutes "Try as she might, career woman Izzy Grossman (Amy Irving) can't escape her family's good intentions. She's a single gal with good friends and a great job, but her loving grandmother (Reizl Bozyk) is convinced that Izzy needs a man to be happy. Enter pickle vendor Sam (Peter Riegert), a local nice guy who just can't seem to win Izzy's heart. Jeroen Krabbé co-stars as Sam's competition, and Sylvia Miles appears as matchmaker Hannah Mandelbaum." www.imdb.com/title/tt0094921/It's a bit old (1988) but nevertheless it is a delightfully charming gem of a movie! You can't help but fall in love with Sam and want to smack Izzy upside her (very snotty and snobbish) head. And the grandmother Bubbe is a hoot! All in all this is just a really nice fun little movie to see. I give it 4 thumbs up! So that's one of my all time fave movie (for us girls) to see, what are some of yours?

I'm not generally a fan of Chick Flicks, but one of my all-time favorites is Never Been Kissed with Drew Barrymore. In it she plays Josie, an intelligent young woman who was an ugly duckling in school, where she was pretty much the class joke, but who blossomed into a swan after she graduated and landed an editing job at a newspaper, where she dreamed of becoming a reporter. Her dream is combined with a nightmare when her first reporting assignment is to go undercover as a student at a local high school, where she's supposed to write about things that are pertinent to the youth of today. Josie has changed a lot over the years, and this time around becomes one of the most popular girls at school....but amid all the skanky girls who are only interested in bedding their male classmates, she holds on to her desire to never so much as kiss a boy unless he's the one she was always intended for. I don't buy a lot of DVDs...but I did buy this one. Three thumbs up!

I'm not generally a fan of Chick Flicks, I'm not either but some of them are real gems. Another one of my favorite is While You Were Sleeping with Sandra Bullock. Very cute movie.
